As their name suggests, STTP-Straight To The Point is a multifaceted group of creatives bringing a whole new wave of collaborative artistry to the New Jersey music scene. The STTP [aka S Double] camp consists of four dynamic naturalborn creatives, turned friends, turned artists. With a history going back over 10 years, STTP includes rapper and producer 8aint Jame8 (Saint James), producer Epidemic, lyricist VILLA & singer and songwriter LBtheGREAT. On top of their close ties, the group has found a style and collaborative speed that puts the full range of each of their talents and abilities on display. Over the years, STTP has created both individually and collaboratively, with all four members attributing their STTP family with opening their creative third-eye and allowing them to continually put their best foot forward in music and beyond. Together, the group released STTPSZN I in December 2020, with individual projects on the way from each of them as well. With their blend of musical and cultural backgrounds, each STTP member not only owns their own, but brings a unique element to everything they do. Over the past year, the group fought back the challenges of performing and headlined several shows in the NYC and NJ area, continuously focused on remaining relevant and opening the ears of new listeners. The team has stayed focused and rode the wave by taking risks and in doing so have been able to keep the attention of their loyal day one fans and also gain some traction in unchartered territory. By the end of the year, the four have their sights set on the release of their projects #STTPSZNII and #THEGREATFLOOD which will include a slew of new music from the entire STTP crew.

LBTHEGREAT

As the group’s only female member, LBtheGREAT stands out for reasons beyond the physical. Her sound and personality is bold, fun and equally empowering. As an alpha-female, LB celebrates living in your truth boldly and unapologetically and makes music to match.”Who you are is not only enough, it’s spectacular and should be celebrated every moment of every day!

Stand strong in your power and NEVER dim your light for anyone or anything!” LB is a resilient, bold, fun Queen who is all about being who you are, and it’s hard not to love her for it. Her latest project, NEON AQUAPUSSY is the definition of free-spirited artistry and she doesn’t hold back. As a group member, she keeps the STTP team on their toes with necessary drama and fabulous flair while always encouraging them to be “authentically us”. Her positive contagious energy is a breath of fresh air and contributes well to mixing their individual styles and sounds. “We’re not focused on what’s popular or trendy, but rather making something we all love.” For now, queen LB is busy being her true self and working on her next project HOLOGRAPHIC, anticipated before the end of 2021. EPIDEMIC

Epidemic lends his art to everything STTP does and creates, most notably with his natural ear for instrumentation, and methodical piecing together of sounds. As the group’s main producer his influence is undeniable and necessary for their overall sound and success.

“I’m a producer and ultimate team player. I try to give as many ideas as possible and try to help whenever I can.” He brings diversity, lyrics, delivery, passion, and ultimately strengthens the group’s connection with both his personality and work ethic. Growing up with Hispanic and hip hop influences, Epidemic says he’s most interested in evoking emotion and creating and sharing his music with family, friends and the world. From working on countless STTP projects for his groupmates, Epidemic now has his sights set on releasing his first project titled “24hrs” later this year.

VILLA

Villa is not only a talented artist, but he saw the potential for STTP’s success long before their inception. As their founding member, STTP came to fruition from VILLA’s brain child from 10 years ago. What started off as a thought for the young creative led to the networking and teamwork that would create the unit you see today. For years, Villa remained patient, positive and passionate about not only creating but maintaining his group’s efforts as well.

Musically, his message is one of positivity, upliftment of all people, and evoking confidence in others while telling his own story. In addition to his STTP collabs, VILLA recently released the solo album BBEH (Broken Bottles Empty Hearts) and is working on his upcoming project PLD ( Punch.Love. Drunk.).

8AINT JAME8

8aint James wears many hats in the STTP camp. In the creative aspect, he is a rapper and producer who delivers empowering music filled with braggadocious bars and vivid details about honesty and self-awareness. As a producer, he’s developed a way to blend his love for lyricism with melodic cadences over trap and modern sounds. 8aint Jame8 credits his musical background to sounds of caribbean and hip-hop influences.

Paired with his own authentic storytelling and delivery, 8aint released his debut project Clips Vol. 1 in 2017 followed by Clips Vol. 2 in 2018, and in 2019 he released Clips Vol. 3. Most recently he’s coming off the release of his first full-length project H.I.M Vol 2 an 8 track project featuring the STTP family LBtheGREAT, VILLA and Epidemic, NDEED and 8aint Jame8 himself on production.

As the group’s “Cerebro” and the glue that holds it all together, 8aint Jame8 is a go-getter whose ultimate goal, mission, and message is success in both his personal and group efforts with genuine and impactful sounds, “We put great energy into all of our music with divine purpose so it’s something that can be truly heard and people can truly feel”.

On a mission to create his own unique wave of east coast hip hop over the years, 8aint Jame8 remains calm and confident on his quest to personal triumph by remaining firm in his unwillingness to compromise creativity while staying true to self.
