We are very gratefull and proud to present to you the third issue of our CatTales Catzine. By joining the contests and reading through we feel like we can give something to you that is interesting to everyone that loves KittyCats!

This issue we talk to DA, the winner of the last photocontest She will let us have a look in her first experiences with KittyCats! and many more things that she wanted to share with us.

Speaking of Contests. We have a new Photocontest with the theme of International Cat Day. In this issue we will give you more information about what the day is about. Cat's of course.... With a little info about real life genetics and let you have fun

Trolley has a new recipe for us to enjoy while cooking and China will let us take a look into her KittyCats! adventures.

On the cover of the CatTales CatZine you have found the photo of our photocontest winner. With the theme of heatwave DA got the most votes, Congratulations! Dee dove into asking DA some questions about who she is and of course KittyCats!

DA bought her first KittyCats! Cat on October 1st of 2020. It was named Harleqin and she got her as more of an interactive pet on SecondLife. Harleqin is a Russian Black with Rainbow Prism eyes.

After some light breeding in 2020, just to see what would happen, DA started diving into the whole KittyCats! breeding earlier this year.

Dee: What is one thing you would like people to know about you?

DA: I'm a bit shy and kind of a homebody that loves to bake and watch anime

DA's Shops !

Currently she is a sucker for cats with Odyssey Slush or Odyssey Crystal Rose eyes. But her ultimate weakness are cats with Rainbow eyes Which are great eyes for favorites in Dee's response.

The eyes that she is not that much of a fan with are the FlowerChild eyes.

DA says it may be a bit silly but if she can choose a new collection she would like on based around Pokemon's Eevee and it's evolutions.

Dee's Response: That’s a great idea! Even maybe a Pokemon Collection to include some of the others

What DA wants to learn more about with the KittyCats! is the hiders as she is still feeling new to this She also wants to know more about how to pull or push traits. Her favorite part about the KittyCats! community is that everyone is really friendly and that it's fun and exciting to see all the different combinations people come up with for their kitties and to what comes out next in the collections. That is also what keeps her in the community

Dee: Is there anything else you would like to add today? Any ideas, questions, suggestions, ect.?

DA: A suggestion to add a later class ttime for people to learn about hiders or a crash course on how to pick kitties for auctions along with how to judge price settings for the cats.

China has been on SecondLife for 15 years now and besides Kittycats! she owns and runs a Gacha Resale Sim, lots of tenants with tons of amazing gacha. Many now rare. She also spends time with Leo trying to get our land organised.

China: Oh and I'm a shopaholic *hangs head*

What she loves most about KittyCats! is the people, the community. Cats are second to that with her favorite passion for the collection kitties.

At one time she had 5 Real Life Cats. 3 of them were rescues and the last rescue, named Gizmo, is with her now. She will get more.... maybe, because she can't imagine a life without a cat although she is predominantly a dog person

China: There isn't one for me, they all have something to offer But I am partial to Foxie Ears. In real life same applies, but I'd love a Maine Coon, however don't think I'd afford one or enjoy the upkeep So moggies for me!

China's tip for new breeders: Be patient, it takes time to pick things up but you'll get there.........

Mags helps me out breeding, he does all the technical stuff and he sends me notes on what to do with what lol. I'd just breed kitties together I like, but he's doing the kitties from starters for me to try and tease some new trait out

That means for me that the combination of traits that you want to use will shine and stand out most of the time. The Toyger - Caramel fur is a retired fur and placed in the very recessive range of the dominance charts. You can find it between the Australian Mist - Charcoal and the Toyger - Coal.

It is a great cat to combine to your new starter or collection kitties, because your retired fur will let you know if the hidden fur is a fur that is more recessive if it shows up on your new born kitten. That is because retired traits can not come from your starter cats!

Stina's Herb Garden Eggs

Ingredients:

6 large eggs, hard-boiled

3 Tablespoons minced fresh herbs (thyme, basil, savory, marjoram, parsley, etc )

Sweet butter

Grated cheese (Gruyere, Swiss, Provolone, Aged Jack, etc.)

1 cup heavy (whipping) cream

2 large RAW eggs, well-beaten

Sea salt

Freshly ground black pepper

Peel the hard-boiled eggs and coarsely chop. Evenly distribute the chopped eggs in a single layer in a lightly buttered baking dish (or use six 4-ounce oven-proof ramekins to make individual portions) Set aside

Gently cook the minced herbs in butter for five minutes - do not allow them to brown. The idea is to "sweat" the herbs and infuse the butter with their flavor 1-2 tablespoons of butter is plenty

When the herbs are tender, remove the pan from heat and add the cup of cream and the well-beaten raw eggs. Salt and pepper to taste. Pour the mixture over the chopped eggs in the baking dish or individual ramekins Sprinkle with a small amount of grated cheese (Gruyere was Stina's and Mama’s cheese of choice) and bake at 350 Fahrenheit (177 celsius) for 1520 minutes or until slightly puffed and lightly browned.

Serve immediately Don’t plan on leftovers These don’t reheat all that well.
