Well done to Katie Malliff (10) from Wendover who took part in the Technifibre U13 English Squash Closed Tournament in Winchester. Katie beat the currently ranked ESR English U11 number 1 seed in the first round of the tournament and ended up in overall 13th place in this national tournament. The Covering all Plumbing and Heating tennis Wimbledon ticket ballot will take place on 1 May at 8.00pm in the Clubhouse. The annual general meeting of Wendover Theatre Society will take place on Monday 12 May in Wendover Memorial Hall. at 8.00 pm As this may be the last meeting of the Society you are strongly urged to attend.
The swarming season for honeybees has started early this year with the first reported swarms on the second weekend of April. If you believe you have seen a swarm please go to our website www.mbbka.org.uk and verify that it is honeybees before contacting our swarm officer on 07770 370132. He will coordinate organising a local beekeeper to collect the swarm. This month sees the start of our summer meetings being based at the training apiary commencing 21 May.
At present, the Committee of the Society feels that the Society is unable to continue due to a lack of a full production team for the next pantomime. The pantomime is the lifeblood of the Society as it brings in funds to support other productions throughout the year. I understand
