Meet the staff: SoundangelMartinaWaechter (MartinaFiertze)
Every issue we want to introduce you to the staff. Get to know them a little better, read about how they breed their KittyCatS! and all that they want to share. This time it's time to meet one of our newest auctioneers, Martina! We asked her some questions so let's dive into it!
Martina: I have been in SL since June 21, 2008 and have already done a lot here in SL. At the moment I am working alongside the auctioneer, Djane and as a professional model in various modeling agencies. I am also the reigning Miss Europe, Miss Continent and I have also won several awards in the Model Brange. But that's not all, I'm also a dancer and dance coreographer at Allegro Dance Company. And all of this make me a lot of fun.

Whendidyougetyourfirst KittyCatandwhatbreedwasit?
Martina: My first Kittys I got from a friend in Summer of 2016 and I breeded it but it was two genesis cats and I wanted to know more of it so I read the website of KittyCatS. I registred me there and I got from Michelle the schedule for the auctions. My first auction that I visited was by Mirsoul on Saturday and I bought my first breedable cats. It was the Toyger Caramel and I have so fun with the kitty that I made it my hobby to breed KittyCatS! and visit the auctions.
Doyouhaveanyreallifecats?
Martina: I once had one, Miezi, who died and she probably had to suffer a lot, so I didn't want any more and the traffic on our street has become so high that you have to be afraid if you let her run free and that's what she shoulden do also can.

What was your most proud moment as a KittyCatS Breeder?
Martina: I would never have expected that I would now also be an auctioneer. I have always admired the auctioneers for all the knowledge of the cats and the work they always do.
RandomfactsaboutMartina:
The surprises that come out of the cats is what Martina enjoys the most about KittyCatS! They all look so lovely!
If she could invent a new trait it would be a new fur!
Martina doesn't know how many breeding pairs she has. She stopped counting them at some point!
What she enjoys most about the auction is to meet such lovely people

Trait of the month EuropeanShorthairLondonFog
The European Shorthair - London Fog is a relatively new fur that was discovered with the Summer collection of 2023. On the 15th of August Julinah was the lucky person to have discovered this.
RLEuropeanShorthairs.
The European Shorthair was originally and selectively bred by crossing a British Shorthair with the Persian to becoma a cobbier cat with a slightly shortned muzzle and a thicker coat. The cat are of medium size with a muscular body. The eye can be any color, including the odd eyed ones. They have a short, dense and glossy fur.
Most European Shorthairs are strong, active, intelligent and playfull. They are friendly towards people of all ages and get will with other cat and can tolorate dogs as well.
They tend to handle changes and active homes very well, making them suitable for families with children.
