“With the launch of the Impact Idaho Fund, SVIR has taken their support of local farms to a new level. Because of this program’s help, we’ve accelerated our timeline for converting more land from hay production to vegetables. It’s a big boost for our farm.” – Briana Swette, Lookout Farm

uilding resilience takes investment. Purchasing locally supports our regional farms, ranches and producers, but what if you could do more? The Impact Idaho Fund, a program of the Sun Valley Institute for Resilience, is a vehicle to get capital to local businesses for innovative projects advancing community resilience in central and southern Idaho. Investments will target the buildout of regenerative, renewable and sustainable practices related to food and farm, land, water and energy use. The Fund is activating mission-driven capital to strengthen the regional supply chain by funding diversified farm operations. These improvements create more reliable access to locally grown, nutrient-dense food and provide revenue streams for land stewards. The Fund is designed to address gaps in the Wood River Valley’s resilience, prioritizing natural resource regeneration and considering land, water and energy use.
