O give thanks to theLord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever[…] who led his people through the wilderness, for his steadfast love endures forever; Psalms 136:1,16a (NRSV)
Dear Friends,
God’s steadfast love does indeed endure forever, and we are grateful to bear witness to the impact of that love After the COVID-19 pandemic impinged on our ability to welcome friends from the community to work closely with us on campus, we were blessed to fully reopen our doors to visitors and volunteers this year!
I am tremendously proud of all that our small but mighty team at the Westminster Rescue Mission has accomplished together These are accomplishments that would not have been possible without God’s steadfast love and the generosity of our donors and supporters. The dozens of men and women we’ve walked alongside at our CARF-accredited Addiction Healing Center have worked hard to overcome their addictions and gain a new lease on life Thousands of hungry neighbors have received free food through the Mission Food Program, in our role as a redistribution partner of the Maryland Food Bank for Carroll County and surrounding areas
We are blessed to have so many benefactors serving alongside us, through volunteer efforts, philanthropy, and gifts of community. So it is with genuine pleasure that I share the Westminster Rescue Mission’s FY2022 Impact Report with you, for the period covering September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2023 Thank you for sharing YOUR steadfast love and generous support in making so many miracles possible.

The Westminster Rescue Mission is a community that provides clinical, physical, and spiritual resources to heal the addicted and feed the hungry. We take a holistic approach with Christ as the foundation of our work Our faith drives the work that we do: we are committed to loving and serving individuals where they are, not requiring them to share our faith in order to receive services Our goal is to demonstrate and share God’s love by offering services of healing The Mission was founded as a Christian organization but is not affiliated with any particular denomination We are many and varied The Apostles’ Creed unifies us and guides our work, rather than the specific beliefs of singular churches
