PRIO looking for W2W solution

buzios 9 SURF

PRIO is out in the market looking to hire an accommodation vessel for 30 to 50 PAX. Commencement is expected for March 2023 with a contract period of 10 months firm. This type of vessel is being sought more frequently by oil companies, including Petrobras. In November, the NOC issued a RFI for an accommodation vessel with similar specifications. A few months earlier, Perenco issued a tender for a walk-towork solution to possibly replace Mar Limpo III, a PSV adapted with a gangway. Perenco received offers but ended up renewing the Mar Limpo III contract. Also this year the HOS Brass Ring was under charter with SBM Offshore providing accommodation services for 60 days, before UMS Venus took over the job.

Petrobras’ Búzios 9 SURF (Subsea, Umbilical, Riser, Flowlines) EPCI tender is out in the market. The campaign should begin by Q2 2026 and is expected to have a duration of 10 months. Búzios’ 9th module will be the P-80 FPSO, awarded to Keppel earlier this year. Given the execution of this campaign is set far down the line, the main EPC contractors should have concluded the current projects in their respective portfolio by then, resulting in more vessel availability, thus making room for more disputed competition. As opposed to the recent Mero 4 SURF tender, which ended up being cancelled by Petrobras due to lack of offers. The previous SURF contracts for Búzios fields were awarded to Saipem (Búzios 5 and 7), TechnipFMC (Búzios 6) and Subsea7 (Búzios 8).

petrobras AHTS TS/TO

FPSO Petrojarl I recently got a new certification from Det Norske Veritas (DNV) assuring that the production unit will remain in operation until mid2024 in Atlanta Field, when Enauta expects to begin in the definitive production system of the field. With this new certification, the contract between Enauta and Altera Infrastructure, owner of the FPSO, should be extended for 2 more years until May 2025. Enauta Energia owns 100% of the Atlanta field, located in Santos Basin.

Today, Petrobras postponed at the last minute its ongoing AHTS TS/TO tender. The opportunity has been drawing attention in the market as it is the first ever public tender from Petrobras aiming to hire a hybrid propulsion vessel (with battery packs). This is the 3rd postponement granted by Petrobras since the tender was issued and the new deadline is now December 30th 2022. Will Petrobras stick to the new deadline and wrap up the tender so close to New Year’s eve? Let’s see…
