1985

Richard Roberts III ’85, ’89, ’00 is the executive director of Young Men and Women in Charge, a West Chester, Pennsylvania nonprofit that seeks to empower and prepare economically disadvantaged and historically underrepresented youth so they can pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, math, art, music, and entrepreneurship.

1989

Beyond Plastics, a nationwide nonprofit fighting plastic pollution, has announced that Susan Keefe ’86 joined the organization as its first-ever Southern California director. Keefe is a leader in the California Green Business Network and founded her own consulting company, Eco Forward.

1992

The Consulting Report has announced Tiffany Brown ’92 has been named to the Top 25 Consumer and Retail Consultants and Leaders of 2025 list. Brown is a managing director with Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Performance Improvement practice in Atlanta,

Fox Chase Cancer Center has announced the hiring of Caryn Karff ’92,'96 as the new administrative director of radiology for Temple University Hospital.

1994

The Pennsylvania Association of School Administrators announced Tina Kane, Ed.D. ’94, ’98, ’04, superintendent of the Marple Newtown School District, as the 2025 Pennsylvania superintendent of the year.

1996

Tim Newby ’96 published “The Original Louisville Slugger: The Life and Times of Forgotten Baseball Legend Pete Browning,” which was named a finalist for the CASEY Award, an annual literary honor given to the book that has had the greatest impact on baseball literature.

1997

Michael Brady ’97 ’00 has received the Excellence in Business Award from the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce, which honors exceptional business leaders who play a pivotal role in driving business growth in Delaware County.

RTI Surgical, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company in regenerative medicine, announced the appointment of Chad Croasdale ’97 as chief commercial officer.

Danielle Dougherty, Ph.D. ’97 joined Cantor Colburn, a leading intellectual property law firm, as a patent agent, where she will assist clients in important patent prosecution matters and intellectual property management.

1998

Nat'e Guyton ’98, ’02 was appointed president of Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho.

Joanne McFall ’98, market president at Keystone First, Pennsylvania's largest Medicaid managed organization, was a recipient of City & State Pennsylvania's 2024 Impact Award.

Mary Sortino, PsyD ’98 has been named dean of graduate studies and professional education at Fairmont State University in West Virginia.

2001

ADM, a global leader in human and animal nutrition, announced the appointment of Carrie Nichol ’01 as vice president and chief accounting officer.

2005

Primus Partners, a leading management consulting services provider, announced the appointment of Vinay Singh ’05 as a managing director.

2007

Widener Men's track and field graduate Macharia Yuot ’07 was inducted into the U.S. Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association Division III Hall of Fame class of 2025. Yuot won at the 2006 NCAA DIII Outdoor Track & Field Championships where he became the first – and still only – male athlete in NCAA history to win national titles in the 5000 meters, 10,000 meters and steeplechase.

2008

Nicole Gutekunst Ross ’08 has joined the Green Bay Packers as a paralegal in their legal department. Ross came to the position after serving seven years as a senior paralegal for the National Football League.

Patrick Rogers ’08 has been named tax principal and research and development director at accounting firm Brown Plus, where he will lead the firm’s tax credit practice with a focus on expanding its services

2009

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia has recognized AnneMarie Monachino, DNP ’09 for exceptional contributions to nursing education and simulation training. She is a lead nursing professional development specialist at the hospital.

2010

NERDiT NOW CEO Markevis Gideon ’10 has been named to the Delaware Business Times' Delaware 222 List of the state's most impactful business, civic, and nonprofit leaders.

Joe Tacchino ’10 has been promoted to partner at Elevation Land Solutions, a land development firm.

2014

The Wissahickon School District announced the appointment of Sean Gardiner, D.Ed. ’14 as the district’s new assistant superintendent.

Michael Howanski ’14 created an 8-foottall duct tape Lombardi Trophy following the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl LIX victory. Howanski and his co-creator received recognition from the team and local media.

2016

Ashwina Mosakowski, EdD ’16 has been selected as the new director of elementary education for the Upper Darby School District.

2019

Kayla Nelson ’19 was one of 10 civil engineers globally to be named to the 2025 New Faces of Civil Engineering by the American Society of Civil Engineers. Nelson is a civil engineering analyst for Kimley-Horn in Dacula, Georgia.

1986

Richard A. DiLiberto, Jr. ‘86 a litigation partner at Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor LLP in Wilmington, Delaware, has been selected to receive the American Bar Association Tort Trial & Insurance Practice's (TIPS) Edmund S. Muskie Pro Bono Service Award. Named after former U.S. Sen. Edmund Muskie, who was secretary of state under President Jimmy Carter, the award recognizes leadership, dedication to justice for all citizens, and public service.

1987

Loreto (Larry) P. Rufo ’87 joined Rawle & Henderson as a partner and will manage the firm’s Wilmington office.

Laura B. Gallagher ’96 has joined Saxton & Stump as senior counsel. She also serves on the Lancaster Society of Human Resource Management, Associated Builders and Contractors, and the Lancaster Bar Association.

2008

Lakresha Roberts Moultrie ’08 was recently sworn in as the new secretary of labor for the state of Delaware. Moultrie previously served as chief deputy attorney general at the Delaware Department of Justice.

Ryan R. McBride ’09 a partner at Weber Gallagher LLP in Scranton, Pennsylvania, has accepted an invitation to join the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), the preeminent global legal organization for attorneys who represent corporate and insurance interests.

2012

Gillian Andrews ’12 an associate attorney at Heyman Enerio Gattuso & Hirzel LLP, has been named as a 2024 Top Lawyer by Delaware Today Prema Roddam ’12 a senior associate at Fragomen, has been honored as a "2025 Leader in Law" by NJBIZ and is also featured on the "ROI Influencers: Power List 2025" in the law category.

2014

Andrew Patrick ’14 joined Rawle & Henderson’s Philadelphia office as an associate.

2015

Megan McGovern ’15 was elected as a director at Bayard P.A., a law firm based in Wilmington, Delaware.

1994

Josh Shapiro has appointed Michelle Henry ’94 as Pennsylvania’s new state inspector general. Henry previously served as Pennsylvania attorney general and Bucks County district attorney.

After 22 years at Microsoft where he served as chief legal counsel, Hemant Pathak ’94 has joined CoreWeave as deputy general counsel. Pathak has also been appointed to the Board of Directors at Dantam Inc.

1998

James D. Welty ’98 has been named the next president of the Marcellus Shale Coalition, Pennsylvania’s top natural gas advocacy organization.

2000

Wayne Langerholc ’00 has been sworn in for his third term as state senator, representing Pennsylvania’s 35th Senatorial District. He will also serve as majority whip for the 2025-2026 session.

2006

Keli M. Neary ’06 has been appointed to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

2007

Dave Sunday ’07 was sworn in as Pennsylvania’s attorney general in January 2025. Sunday previously served as York County district attorney.

Kristi Thomas ’07 was promoted to partner at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP in Orange County, California. She is a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment practice group.

2010

James F. Coleman ’10 has joined Goldberg Segalla’s Toxic Tort and Environmental Law practice in Philadelphia.

Alina Habba ’10 has been sworn in as acting U.S. attorney for the state of New Jersey. Habba is also serving as a senior adviser to the president.

Fawn Kehler ’10 will serve as the 2025 president of the Dauphin County Bar Association in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

2014

John Dixon ’14 has been promoted to counsel at Saul Ewing LLP, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

2015

Kasey Bolton ’15 has joined Tucker Arensberg, P.C. as a shareholder in the firm’s Harrisburg office.

2020

Beth Kern ’20 has been unanimously elected as a shareholder at CGA Law Firm in Pennsylvania.

Franqui-Ann Raffaele ’20 has been named chair of the Montgomery Bar Association Young Lawyers Section.

2022

Thomas Kutz ’22 has been elected to serve the 87th Pennsylvania State House District. Kutz also co-chairs the Bipartisan Future Caucus.

2024

Erika Firestone ’24 has joined McNees Wallace & Nurick as an associate in the Harrisburg office.

Emily LaGreca ’24 has joined Thomas, Thomas & Hafer’s Philadelphia office as part of the firm’s workers’ compensation practice group.

Gabrielle E. Martin ’24 joined Thomas, Thomas & Hafer’s Allentown office as an associate and concentrates in the areas of general liability and workers’ compensation.

Elizabeth Reed ’24 joined Gibbel Kraybill & Hess LLP as an associate attorney, practicing in business law, employment law, and general litigation.

FREDERICK W. DOHRMANN

Fred Dohrmann was a member of the Widener Pride from 1980 until his retirement in 2022. He served as director of physical education, as head coach of men’s soccer and, most recently, as head softball coach. Dohrmann was the winningest head coach in Widener softball history. He was dedicated to coaching his students to excel in the classroom and several of his teams earned collective GPAs that ranked them amongst the highest of all reporting Division III schools.

In 2022, he was honored with the William David Eckard Jr. Award for Distinguished Service. In April 2024 Widener Athletics dedicated the Fred Dohrmann Field at Dougherty-Gillespie Park in recognition of his many years of coaching, mentoring, and success.

MARTIN E. GOLDSTEIN

Martin E. Goldstein served as a professor of political science and international relations at Widener for 50 years before his retirement from the university in 2018. In his decades of distinguished service, Goldstein served as chair of political science, associate dean of the social science division, and on a long list of committees at all levels of the university. He was awarded government fellowships twice during his years of teaching. from 1976 to 1977 and again from 1991 to 1992, he advised the U.S. Defense Department and U.S. State Department on arms control issues and served on diplomatic missions. He was a highly regarded teacher and scholar across the university.

JAMES M. MACK III

James J. Mack III ’85 served as a member of the Widener University Board of Trustees for over 20 years in a number of roles including vice chair of the board, chair of the presidential search committee and chair of the audit, compliance, and risk assessment committee.

Following his graduation from Widener in 1985, Mack went on to have a successful business career, rising to partner at EisnerAmper, one of the country’s largest certified public accounting and business advisory firms. In addition to his generous commitment of time to the university, he and his wife created the James J. Mack, III and Debra J. Kurucz Swim Program Endowed Fund, which supports Widener’s NCAA Division III swim teams.

JULIET M. MORINGIELLO

Professor Juliet M. Moringiello was a respected legal scholar and influential leader in law reform, particularly in commercial law and emerging technologies. She served as associate dean for academic affairs, and played a significant role in shaping legal policies at both the state and national levels through membership in professional organizations and seats on state and national committees.

Moringiello was an accomplished academic, publishing extensively on issues such as online contracts, digital assets and bankruptcy law. In 2014, 2021, and posthumously this spring, the graduating classes honored her with the Outstanding Faculty Award for excellence in teaching. She also received the Douglas E. Ray Excellence in Faculty Scholarship Award four times from the law school and the Association of American Law Schools Section on Commercial and Consumer Law gave her its 2025 mentoring award, recognizing exceptional commitment to her students.
