Western New England Experience Golden Bear Life

WNE has over 70 clubs and organizations, with plenty of room to grow! You’ll have the freedom to continue activities you already love or try something new. And if we don’t already have your club, you can start it.
If you’re into performing, our Improv on the Rocks comedy troupe or Stageless Players theatre group will be the perfect fit. If you see yourself as a student leader, becoming a Peer Advisor or Resident Advisor or joining Student Senate may be more your speed. We also have clubs focused on diversity and inclusion, gaming, community engagement, media, honor societies, and much more. You’re bound to find something to get involved with!
Clubs and organizations are a huge part of campus life here, so don’t be afraid to jump in and check out all of the choices WNE has to offer.
The college journey isn’t meant to be taken alone. In fact, the student experience is best enjoyed together! From the moment you arrive on campus, your Golden Bear family will be beside you, cheering you on and supporting you the whole way. So feel free to explore what we have to offer without worry. We’ve got you.
At Western New England University, you’ll find a robust support team eager to help you succeed. Our student-centered focus means that we offer a variety of academic support services, including free academic tutoring with the Writing and Math Centers, workshops and mentorship with the Student Success Center, résumé and career development events with the Delbridge Career Center, and more. Your college journey will kick off with the First Year Program, and we’ll be with you every step of the way — even beyond graduation.
Nothing makes a résumé shine like hands-on experience. Before you graduate, you’ll take advantage of our network of over 1,000 businesses and organizations to secure an internship or broaden your skillset with our experiential learning opportunities. From Senior Engineering Design Projects to student teaching in the classroom, you’ll find the perfect real-world setting to test-drive your future career.
A study conducted by Georgetown University ranked WNE among the top 6% of colleges and universities for ROI — #1 in Springfield and #3 in the Pioneer Valley behind Williams and Amherst Colleges.
When you polish your résumé and interviewing skills, attend our on-campus career fairs, and network with our alumni connections, you’ll be work-ready and world-ready by the time you graduate.

BuyMusic, games, comedy, movies, hiking — whatever you’re into, Western New England University has it going on. Our student-run clubs and Campus Activities Board pack the calendar with plenty of programming and events to help you unwind and meet new friends. Take the stage to share your poetry, enjoy live theatre with the Stageless Players, hop on a bus headed to NYC for a Saturday, test your culinary skills at the President’s Chili Cook-off Challenge, or burn off some steam on an intramural team. Our Golden Hours Program series ensures that something fun is happening every Friday and Saturday night throughout the semester.
From our annual Spring Event that brings a major musical act to campus, to Grilled Cheese Night deliveries to fuel study during finals, a taste of food and fun at World Fest, and the Friends and Family Weekend Bed Race, joining in on our traditions makes you truly part of the family.
