On Sunday, March 7, five workshops led by talented local artists and makers will be zoomed live from Albury’s LibraryMuseum. These free 60 and 90-minute workshops allow participants to work alongside teaching artists from the comfort of home. Requirements: Zoom-capable home internet connection and lots of enthusiasm!
Crafting an Illuminated Letter
Henna Hands
Create an illuminated letter as seen in ancient manuscripts. Using common drawing materials, you will be guided through simple overlaying techniques. Then, with your workshop kit, you will be taken a couple of steps further.
Henna (Mehendi) is a form of temporary body art and skin decoration which originated in India. Hear cultural stories and learn the craft of decorating your hands beautifully with plant-based henna paste.
MARTA LETT is an award-winning artist and designer. She is an Australian woman of Celtic heritage, who draws inspiration from the women in her family and the natural world.
