Dee: What is your favorite trait?

Tempeste: So hard to pick a favorite trait over all... I'll go with Boo Boo Whiskers.

Dee: I LOVE how Boo Boo Whiskers is your favorite! But what is your least favorite trait?

Tempeste: That is a little easier Soft Curl

Dee: Haha. I get it, Odyssey Bellini for me. Now do you have a favorite Collection?

Tempeste: Is Cabbits a collection? if not then probably Under the Sea.

Dee: Yes CaBBits can totally count as a collection! Under the Sea is one of my tops too.

If Tempeste could choose the next collection look she would prefer natural fur, maybe from lions and panthers But Callie likes to put clothes on them so how about the Revolutionaries? Frock Coats, Powdered wigs and bonnets

Tempeste enjoys all the sharing in the group chat of the KittyCatS! Community. She is a compulsive helper and that is what the community needs more of People like Tempeste

The literal addiction is what is keeping her in the community. She has quite a bit of money invested in collectables and in nearly 10 000 boxes

What do you have to do?

Make a photo or a screenshot of your New Born Kitten This can be boxed or opened, what you feel most comfortable with.

Drop your photo full permission in the idea box on the table with the name Proud Breeding + Your Name OR send the photo by email to Wendy.CatTales@gmail.com.

Provide with infomation through notecard or mail with the traits on the cat, the story about proud breeding (what did you succeed in), the next step you want to accomplish, ect Anything you want to share about the cat you are so proud of.

Balinese - Flame Lynx

The Balinese - Flame Lynx is a recessive and retired fur. It was discovered in the Easter collection of 2012 by Ambyr Kirax and Devilness Chant. More then 5 years later on 6th June 2017 this fur retired and wasn't able to come from new starters anymore.

Another perfect fur to help with your (collection) starter cats Pair the cat up with them and if you get this fur you won't be super mad, because it is a stunning and uncommon fur, but you also know that there is something hiding that is more recessive then your Balinese - Flame Lynx Win, win situation while pulling out your other traits

On torgons you can find about 87 currently. They are ranging from 3 to 9 traited cats and there are some sized ones among them. If you want to go for a realistic combination of traits for this cat I would say to use a Azure, Mysterious/Small eyes - Lush Tail - (Pixie) Tufted ears - White, Plush whiskers. But can always give a little twist to the kitties with your traits of preference

Taking a look at the cat in real life the looks of the Balinese are simillar. The Red point or "Flame point" Balinese cat has pointed markings of light to dark redorange color

To acquire the red-orange color of the flame Siamese cats were crossbred with an orange-red Tabby Cat to produce the red colored points in the Siamese genetics

The first records of Red or "Flame" Pointed cats appeared in the 1930's. Initially it was said that the breed with the red tabby cats was accidental, but later it produced these Red pointed cats. Only after hard work of breeders in 1948 the color point was reconized by cat registries, but not as a Siamese/Balinese. That took until the year 1971.

Trolley, Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

Trolley: I'm just a little ole gal from Lasata, Alabama in the United States of 'Murica. Don't look for it on a map, you won't find it. I found my way to SL long time ago to annoy my SisterCousin. That's what families do, you know: fuss, fight, feud and then kiss and make up.

KittyCatS!

Trolley is still waiting on getting her first KittyCat that she can keep. Everytime she get's one for herself, SisterCousin steals it.

SisterCousin steals every single kitty that Trolley gets, but she will get even. One day she will steal SisterCousin's prize Mega Confetti's. Though she likes to steal the cats that SisterCousin had and along with that to see how many pairs of shoes she can steal from her too.

Do you have any real life cats?

SisterCousin's got two that she lets her visit when she drops by for a visit. Sometimes she even let's her pet them.

Most memorable moment at aucton: Well, there was the day that SisterCousin and I both showed up with our microphones on. It like to busted everybody's eardrums. Squelch.

If you could invent a new trait, what would it be?

I sure would like to see kitties with PERSONALITY traits: grumpy cats that hiss at you, friendly cats that give you a high-five, goofy cats that do tricks and dance....

Trolley's tip to someone just starting out with KittyCatS!

Ask lots of questions and go to as many auctions as you can to get a feel for what kinds of cats appeal to you. Attend one of Lexi's breeding classes so you can learn how to improve your odds of breeding your "dream cats." Most of all, breed what YOU love and have fun.

Story time and Cooking with Trolley

Back home, August is known as The Dog Days of Summer. The grass is brown and crunchy; the flowers so parched they can't hold their heads up; and dogs hide under the house, tongues hanging in the dirt, tired from trying to cool off a mite

If they be lucky, peoples got themselves a big old stock tank to soak in Or if they be city folks, they got themselves a lawn sprinkler to turn on and kill two birds with one stone: water the lawn and rinse themselves off hoping in and out of the "shower."

Not much cooking gets done in August. Too hot to turn on an oven, stand over a grill, or fry up a mess of catfish But we still had to eat and Mama could work magic with cold cuts, icebox pies and store-bought bread and homemade mayonnaise

Salads were made for August long as it didn't need tomatoes, cucumbers and tender salad greens that give up the ghost in the garden once it turns hot.

Carrots fit the bill. Tasty, cheap, and everybody likes ' em. I'm still partial to Mama's "Fast Carrots" and I know you ' re gonna like ' em too

SisterCousin calls ' em "Carottes Râpées" like they do in France But then she's always got to go making us look like country hicks

But Mama weren't no hick. She NEVER cut her carrots with a box grater or put ' em in one of those electric food processors. Said that made the carrots look tacky, pitiful and forlorn. Instead, Mama took the time to run a vegetable peeler the whole length of each carrot to make a big pile of orange ribbons. Pretty. Made ' em taste better, too.

"Carottes Râpées"

Recipe for 4 servings

1 pound (about 450 grams) long slender carrots, peeled

1 Tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

3 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Several grinds of black pepper

1 Tablespoon snipped chives

1/2 teaspoon black sesame seeds if you have

Working over a medium bowl, use a vegetable peeler to shave the carrots into ribbons (pretend you’re peeling the carrots, but keep going, rotating the carrot now and then, until you can’t peel anymore). Set aside. Save the skinny cores for another use, or snack on them

In a small bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, mustard and salt, then whisk in the olive oil. Add several grinds of black pepper. Pour the dressing over the carrots and toss to coat. Divide between four plates, and sprinkle each with half the chives and half the black sesame seeds (if using.)

Serve right away or keep chilled for up to a few hours.
