World Vision, recipient of Citi Foundation’s Global Innovation Challenge World Vision in the Philippines is proud to be a recipient of Citi Foundation’s inaugural Global Innovation Challenge. We join 49 other organizations around the world that were chosen for this grant, which aims at supporting projects and solutions that will address food security and strengthen the physical and financial health of low-income families and communities. Through this grant, World Vision will implement Project AID (Agricultural Innovation Development), and provide opportunities to 5,000 individuals belonging to vulnerable farming households in Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental to build their knowledge and skills in agriculture and develop specialization in technological farming innovations. Aside from improving the food security and nutrition of the families, the project will also provide economic and entrepreneurial opportunities through the scaling up of income-generating farming activities, allowing them to contribute to their communities and experience fullness of life.
