Non-Smoking Venue
Security and behaviour
• Impact on non-smoking customer
• The venue has fully compliant fire detection and suppression systems which include an emergency, warning and intercommunication system or EWIS.
• In the event of an emergency all persons within the venues will be instructed to evacuate to the designated evacuation point
• West HQ can provide induction to visitors on the following procedures:
o Emergency evacuation
o First Aid
• Hirer to ensure all attendees are issued with emergency contact numbers and familiar with West HQ emergency evacuation plan
• West HQ have qualified first aid officers and wardens on shift at all times.
• West HQ has a first aid room, however, First Aid kits, visitor medication and medical management plans are the responsibility of the individual patrons.
• West HQ is a non-smoking venue. Smoking within the venue or where food is being consumed is not permitted. Smoking areas outside of the venue are provided; persons wishing to smoke should make themselves aware of these areas and obey all signage.
• Smoking of tobacco or any other product intended to be smoked, including ecigarettes, is not permitted within four (4) metres of any entrance door.
• No food is to be consumed in any designated smoking area

• West HQ staff will be available to assist with negotiating the entrance and accessing the halls

Gymnastics Activities
• Injuries
• All hirers are advised to ensure that strict management and supervision of their children is maintained at all times.
• Behaviour, noise, dress standards, language, respect and cleanliness should be maintained to the Venue Code Terms of Entry requirements by all attendees.
• When Gymnastics coaches are provided by the venue, participants will be taken through warm up exercises prior to commencing Gymnastics sessions. Participants must follow coaches’ instructions regarding participation in activities and safe use of equipment

All hired equipment has current test and tag (within 3 months of inspection date).
• Electrical equipment should not be exposed to water before, during or after a performance
Hanging Objects • Fall, collapse, flammable materials Overhead structures such as signs, banners, theming and other stand elements must not be flammable or able to collapse on persons below, must be stable and rigged by a qualified rigger.
West HQ has an Emergency Management Plan (EMP) and an Emergency Control Organisation consisting of a Chief Warden, Area Wardens and Wardens. In the event of an emergency the West HQ Wardens will assist in attendees as directed by the Chief Warden. In the event of an evacuation, the wardens will direct attendees to one of the three emergency assembly areas as shown in the site plan below
