A passionate soul when it comes to music, Leeky Bandz was always in love with hip hop, it was something he always did with his brothers. Pouring all of his energy into music, you can hear his raw passion and talent in every project. Growing up in the Lower East Side Leeky Bandz was always surrounded by different races and people, his older brothers were always rapping so he combined the two, the diversity around him and his exposure to rap, and created his own lane.

Leeky Bandz is inspired by the greats before him, he uses that and meshes it with the sound of today to create a bridge between old hip hop and new hip hop pushing the envelope in creativity and authenticity. Having released his first full body of work “Life After Future” Leeky Bandz valued quality and lyricism. Motivated by the need to put out a good, lit, cohesive body of work allowed him to do just that.
Determining success based on his goals and dreams, Leeky Bandz brings all of his ideas to fruition. He emphasizes cultivating your success by doing what you like, live out your ultimate dreams! As a listener of PNB Rock, it was surreal for Leeky Bandz to see him reach out for a collaboration, it just speaks to the effort and the work he is putting in. Well-known behind the scenes as a songwriter, producer, arranger, and background vocalist, August 08 is a true musician as music was always a part of him. August 08’ was born to make music, he values and emphasizes the beauty in music with the help of his melting, bellowing voice. Long Beach, California native has natural talent that pulls at the strings of your heart.
A master with his pen game and emotion provoking with today’s RnB, August 08’ has written songs that have gotten much attention such as Wale’s “Fashion Week” and DJ Khaled’s “I’m the One” which has been number one in the US for some time. He has also written hits for Chance the Rapper, Lil Wayne, G-Eazy, etc.
Taking special care with vulnerability, August 08’ has learned to navigate vulnerability when it comes to his music. It is okay to feel emotion, don’t be afraid to show them. August 08’ encourages kids, especially from areas like Compton, Long Beach and Lynwood to find an outlet to fully and safely express themselves.
