The Directors and Senior Management of Your Golfer Magazine are delighted to introduce their ‘North East of England Golf Club of the Year for 2018’ as Bamburgh Castle Golf Club overlooking the beautiful Farne Islands.

The award recognises the outstanding golf course and facilities at the golf club as well as the excellent hospitality that is provided for visiting groups and societies. The golf club were selected from a number of clubs based in the North East of England that advertised with the Your Golfer eMagazine. It was a tough choice but the Directors believe that they chose the best!

Short and tricky, the though-provoking golf beings with two par 3s with a total of six par 3s in all. The superbly appointed golf course concludes with three great finishing holes which provide birdie opportunities for all whilst it’s easy to get into trouble too!

Recently extended, the original Bamburgh Castle clubhouse was built in 1904 and retains most of its traditional charm and characteristics. The clubhouse building is the home of spacious, comfortable lounge areas as well as a superblyappointed, dining room which can seat up to 60 people. Overlooking the putting green and across towards to Farne Islands, the dining room is the ideal venue for all manner of social occasions.

Member and visitors alike can take advantage of the club’s well-stocked bar and excellent dining options provided by the club’s catering team serving a variety of daily menus for breakfast, lunch, dinner and meals for visiting groups.

The club offers a wide variety of golf day packages and arrangements for larger groups or societies with a dedicated professional team on hand to provide assistance on the day ensuring that the event runs as smoothly as possible.
