To realize the goal of Garden City to revitalize its city center, two buildings will be built to meet the demand for commerce and living. Outside Hatch Design Architecture’s headquarters once stood a blank CMU wall. In an effort to revitalize the community, HDA wanted a mural that spoke to the history and culture of the greater Boise/Garden City area. Shown above and to the aside is that idea realized. Left to right highlights the city’s evolution from an agriculture area to an outdoor recreation powerhouse.

PROPOSAL:
To change how a storage facility is primarily used, the clients reached out to discuss designing a clubhouse building so members could rent the space for events. The original inspiration and design language took from classic car manufacturers like Ferrari, Aston Martin, and Mercedes. The building went through several design iterations before finally landing on its final form that uses stone, metal panels, and LED signage to create a dramatic effect.
