psv for mero

Petrobras has approached the market with yet another demand for Mero. Last Monday, the NOC issued a new SEP (closed tender opportunity) inviting to receive offers for Multipurpose PSVs of 3000 & 4500 DWT to be deployed in this presalt oil field. The contract duration will be of 914 days with mobilization of 120 days, giving a bit more of a fighting chance to foreign flag vessels, which are also being considered by Petrobras on for this demand. Petrobras decided to revert back to the single closed envelope offers as opposed to the reverse auction adopted in the last SEP process for Roncador which was recently cancelled. Deadline for proposals is currently set for November 9th 2022.

Enauta is in final preparation phase to commence their drilling campaign in Atlanta Field, Santos basin. The first well to be drilled, which is scheduled for Q4 2022, should increase the field’s oil production to over 20 thousand barrels of oil per day. Enauta will deploy Constellation’s semi-submersible rig “Alpha Star” which is expected to conclude the drilling of the 3 new wells in 7 months. Earlier this year the company announced the acquisition of the FPSO “OSX-2” for the definitive system of the Atlanta field that is under production since 2018 through an Early Production System (EPS) comprising three wells connected to the FPSO “Petrojarl I”.

FPSO P-71 The FPSO P-71 has recently sailed from Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz (EJA) shipyard heading to ultradeep water Itapu field at the Santos Basin offshore Brazil. This vessel is the second delivered by SembCorp Marine for the Tupi B.V. consortium. The platform was built with a capacity to produce up to 150.000 barrels of oil per day and to store 1.6 million barrels of oil. The FPSO originally arrived from China in 2020 but due to Petrobras’ then decision to focus on ultra-deep waters, she needed to be sent to EJA for modifications in line with this new employment.

The unit was awarded by Petrobras a two years firm contract plus one year option in 2021 to operate exclusively at the Roncador field. The new wells will be connected to the four platforms in operation in the area – P-52, P-54, P-55 and P-62.
