Albury + Wodonga Artworks under way

Mural artwork by Kade Sarte Substation between 312 and 317 Wagga Rd Lavington

Bird Box Beginnings The title of this mural came from an idea when the artist first visited the location and was inspired by the local birdlife jumping and flying around in the greenery of the area. Although on a busy main street, the back of the building and around the sides there is very little foot traffic and the wildlife is living happily. The building is shaped like a box so the name was derived from that - the ideas went hand in hand.

THE ARTIST Kade is a Lavington lad who has spent most of his life in the area and specialises in large-scale murals with brush and spray can. Although he has been painting on and off for 12 years, his interest developed seriously in 2017 when he moved back to Albury from Queensland. Work began to grow around town and eventually this progressed into travelling around the broader region. Now Kade spends his time working for himself, creating art throughout the area; whether it be a large commissions or murals on children’s bedroom walls, he paints it all.
