Providing for a Growing Athletic Program

One of the benefits of private, Christian education is the opportunity to participate in many activities that are not available to all students in public schools, often due to the sheer number of students vs. roster spots. At Westminster, we are proud to say that our students have ample opportunity to participate in athletic endeavors, and many of our students in the Middle and Upper Schools are two, or even three sport athletes.

With such strong commitment in our student body, and support from our Booster Club and community, we set out over a period of 15 months to make some significant improvements to our facilities to better serve our students, families, and guests.

Refinishing of the Upper School Gym Floor

Over the summer of 2022, the Upper School Gym floor was refinished and repainted. This provided a beautiful new home for Tebbs Court and for our basketball and volleyball teams to play.

Resodding of the Middle School Practice Field

This field had fallen into disrepair and was an unrealized benefit. With some sprinkler rerouting and careful work on the part of our groundskeepers, it has turned into a beautiful field for physical education classes and Middle School soccer practice. We have some exciting plans for this area in the future!

New Scoreboard

Competitive teams need a standout scoreboard, and now we have one! Thanks to the Booster Club and our friends at Coca-Cola, our Wildcats show off our wins in style.

New Activity Bus

While the new activity bus is used by the entire school for field trips, fine arts events, and other needs, it does fill a huge need in transporting our athletic teams to away games. We are so thankful to have this resource!

New Stadium Seating

Coming Summer 2023! Brand new stadium seats are coming to the home side of Wildcat Stadium this summer. You can look forward to more comfortable seating for your next game!
