Since 1954, BSCD has supported local landowners with financial and technical assistance, along with public outreach to Blaine County residents on overall conservation efforts. BSCD is available to do soil and alfalfa testing, and has a no-till drill.

It encourages educational and personal growth through its collections, its reference resources, its technological options and its personal approach to 21st-century library practices. It engages in meaningful partnerships with other nonprofits for the benefit of the entire community. We offer free access to all of our services, including hard copy and digital books and movies, DVDs, WiFi, printing, computer use, programs, museum access and regional history collections.

Both sites offer volunteering and education, inspiring healthy, outdoor and community-based experiences for all members of Blaine County. Farming practices used include permanent beds and no tillage, cover crops, mulch, compost, native species incorporation and only use of USDA Certified Organic inputs and disease/pest management. Fresh produce is available in exchange for volunteer hours! Come to public volunteer sessions at the Hope Garden or Bloom Farm in Hailey from June through September! Come to our Bellevue warehouse and office any Monday through Thursday year-round.
