This is Nathalie here. This my last message as your Executive Director. I would like to thank you all of you who believed in me and my work at the centre including my “partners in crime”; Dee, Mary and Martin. This was an exciting adventures. Lot of work has been done, new things happened and many new members and followers and more is coming for you in the next year.
I am pleased to announce you that we have been approved for the New Horizons Program for Seniors, This new funding is providing the financial support for activities, dinners, trainings and more for the Tagish Senior community. Also, we just got signed a three (3) years agreements with Yukon Lotteries. This funding is assuring the pursuit of the yoga class, more arts workshops including more stained glass, country line dancing class and more.
I would like to say the last year has been the best since I started working here in 2016. Working with Nathalie has been a pleasure! Her positive attitude and enthusiasm were infectious and we have had a lot of laughs and so much fun! Not to mention the huge improvements she made right from the get-go, the biggest for me was getting the windows in the hall (FINALLY!) which totally changed the atmosphere. She also made the Poker Run and End of Winter Celebration outdoor events so that everyone was welcome to attend while the Covid restrictions were still in place.
I will miss working with her! But it is time for me to retire !
It has been a pleasure working at the Community Centre even if the road was rocky at times. I have gotten to know so many awesome people and made some wonderful new friends on the journey that I will always treasure! I would like to thank all the Rec/Exec. Directors, Board members and most of all the Volunteers and Participants who supported me and made my job so much fun! Special Thank You to Judy Dabbs for always being my ‘Rock Woman’ for all these years and also Paul Dabbs (Rock Woman’s husband) for always being there!
Stay happy and keep on smiling!
