Wilderness Times | Autumn 2021
INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY BREAKFAST International Women’s Day (IWD) is a significant day to celebrate our achievements whilst also acknowledging the struggles women worldwide continue to face to this day. This year, the United Nations theme for IWD was Choose to Challenge, in that a challenged world is an alert world and change arises from challenge. On Friday 5 March, the SRC Executive were lucky enough to host the 2021 International Women’s Day Breakfast. In previous years, the SRC attended this event at the Convention Centre. However, due to COVID-19 restrictions this year, the guest speakers presented online. To uphold the tradition, Wilderness School decided to host this special occasion on our campus. This was an incredible and unique opportunity for us to speak to two hundred other young, inspiring leaders from the Alliance of Girls’ Schools in South Australia.
