Race Description
Listed races are high class and only bettered by a Grade 1, 2 or 3 contests. In effect, it is an intermediate level; many of the runners in this two miles and half a furlong hurdle race will now have an official rating that makes it no longer feasible to run them in handicaps and will be using this race as a springboard to even better things. Initially, weight is allocated according to age, before penalties are given to horses that have previously won at this level or above.
