Welcome to another jam-packed season brochure which will take you from autumn to winter with a whole host of tantalising shows!
If you are passionate about comedy then you are in for some treats this season as we have lots of the top names on the circuit joining us, Shaparak Khorsandi, Lloyd Griffth, Alfie Brown, Kiri Pritchard-Mclean, Omid Djalili, Gary Delaney, to name but a few will all be gracing the Huntingdon Hall stage!
We also have some fantastic opportunities to get up close and personal with some incredible original artists at the Hall from Huey Morgan, Shaun Rider, Martin Fry and Aled Jones, all joining us to share their personal stories, unlocking the secrets of their musical careers with you.
The Swan Theatre has some equally wonderful events from live broadcasts, musical theatre shows, children’s theatre, dance, classical music and a range of musical acts for everyone’s taste. We are also joined once again by our brilliant local community amateur theatre groups WODS, WMTC and STAC.
And it doesn’t stop there, we are delighted to be producing four Worcester Repertory productions from the Swan Theatre this season, from new writing to our infamous family friendly pantomime. Kicking off in September we have The Female Warrior by John Philpott, a new piece of writing which tells the intriguing story of Worcester solider Hannah Snell. In October we will once again merge the talents of our professional Repertory Company, Young Rep performers and People’s Rep to produce the well-known Animal Farm, by George Orwell!

If you had complete power, what kind of leader would you be?
After living under Mr. Jones’ cruel leadership, the underfed and overworked animals of Manor Farm lead a rebellion!
As they celebrate their newfound freedom, the animals begin to build a place where equality and justice reign supreme; a place named ‘Animal Farm’.
However, when pigs Napoleon and Snowball see an opportunity to take control of the newly liberated animals, the balance of power slowly begins to shift, distorting the ideals they once believed in.
“ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL, BUT SOME ANIMALS ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS”
Orwell’s critical satire feels particularly poignant today, and his message of those in power manipulating democratic idealism hits home in this chilling adaptation, directed by Owen Harper (The Three Musketeers 2024).
Made in collaboration between the Worcester REP, our Young Rep and the People’s Rep, we are compelled to bring this hard-hitting retelling of a timeless classic to audiences this October. Suitable for 12 years and over.
