RAISING THE CURTAIN. RAISING THE BAR.

Yo- Yo Ma, Bill T. Jones, Don McLean & Judy Collins, Chris Thile & Edgar Meyer, Zap Mama…you would be hard-pressed to find a stronger mix of greats. This season we reopen the Wisconsin Union Theater after two years of renovations. We also celebrate 75 years of amazing and illustrious history. In honor of these momentous markers, we raise the curtain, and raise the bar! Treasured by generations of students, faculty, staff and community members, the Wisconsin Union Theater is one of the most beloved and historic destinations on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus. The recent completion of the renovation has greatly improved its spaces while carefully preserving their historical significance. The completely renovated Wisconsin Union Theater now consists of three performance spaces: Shannon Hall (formerly the Union Theater), Fredric March Play Circle and the Festival Room. We are certain that you’ll appreciate the care we’ve taken to preserve such a historic venue while turning it into an even better space for arts and entertainment!
