Petrobras issued to the market a Request for Information (RFI) to check the availability of small accommodation vessels. According to the technical specification sheet provided along with supporting documents, Petrobras seeks a vessel with 45 POB capacity, 200m2 of free deck area, DP2 and an active heave compensated gangway. As opposed to standard UMS tenders from Petrobras, this RFI requires interested parties to inform if they´re able to provide catering services in addition to the regular services. Technically speaking, this RFI is very similar to a tender issued by Petrobras back in July 2021 which was awarded to Solstad’s, Normand Valiant. Deadline to confirm interest and submit responses is today November 18th.

The five Platform Supply Vessels from owners Edison Chouest have arrived in Brazil to perform support operations in the Equatorial margin exploration & production projects. All vessels are sailing under foreign flag and have valid CAA’s. The vessels Corcovado, C Viking, C Warrior, Mr Sidney and Virgie have started their preparations for final delivery to Petrobras.

battery pack for petrobras Following world’s green transition and helping to reduce CO2 emission, Petrobras has maintained the battery package requirement in the AHTS TS/TO – 7003957481 opportunity. According to Petrobras and considering the long lead time for having the battery pack installed, Owners will have until the end of the first twelve months after the start of operations to make the necessary adjustments. Petrobras also informed that the mobilization and start dates for operations may be negotiated between the Commission and the winning companies given the 120 days required to deliver the vessels (due July 2023 and September 2023, respectively). The tender deadline was postponed to November 30th and any clarification request must be submitted latest by today the 18th.

PSV Layla

Following the recourse presented by Oceanpact during appeal phase of the OTSV tender, Petrobras informed the market that said recourse was denied. According to Petrobras pursuant to their technical area assessment, no findings were identified that would imply the exclusion of Locar from the tender process. Thus, Locar has been awarded with the vessel Layla which is a 4000dwt PSV currently employed in South Africa.
