1988
Brian Laughlin and his wife Angela are the proud parents of sons Jackson, age 18, and Jonathan, age 16. The family resides in Wilsonville, Alabama, where Brian is a Specialty Products Sales Manager for Thompson Tractor Company.

1989
In 2019 Ryan Lutz took a position at Augusta Technical College, teaching composition and literature, and began doing some freelance writing, most often for Augusta Magazine and Athens Magazine. In 2022 he and his wife, Tracy (Westminster’s Middle School principal), became emptynesters. Jonathan ‘19 finished his undergraduate studies at Georgia College and State University, where he will stay for his master’s in accounting; Reagan ‘21 is a junior kinesiology major at Augusta University and is pursuing occupational therapy school; and Connor ‘22 just completed his freshman year at the University of North Georgia.
1998
Joseph Lutz celebrated his 20th year in education with the 202223 school year. In his career he has taught grades 5-12 with stints at Augusta Christian, the Richmond County school system, Heritage Academy, and Augusta Preparatory Day School where he is currently the English Department chair. Among many milestones, he was a coach for the back-to-back-to-back State Literary champions.
2000
Kathryn (Haburchak) Brown and her husband, Nick, recently celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary! They live in Marietta, GA, and are the proud parents of two boys, Hudson, age 8, and Wyatt, age 5. Kathryn is a Product Manager with Home Depot and enjoys volunteering with her children’s school and sports activities.

2002
In 2020, after nine years as the owner and principal of Layman College Consulting, Elease (Saxon) Layman closed her business in order to focus more fully on homeschooling her two children, Mark, age11, and Faye, age 9, and to support her husband Matt who is a Software Architect for Included Health. Elease is also in her fourth year of service as treasurer and chair of the Budget & Finance Committee at her church, New Hope OPC.
2004
After graduating with his Masters in Theological Studies from Grimke Seminary in December of 2022, Brad Hillman transitioned from teaching and coaching to a full time pastoral position in Buford, Georgia. His new role is Pastor of Connections where he oversees the assimilation of the covenant members of Emmaus Church. Brad and his wife Karen are parents to Brody, Bryce, Taysum, and Wesley.
2006
Ben Hastings spent 2016-2018 in Ukraine as part of the OSCE’s Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine, focused on seeing a peaceful resolution to the 20142022 conflict. Ben currently resides in Minnesota and completed his MBA at Hamline University in 2021. He is a software product manager and currently leads a team of US and offshore employees developing analytics and reporting tools within a software suite.

2010
First time parents Mary Francis (McGahee) and Christopher Ryals welcomed son James Perry (JP) in February of 2022.
Katelyn (Rimer) Ross wrote and published a women’s expository devotional and two children’s books last year. She and her husband Adam have a three year old son named August and reside in Hampton, Virginia.


2012
Lindsay Williamson graduated from medical school at the University of South CarolinaColumbia in May of 2023. She will be starting ophthalmology residency at the Medical College of Georgia this summer.
