Atlin Poppy Project We have started knitting & crocheting Poppies for our November 11th, Remembrance Day Poppy display. We hope you will join our project team to bring this vision into a reality. Please find a couple of basic patterns that will help you get started. There are more advanced patterns online, if you like a challenge. Just get yourself some red yarn and either black wool or black buttons for the poppy center.

ATLIN GOLD CHEF On September 21, the Rec Centre celebrated the first ATLIN GOLD CHEF competition to raise funds for a new kitchen.

The community of Atlin was (again) very generous and bought 125 dinner-tickets, bit on numerous wonderful prices (donated by Atlinites), and judged five incredibly talented chefs cooking up a storm in front of a raving audience. $12.000 were raised and the first Atlin Gold Chef (Nikolas Borell from Muenster, Germany) was crowned with a brand new chef's hat.

Thanks to the organizing team, the generous donations, the volunteers, the wonderful audience and the Gold Chef competitors for such a memorable evening.
