DANIEL CRAGGS General Manager, Huntingdon Racecourse
Welcome to Huntingdon Racecourse for our Community Raceday, one of the most enjoyable and meaningful fixtures of our season. Today we celebrate the people, charities, and organisations that make Huntingdonshire such a vibrant and supportive community
We’re joined by a wonderful range of local organisations, charities, and community groups, including the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme, Hamerton Zoo Park, Autism in Racing, the Cromwell Museum, Riding for the Disabled, Huntingdon Town Council, the Royal British Legion, the Injured Jockeys Fund, an arts and crafts space, facepainting and St John Ambulance. We’re also proud to support our charity of the year, Creating Nature’s Corridors, who are here with donation buckets and a tombola to raise funds for their inspiring environmental work. A warm welcome too to our Samba Band, New Samba, who will add a lively rhythm to today’s celebrations.
Our sincere thanks go to today’s raceday sponsors - The Banks Family, PricedUp, Diversity Jobs Group, Bayleaf Care Home, and the Huntingdonshire Nostalgia Trust - for their valued and continued support.
On the racing front, we have a competitive seven-race card to enjoy, including the Macer Gifford Memorial Race We’re delighted to welcome Sarah Gifford and her family to Huntingdon as we celebrate Macer’s contribution and connection to both the sport and this racecourse.
Thank you to all owners, trainers, jockeys, racegoers, and our dedicated team for making days like this possible. Whether you’re here to support a local cause, cheer home a favourite, or simply enjoy a day with friends and family, we hope you have a memorable afternoon with us.
Here’s to a fantastic Community Raceday - and another wonderful day of racing at Huntingdon.

Choose your bet. ‘To win’ or ‘each-way’ are popular types of bet.
‘To win’ is for your horse to come first.
‘Each-way’ is for your horse to come first or to be placed. It’s two bets, so ‘£2 each-way’ = £4 total bet.
Decide the amount – or stake – you are comfortable to bet.
Place your bet. There are different places to bet on course; The Tote, racecourse bookmakers, betting shop or online. Each option offers a different experience.
Collect. Once ‘Weighed-in’ has been announced, present your betting slip and collect any winnings.

PLAY SMARTER
This is wide open but it could pay to side with LORD WARBURTON who signalled he is readyto strike again when a patiently-ridden fourth at Market Rasen recently and can race off a 1lb lower mark upped further in trip here. The lightly-raced Captain Trigger heads a long list of dangers on the back of his improved C&D second, although Jager Time, The Wise Traveller and Lelantos all need factoring in too.
