AHTS A.H. VALLETTA, from owners CBO, has just finished a 30-day contract with PRIO and is now available in the spot market. The Brazilian flagged vessel has 584 m2 of free deck area and 222 tons of Bollard Pull.

Following the latest announcements from Karoon Energy regarding its drilling campaign offshore Brazil, the company announced that it has started production from Patola’s second well at an initial rate of more than 12.000 barrels of oil per day. The total production of the BM-S-40 block, located in Santos basin, is now over 40.000 barrels of oil per day. After an initial period of production from Patola, Karoon predicts that total BM-S-40 rates will drop to between 33,000 and 35,000 barrels of oil per day in the coming weeks.

Following our last Weekly market update, PSV Oceanicasub VIII has arrived in Guanabara Bay. Formerly named Havila Fortune, she is expected to commence a new contract with Petrobras in the coming weeks. The other vessel recently acquired by Oceanica, exNormand Sira renamed Oceanicasub IX, is expected to arrive by mid-April.

Equinor released a long-term requirement for two PSVs and one AHTS to support operations in their Peregrino and Bacalhau fields. All contracts consider a 2-year firm period plus 2 options of 1 year each, with a deadline to submit offers until April 14th 2023. The Norwegian oil company set commencement dates for all vessels not later than Q3 2023. Equinor’s fleet in Brazil is currently composed of 8 OSVs, shared between production support activities in Peregrino and the development campaign for Bacalhau.

new well at atlanta field

Enauta Energia recently concluded the connection of the well 7-ATL-5H-RJS to FPSO Petrojarl I in the Atlanta field. The well is producing 10,000 barrels of oil per day at the moment, lifting the field´s production to 16,000 barrels of oil per day. This is the first of three production wells aimed at in this drilling campaign. The others are expected to be finished during 2023. The Brazilian oil company expects to drill another 4 producing wells in the next phase of the project.
