New Faces on Campus

Dr. Shawn Brower

Westminster began a new era in its storied history in 2022 with the arrival of Dr. Shawn Brower to serve as the 10th Head of School. Dr. Brower came to Westminster from Briarwood Christian School in Birmingham, Ala., where he served as the Head of the Upper School and varsity men’s high school soccer coach. He was responsible for leading 82 faculty and staff and nearly 900 students in grades seven through 12. During Dr. Brower’s seven year tenure, Briarwood boasted an upper school retention rate of 98 percent, developed a system-wide graduate profile aimed at future readiness that aligns with school mission and vision, bolstered a robust academic program, and expanded fine arts and athletic programs.
