The Alternative Hair Show

The Alternative Hair Show is committed to raising much needed funds for Fighting Leukemia whilst at the same time finding and promoting artistic hairdressers from all over the world.

The charity was set up by Alternative Hair founder, Tony Rizzo to support Leukemia Research programmes. Tony Rizzo has presented the Alternative Hair Show every year since 1983 and the 2020 Alternative Hair Show, however the 38thshow should have taken place in October. However due to the Covid19 Pandemic it made travel difficult and large group gatherings forbidden. But, Tony Rizzo is a man with a Mission! As people couldn’t attend the show, he decided he would bring it virtually to the world. So by discussing his plans with hair & IT experts the First Virtual Hair Event, IMAGINE took place on October 11th 2020. “It was an unforgettable, interactive show, where we shared inspiring presentations from world-renowned artists. At the same time we were supporting the Fighting Leukemia Foundation as the Alternative Hair Show 2020 was broadcasted via pay-per-view, so the audience donated to continue funding the fight against Leukemia. We presented 24 of the most creative and imaginative Artistic Hair Teams in the world.” said Tony Rizzo. Supported by the same production team he has worked with over the years, as well as Alternative Hair Show Global President, Anthony Mascolo, Tony presented an incredible show that inspired the world. The event also included virtual finalists of the International Visionary Awards with the winners announced live.
