Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of two “Project JRF” in a DBT-sponsored research project and one “Project JRF” in a DST-sponsored project. Name and number of the Post: Project JRF and 03 (Three) positions Minimum Qualifications: M.Sc. in any discipline of Life Sciences with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized University/Institute. Research Experience for DST JRF Position: Previous experience in handling metagenomic data, Linux, machine learning handing of large sequence datasets is required. Research Experience for DBT JRF Position: At least two years previous experience in handling metagenomic data, structural bioinformatics, Linux and R is required, OR Experience in molecular biology techniques related to genomics/metagenomics is required. Note: The candidates for computational JRF Position should be willing to work at IISER Mohali also as per the requirements of the collaborative project. Age Limit: Applicant should not have completed 35 years of age as on the last date of application. Salary for JRF Position: Rs. 31,000/- p.m. + 16% HRA (= Rs. 35,960/- consolidated) for candidates with Valid CSIR NET JRF or GATE qualification will be considered for project JRF position. Duration: One year and may be extended based on performance or tenure of the project.
