Terms and Conditions

Promotion SGAC 100km Swim Challenge

How to enter/play

This challenge will run every day during the period stated above.

/ Any customer who wishes to use the pool at SGAC must register for the promotion by visiting SGAC Customer Service. Please note there is no registration fee for existing aquatic members.

Non-members will have pay $28 to receive an aquatic membership.

Please note there is a $20 registration fee for staff.

1. If an eligible entrant wishes to join SGAC 100km Swim Challenge they must register at SGAC reception.

2. SGAC 100km rules will be explained to the Entrant before starting the challenge which includes:

- Flippers cannot be used to complete SGAC swim challenge.

- Laps must be performed by swimming action only. Walking is not permitted.

- Any active members who cancel their membership during the promotion period will forfeit their progress.

- The challenge must be completed by entrant themselves only and cannot be transferred to another entrant.

- SGAC will have qualified and experienced lifeguards onsite to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants.

3. Prizes will be won in this order:

- 25km (1000 laps) - SGAC Swim Cap

- 50km (2000 laps) - SGAC Drink Bottle

- 75km (3000 laps) - SGAC Backpack

- 100km (4000 laps) - SGAC T-shirt

4. Once an entrant completes a stage of the challenge, they will receive a prize.

5. Winners of each stage will receive confirmation of their prize during the week after which they have completed the stage. The winner will then have to visit SGAC to collect their prize.

- If selected prizes have run out, SGAC reserves the right to substitute the prize with a suitable alternative of equal value.

6. Entrant must complete SGAC swim challenge during the promotional period stated above to be eligible.

Entrant will win a prize according to the Swimming kilometre/Lap reached: ONE (1) prize for issue stage.

25km (1000 laps) – SGAC Swim Cap

50km (2000 laps) – SGAC Drink Bottle

75km (3000 laps) – SGAC Backpack

100km (4000 laps) – SGAC T-shirt

Maximum amount of $5k

Individual max spend - $150

1. All decisions of West HQ (and its representatives) are final.

2. SGAC staff to set up, run, and administer the ‘SGAC 100km Swim Challenge’ ‘promotion.

3. Prizes cannot be transferred, substituted, or exchanged to another person or for any other object, cash amount or value, unless authorized by the Promoter.

4. SGAC accepts no responsibility for any additional costs associated with winning any prizes, other than stated in these Terms and Conditions.

5. SGAC reserves the right to:

a) Verify the validity of entries (including but not limited to, the Eligible Member’s identity and age). In the event that a Winner cannot provide suitable proof of identification at the time of the draw, the Winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered; and

b) Reject any entry that is illegible, has been tampered with or is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions; and

c) Disqualify any entrant that has not acted in good faith and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

d) Entry into the competition is deemed to be acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

6. A record of all participants and winners will be kept.

7. To the extent of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any other material relating to this competition, these Terms and Conditions will prevail.

8. Entry is only open to Australian residents 18 years and over.

9. The Promoter reserves the right and licence to use a selected entrant’s name, suburb, photograph, image, and likeness for the purpose of promoting and advertising West HQ.

10.Subject to law, the Promoter (including its employees,

agents and contractors) has no liability to any person for injury (including death), loss or damage whatsoever howsoever arising in connection with this competition (including the awarding, condition, use or misuse of the prizes). This clause does not apply to the extent that West HQ liability (if any) arises from an act or omission of West HQ in respect of its supply of services and/or goods to the prize winner in the ordinary course of West HQ’s business.

11.If for any reason this competition is unable to run as stated above due to technical/printing errors etc., the Promoter reserve the right to alter the terms and conditions to run this the fairest way possible with the least disruption.

12.If a prize becomes unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with a suitable alternative of equal value.

13.The Promoter’s decision in connection with any aspect of this Competition will be binding and final on every entrant.

14.The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or alter this Competition at any time (such as in the case of unforeseen circumstances outside the Promoter’s reasonable control), subject to compliance with any Fair-Trading guidelines.

15.Any failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions may result in immediate disqualification of any entrant.

16.Disqualification will be at the Promoter’s sole discretion and no correspondence will be entered into.

17.All decisions are final and are at the discretion of West HQ Management.
