Why is helping Black Couples find healthy love and relationships so important to you?

What gives me my passion to help women? My mother was married 5 times My grandmother married multiple times as well. I know firsthand that I had to be intentional in my journey to love or because of what I saw growing up, I would end up just like my mom and grandmother. My mom was great in business but not in love. She thought she could do love by herself and never got help in really understanding cultivating healthy love, she always ended up VICTIM TO LOVE.

I love her so much because before she died at 56, going through her 5th divorce, she shared with me that she wanted more than anything to show me and my sister better choices in love. She just couldn’t get it right though, but she showed me how I needed to really become intentional in breaking the cycle of hurt, fear, and disappointment in my family in the area of love and relationships. I broke the cycle. That was 15 years ago when she died.

Now, for the last 7 years, I have been helping other women break the cycle too. Helping empower women in their personal development in the area of love, dating, and relationships is what I believe God put me on earth to do. Now, as my mother, looks down on me from heaven... I know she is proud of me because now I have not only changed the cycle in my family but also hundreds of women across the world do the same.

Anyone can get married, but can you attract a love that is healthy? That is my mission for women. Helping them embody the methodologies for attraction that I believe are key to creating, cultivating, and keeping healthy romantic love.

Who gave you the Best Advice EVER (Personal or Business)? What was that advice and how do you apply it now?

The best advice ever given to me was actually not in the form of advice but just knowledge about the heart pumping blood to itself first. So many Black women are taught that we give the best of ourselves away in the name of love. Knowing now that God made the heart to pump blood to itself first, gives me the truth of how important me taking care of myself is.

How does your business equip and elevate Women to Soar!?

I have never met a woman who wanted to be successful in business and NOT have someone romantic with her along that journey whom they could trust I have met women who did not want to get married, but not a woman who desired to spend her life alone. My business equips women and helps them elevate in the area of creating, cultivating, and keeping healthy romantic love.

We All Need to GET AWAY and take a break from all of life's demands. Do you have a special Self-Care routine or a Favorite Go-To Vacation spot? If so- where and why?

My go-to self-care is meditation. I do meditation in the mornings, daily for 1 hour. Meditation is the time I get to spend with my thoughts and in connection with my God center as free as possible of the noise of my conscious and subconscious mind. I connect to my breath and oneness with God. Meditation saved my life. Because of this deep meditation, I believe my life is a lot richer than without it.

Who gave you the Best Advice EVER (Personal or Business)? What was that advice and how do you apply it now?

My Grandmother always said, ‘Reach for the stars but keep God in the center of everything you do’. Thanks to her, I don’t dwell too long on obstacles and delay so I try to keep the positive energy in the room.

How does your business equip and elevate Women to Soar!?

We motivate women to develop leadership skills through community outreach, mentorship programs, & workforce development initiatives. We offer workshops, resources, and outreaches that focus on building confidence, and self-advocacy skills. We help women develop a strong sense of self-belief and empower them to take on challenges and pursue leadership roles.

I am passionate about traveling, and every vacation is a new adventure for me. While some of my family and friends believe the Bahamas is my favorite travel spot, I particularly love Dubai, but then there is Paris too. I take traveling as a deep appreciation for my self-care, which is why I make sure to have access to the spa even through the adventures of my vacations.

What's the Next BIG Thing for You?

I am thrilled to share a momentous milestone in my journey, which is the upcoming launch of my book, ‘Secrets, Sins, and Stilettos’ in September 2023! This book represents the culmination of countless hours of dedication creativity and a burning passion for storytelling.

Oma often says, "Nobody owes you anything". This invaluable lesson has shaped my approach to life and career. It's a reminder that my path is mine alone to forge, that I am the architect of my successes and the learner in my failures. It instills a sense of resilience and determination in me, encouraging me to never back down from chasing my dreams, no matter the obstacles and setbacks.

By learning to move confidently and sensually, they tap into their femininity, cultivate self-love, and boost their selfesteem.

Self-care is a non-negotiable for me, and I have a few rituals that I rely on to keep me grounded and rejuvenated. I love taking Epsom salt baths – there's something so therapeutic about them. I also find solace nature; it's a place where I can recharge and reconnect with myself. As for vacation spots, I am more about the experience than the location. Anywhere that allows me to unplug, unwind, and be one with nature is my ideal getaway.

My Papa Van has always said to believe in myself and never give up. Just do it afraid, which means you step out on faith and let that lead the way because when you do eventually each NO will lead to just that ONE YES, the doors will open in time as long as you keep going.

My business equips and elevates women to soar by reminding them that they are worth it. I remind them that nothing is impossible with God and encourage them to keep motivated even if they get a lot of NO's before that one yes!! I remind them that they are loved by God and that they can become everything He created them to be!

I love to pamper myself by getting massages and pedicures. I have not yet traveled outside of the country but it’s on my bucket and todo list. My first stop will be to visit the islands of the Bahamas, and Jamaica so that I can step into the clear waters of their beautiful beaches and learn about their culture.

Is it possible for Today's Boss Queen to have a successful Business/Work/ Life Balance? If so, what tangible strategies have you found to work best for you, your business, and your home life?

I am a firm believer in work/life balance and believe this is not only possible for all Boss Queens, but necessary to achieve ultimate success. I recommend two key strategies: (1) Make your self-care a daily priority before diving into work. I typically start my day with meditation and then exercise. This helps me get centered and in a great mental space before starting my work day and (2) Plan out your day so you aren't being reactive to daily interruptions or unplanned tasks. I use a time-blocking system to stay on track and highly recommend this strategy.

Who gave you the Best Advice EVER (Personal or Business)? What was that advice and how do you apply it now?

My grandmother worked tirelessly until she retired and she was looking forward to the retired life. Unfortunately, she became ill soon after and never got to travel or do any of the things she put off. She once said to me: "Life is not a dress rehearsal, this is the season finale so never put your dreams and happiness on hold, always live life to the fullest."

How does your business equip and elevate Women to Soar!?

I support women entrepreneurs in living lucrative lifestyle businesses by monetizing their intellect and God-given talent in a way that allows them to have freedom and flexibility while doing what they are good at and love.

My daily self-care routine begins with meditation and exercise. I love morning strolls along the beach, my happy place. The tranquil ocean waters always put me in a great mental space. When I'm not strolling my nearby beach I am jet-setting the world visiting as many destinations as I can, living life on my terms just as my grandmother encouraged me to do. My two top international destinations are Bali and Dubai but I also love to explore different parts of the world, especially the parts that have beautiful beaches.

What's the Next BIG Thing for You?

I launched my latest book: "Intellect to Income"- the Ultimate Profit Playbook in London this month and became a 5 times international best-selling author. I am now preparing for my upcoming book tour: "The Boss Up Tour" which is scheduled to begin next month.
