Race Description
Juvenile races are designed solely for three-year-olds in order to allow the younger horses to gain valuable experience by racing against each other before taking on their older, more battle-hardened rivals. Initially, every runner in this two miles and one furlong hurdle race is allotted 10st 12lb (fillies 10st 5lb), before previous winners are given a penalty dependant on the class of race which they won – 6lb for a Class 4 or 5 hurdle race or 10lb for a Class 1 to 3 hurdle race victory.

PLAY SMARTER
Only a handful of these make any serious appeal, with GRAYSTONE getting the verdict to double his tally over hurdles having made all at Warwick earlier this month. He sets a solid standard and, if able to brush up on his jumping, he should have too much for his inexperienced rivals here. Irish Hill is an interesting recruit for Paul Nicholls so he’s feared most, ahead of Brainstorm.
