ROLLING RECRUITMENT NOTICE NO. : THS/RN/19/2019 a) Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) is an autonomous Institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. The institute is an integral part of the interdisciplinary NCR Biotech Science Cluster located at Faridabad, and is designed as a dynamic, interactive organization with the mission to conduct innovative translational research and to develop research collaborations across disciplines and professions to translate concepts into tangible products to improve human health. This recruitment is to fill up the vacancies under the project entitled “Translational Research Consortium for Establishing Platform Technologies to support Prophylactic and Therapeutic Strategies for Dengue –Discovery to Proof-of-Concept.” b) The eligibility criteria for the post is as under: S. Minimum Qualification and experience

Ph.D. in Life Sciences from a recognized University with a minimum experience of one year in virology. At least one peer-reviewed publication in an international journal as a first author. The published article should be indexed in PubMed or Scopus or other relevant public database/repositories. Preference will be given to candidates with strong virology background. Post-graduate degree/professional degree in life sciences from a recognized University with at least 5 years’ experience in human or veterinary virology.

Job Description

Handling cell culture and animal models of infection, establishing molecular, serological and neutralizing assays for dengue virus. Isolating and characterizing dengue isolates from clinical samples. Supervising and training technicians and research fellows.

Performing molecular, serological and diagnostic assays for dengue virus. Animal cell culture techniques, neutralizing assays and virus isolation from clinical samples.
