new deal for HOS Brass Ring
new FPSO
Brass Ring from Hornbeck Offshore chartered for core sampling in Guyana. The vessel is currently mobilizing at a yard in Niterói and will be departing for the contract within a week. Great deal achieved by Hornbeck.
FPSO Almirante Barroso (MV32) was delivered yesterday at BrasFELS shipyard in Angra dos Reis after being cleared at customs. The unit will undergo final commissioning stages at the yard before it can be towed again to location. The MODEC unit will comprise the 5th module of Petrobras’ production system in Búzios field, Santos Basin. Current forecast for commencement of operations and first oil for the FPSO is Q1 2023.
new petrobras PSV tender Petrobras released this week a new tender to charter up to 20PSVs in multiple batches and types. The PSVs are divided into Multipurpose, Fluid Carrier & General Cargo, 3000, 4000 and 4500t dwt and shall be chartered according to a pre-defined order. Larger PSVs on a higher priority (if rates justify). The Brazilian national has defined that amongst the chartered vessels, at least 2 will be fluid carriers. This tender is of closed offer dispute with no reverse auction and deadline submission is currently set to October 27th.

solstad strikes new contract Normand Titus 2014 built DP2 PSV from Solstad has been awarded a one year firm plus one year option contract by Trident Energy do Brasil. Commencement date is expected for early fourth quarter 2022. The vessel will support London based Trident activities at Pampo and Enchova fields in Campos Basin, which acquired from Petrobras in 2019. Normand Titus arrived in Brazil in early 2022 for her first job in national waters for Shell’s drilling campaign at block C-N-791 in Campos basin, performed with Seadrill’s drillship West Tellus.
