June'25 Recap

Page 1

6.1.25 // 5pm

Taylor Swift Party

RSVP: 35

Final Guest Count: 90

Marketed: Newsletter, Email Blast, Weekly Reminder, 2 reminder emails (initial invite and 2 hours before), and Bulletin Board

Details: This was repeated from last year We had more people this year, as well as a DJ. I offered the dads a space to go, and they didn’t want to leave, they wanted to hang out. A few dads even received honorable mentions during the lipsync contests. This was a great time. It was also great to see families interacting and dancing with each other.

Notes for next time: I wouldn’t change anything different for next year The photoprop wall was highly complimented, the snacks were great (which we had to replenish 3 times), the bracelet making station is a hit, and everyone was getting their nails painted.

SUMMER

6.2.25 // 7pm

Trivia Night

RSVP: -

Final Guest Count: 6

Marketed: Newsletter, Email Blast, Weekly Reminder, 2 reminder emails (initial invite and 2 hours before), and Bulletin Board

Details: I knew going into this we wouldn’t have a lot, because those that normally come were on vacation. We still had a great time. It was fun to watch everyone acting things out.

Notes for next time: I’m not sure I would do charades again. It was fun to watch everyone, and it probably would have been more fun with a larger group, but they kept throwing away the ones they didn’t want to do, which was fine, but some of them would have been fun to act out

Charades

BBQ & Dads

RSVP: 12

Final Guest Count: 75

Marketed: Newsletter, Email Blast, Weekly Reminder, 2 reminder emails (initial invite and 2 hours before), and Bulletin Board

Details: I had a few families confirm, and then was SO nervous that it wasn’t going to pan out like Mother’s Day had. It went so well! The dads just kept coming in. This went better than expected. We did run out of food, but thankfully, we always have snacks, so we just put those out Everyone was so excited about this event, and the dads certainly loved it.

Notes for next time: I will assume that more people will show up, but based on last year and the number of RSVPs, I was nervous no one would come, so I didn’t want to make too much food. It turned out to be great, and was wonderful!

Wine Club

RSVP: 21

Final Guest Count: 21

Marketed: Newsletter, Email Blast, Weekly Reminder, 2 reminder emails (initial invite and 2 hours before), and Bulletin Board

Details: We did Seasonal Wines (Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter) We offered childcare and had 7 kids. Each season had three wines (white, rose, and red). Each wine had a snack and dessert item paired with it, as well as a suggested menu item to serve with this wine At the previous wine event, they liked the information, but wanted to be a little more “self-guided”, so I did a semi-self-guided event, where I talked about what made each wine perfect for that season, the snacks that were paired, and let them do their thing. All of the information was in front of them, though. I focused more on pacing between each set of wines.

Notes for next time: I had a lot of the items pre-portioned, but next time I will portion ALL of the items. I had amazing wine club goers that assisted with pouring wine and passing out items, but I think I threw them for a loop when SOME items were already portioned and other items were not

6.14.25 // 4pm

Parent’s Night Out

RSVP: 23

Final Guest Count: 23

Marketed: Newsletter, Email Blast, Weekly Reminder, 2 reminder emails (initial invite and 2 hours before), and Bulletin Board

Details: We had kids on kids This was so much fun! We watched movies, made sun catchers, danced, and ate all the food. We had a wide range of kid ages, and everyone had a handful of friends. It was a great time.

Notes for next time: More crafts. There are a handful of kids that just want to craft the whole time, and I’m here for it. I’ll get more involved crafts next time.

6.19.25 // 11am

Brunch and Bingo

RSVP: -

Final Guest Count: 43

Marketed: Newsletter, Email Blast, Weekly Reminder, 2 reminder emails (initial invite and 2 hours before), and Bulletin Board

Details: Bingo was a great time, as always We had fun prizes and breakfast items Last year, we didn’t have as many people over the summer bingos, so I had JUST ENOUGH food. I’m glad I didn’t have leftovers, because bingo leftovers normally go to bunco, but bunco was canceled It all worked out, we all had fun

Notes for next time: We had people using more than one bingo card, which... I have never been specific one way or another, and for this being a “free” event, it has created such a raucous. I’m going to add in that if people want to use more than one card, they need to bring a donation item OR accept that they can’t win. It’s never been a problem to date, but this time, it was something to write home about.

Paper Shred

RSVP: -

Final Guest Count: -

Marketed: Newsletter, Email Blast, Weekly Reminder, 2 reminder emails (initial invite and 2 hours before), and Bulletin Board

Details: We had over 1000 pounds of paper shredded (which was more than last time). Everyone loved this event.

Notes for next time: After talking to the guy, he mentioned that for the amount of people in the community, doing it twice a year might be too much. Next year, we’ll schedule it for the middle of May (after tax season) and go from there.

6.22.25 // 12pm

Crafts and a Movie

RSVP: -

Final Guest Count: 28

Marketed: Newsletter, Email Blast, Weekly Reminder, 2 reminder emails (initial invite and 2 hours before), and Bulletin Board

Details: We had 9 different crafts for the kids to pick from I’m not sure if everyone texted their friends, because we went from having 10 kids, doing crafts and eating snacks, but once the movie got started, they just kept coming in. To be fair, everyone loves Stitch

Notes for next time: No notes. Crafts and a movie are always a good time.

6.26.25 // 7pm

Glow-in-the-Dark Pool Party

RSVP: -

Final Guest Count: 250

Marketed: Newsletter, Email Blast, Weekly Reminder, 2 reminder emails (initial invite and 2 hours before), and Bulletin Board

Details: First, shoutout to Seaworld and Aquatica for providing AquaGlow swag and AquaGlow tickets for a raffle prize. We had over 2500 glowing items, between balls and glow sticks, everything was lighting up. This was a great event. We had food trucks in the parking lot and we had a DJ

Notes for next time: Not many notes. I did get feedback from the residents that they weren’t huge fans of this particular DJ, but when you have DJ Arthur, it’s hard to compare to anyone else. The DJ was fine... it was just the difference between staying at a motel and a 5-star hotel....
