Pace pre-hire event for job seekers
Wednesday, June 14
6 p.m. • JJC Main Campus
• Bring a valid Illinois driver’s license and a DMV or Secretary of State Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) (also called Driving Record Abstracts in Illinois) showing a good driving record in the last five years. The MVR costs $12 and is the only fee a candidate will need to pay for to qualify for the program.
• Attendees will complete the screening process during this event.
• Assessment results will be available up to four days after the event.
• Once requirements are met, qualified candidates will begin the two-week training course on July 10 at JJC, followed by a six-week on-the-job training program with Pace.

NURSING & TEACHING SCHOLARSHIPS
Are you interested in or already taking classes at JJC to become a nurse or teacher? You may be eligible for a Will County Heroes Nursing and Teaching Scholarship, part of Will County’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding. This program aims to address the shortages of trained professionals in critical fields that were most impacted by the pandemic.
Students who qualify may receive up to $5,000 per academic year in college tuition. To qualify, students must complete the FAFSA or RISE Act, submit an application on the JJC Will County Heroes scholarship page (see QR code or web link below), and meet one or more of the following financial criteria:
1. Low or moderate income households (income at or below 300 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines for the size of the household)
2. Households that experienced unemployment, and/or;
3. Households that qualify for Medicaid, PELL, SNAP, or WIC
