MISSION MOMENTS WESTMINSTER RESCUE MISSION MISSION MEALS MULTIPLIED | ADDICTION HEALING CENTER | MISSION MARKETPLACE

A CELEBRATION OF WOMEN “…who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14) Dealing with COVID outbreaks and facing an opioid and addiction crisis, the likes of which we’ve never seen, we know what it means to be in “such a time as this.” Fortunately, God uses people in incredible ways in the midst of times of turmoil, as He did with Queen Esther. This month, National Women’s History Month, we’re celebrating the uniqueness and value of the Mission’s women who certainly seem to be made for this time and this work. We asked our women in leadership: "What is your WHY?" Their responses touched our hearts and I wanted to share them with you (on page 3), along with our gratitude for how your partnership impacts the lives of men and women who are struggling to hang on in a world that is quick to leave them behind. On the frontlines in our Addiction Healing Center, we’re celebrating the women who are learning about what it means to surrender and to allow God to provide the healing that they have been seeking for so long. More women are finding their way here… to sobriety, to new jobs, and to Christ. Page 4 provides a brief overview of the treatment options available to both women and men, while our website provides a comprehensive look at all our service ministries. I encourage you to take a look (WestminsterRescueMission.org). Lastly, I wanted to share my WHY. Aristotle said “Where your talents and the needs of the world cross, there lies your vocation.” The Lord planted this Mission in my heart. Having experienced being in the grip of addiction and also having

experienced the life-changing journey of recovery, I am blessed to walk alongside others and share my experience, strength, and hope. There is pain in the world, and if God has blessed me with a few gifts and experiences that can be a part of helping to alleviate that pain, it is a joy to be standing in that intersection. Peace and Blessings,

Executive Director, WRM
