09.15: Welcome fro m Whitgift School. Coaches meeting for the day plan, rules and procedures.
09.30–10.35: Training Sessions

Age Group: U11 – Mixed Ability Teams as per Surrey Rugby and RFU Regulations
The format for the competition will be as follows:
> Each team will begin the day with a 30-minute training session led by Whitgift members of staff.
> All teams will play four games in total – 4 games vs teams in their pool.

U11 s CLUB RUGBY FESTIVAL
The format for the competition will be as follows:
Competition Rules
> Maximum squad size: 15
> 9-a-side; introduction of the contested strike; nearest 3 players in a scrum; contest for the ball at the breakdown (2 players v 2 players); introduction of tactical kicking and kicking restarts –conceding team can choose whether to receive the kick or kick off themselves and kick off must pass 7 metres; no penalties – freekick only with opponents back 7 metres; no fend / hand off = freekick; if during the tackle the ball is ripped from the ball carrier, the player must then pass the ball immediately away from the contact area; no fly hack. > Whitgift School will run a training session that will last 30 minutes. Please do let us know if you have any specific areas you would like us to coach during this session.
> All matches will be 15 minutes with no half time .
> Referee Provision: Whitgift School will referee the games to allow club coaches to work with their teams.
> Unlimited rolling substitutions are allowed. Clubs are obliged to give all their players’ equal game time, adhere to the ‘Half Game’ rule (as close as possible with no half time) and focus on player development and enjoyment.
> First Aid: Physio support will be available on site by Whitgift School and all Whitgift staff are First Aid trained to manage minor injuries. For more serious injuries, an ambulance will need to be called and, at this stage, clubs and parents are to take responsibility for care of their players.
> There is no knock-out stage to this competition.
