Concept In recent years the maximum speed of sport motorcycles and especially in racing has increased to over 350 km/h - a fact which we now face with the new X-Spirit III. The extreme aerodynamic shape has been developed in many hours of wind tunnel (1) testings. By the edged shape of the helmet shell on the upper head and chin area and the additional and individually adjustable spoilers, the XSpirit III offers a totally new autostability, which offers unequalled performance especially in higher speed ranges. As a result the X-Spirit III keeps the concentrated and especially calm sight there, where it should be: On racing line, competitor, breaking points and rev meter!

The EPS-foam integrated air ducts provide a superior free flowing ventilation system
Shell/ The outer helmet shell of the X-Spirit III is made out of six layers of organic and Multi-Composite-Fibreglass (AIM+) and absorbs even the hardest impacts despite its lightweight feel. At the same time the special Multi-EPS-liner (1) absorbs further energy due to its different density foam construction. The integrated ventilation system ensures an absolutely free owing system, providing maximum user comfort. The X-Spirit III is built to meet and conform to European ECE 22R/05-safety standard.

6 air intakes and outlets for optimum ventilation
A good and effective ventilation is very important especially on a racing helmet! The new X-Spirit III by SHOEI has six different intakes and outlets (1), which supply the rider with fresh air, and respectively extract out warm air. At the same time the position of the rider is not vital as whilst behind a screen the head will still be eďŹƒciently ventilated. New at SHOEI is the ďŹ rst time ventilation of the cheek pad, which we created by installing unique air ducts, which are integrated inside the mask liner (2).

Interior A comfortable contact to the head is also vital on a racing helmet. That‘s why we left nothing to chance and developed for the first time a very flexible, removable and washable helmet interior (2). For almost every rider a perfect fit can be found by offering different sizes for each pad providing a custom fit interior option.

New and ground breaking on the X-Spirit III is the individually and easy adjustment of the whole helmet on the head by up to 4 degrees (1)! Depending on the head shape and posture, the position of the helmet and thus the field of view can be adjusted. By the usage of the comfortable Max-Dry-material (red) sweat can evaporate up to twice as quick than on conventional nylon surfaces. For the first time the cheek pad is also ventilated (8).

The standardized and integrated emergency system E.Q.R.S. (Emergency Quick Release System) moreover allows an easy helmet removal in the event of an accident (3).

Visor

The 2D-formed CWR-F racing visor of the X-Spirit III (1) not only allows the usage of tear off sheets, the show stopper is the combined and left-turning mounting of the internal Pinlock® Evo-system (2)! The visor is made of polycarbonate, whereby 99% of the damaging UV rays will be absorbed. A unique and aerodynamic locking system (3) avoids any unintentional opening of the visor – even in a crash. New are the rear tiny generators (4), which create intended air turbulences which also improve the helmet stability. Thanks to the very clever QR-E-mechanism (5) and use of the differentcoloured visors available, the helmet can adapted to suit different weather conditions. The Pinlock® Evo-fitted to the X-Spirit III offers not only an effective mist-retardant system, but also an even greater field of vision.
