Nellysha Sanabria-Lopez

Junior, General Business Springfield, MA Sophomore Experience Abroad

“The best part about studying in London is the opportunity to see how business is conducted in a totally different environment. I visited the financial district in London and just being able to experience it firsthand rather than through a textbook in a classroom was amazing. It’s a big eye opener. One valuable lesson I learned was that having a career in the business field today requires you to be aware of the business being conducted in all other countries because no matter where you are located, it will most likely impact you.”

Entrepreneurship majors learn the skills of organizational leadership, team-building, risk tolerance, creativity, and self-reliance. In this cross-disciplinary major, students learn by doing. Professors from across all of the majors in the College of Business teach the core courses. During your senior year, you will work on a multidisciplinary team in the Product Development and Innovation course with engineering students to create a new product, through a simulated work environment. Our teams have competed at the annual American Society of Mechanical Engineers Innovation Showcase (IShow) and placed in the top 10 four times. To date students have been awarded more than $33,000 from the Grinspoon Spirit Awards for their entrepreneurial ideas.
