Life and Resurrection... Be HE LIVES!! "If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit that dwells in you." ~ Rm 8:11, NRSV
The amazing truth of Easter isn't limited to the story of Jesus - that he alone conquered death. As Christians, of course we celebrate Jesus' victory, but the bigger picture is what it means - LIFE for God's people! It is not an exaggeration to share that every day at the Mission, we are faced with life and death situations. The dangers of addiction and food insecurity loom, but even more, hovers the dark abyss that threatens to swallow up so many of the people that come to us for help. When we meet them, we often see the shadows of death in their eyes. BUT... EASTER! The LIFE that we are witness to on our campus is overwhelming. The miracle of watching the shadows fade and life begin is no less amazing than the birth of a child. It IS birth! It IS life! Here at the Mission, the Spirit is moving, healing, birthing, strengthening, growing.... and YOU are a part of that! We are so thankful that the Spirit in you is a part of the LIFE that emerges here. This Easter season, let us celebrate together the LIFE that comes through Christ and continue our ministry in His name... Because HE LIVES!! Hallelujah!!
