The quarter finals will be played between 27 August and 11 September, and crossing borders between neighbouring countries will even play in some areas.
The sign ups for the World Amateur Match Race Season Start 2 is still on for selected countries. We are very excited to see the interest in our new markets like South Africa, Malaysia, Mexico, Thailand, Spain, Argentina and selected states in the US. Australia and New Zealand are not letting us down as always. In the June issue of Tournament Magazine, we presented the World Padel Race. Happy Tech Group specializes in locally competitive tournament concepts, where the grand final is held in Dubai. Due to the enormous interest in Padel worldwide, it is obvious that we have started the World Padel Race which also starts now in October I wish you all the best of luck at the golf course and cannot wait to see the finalists from Season Start 1 here in Dubai in November.

The final in Dubai, was it the experience you expected?
James answers: It was so much more than I expected. I could not believe how well treated we were from the moment we stepped off the plane by Martin and all of the lads who organised the competition, and it really gave m an insight into the life of a professional golfer. We cannot wait to defend our title in Dubai at the end of November and see what kind of craic is waiting for us in Dubai this year.

Cormac answers: No, not at all. It was beyond what we would expect. Growing up, we dreamed of being pros on the PGA or European Tour. Sadly, that didn’t materialise, but it was a fantastic experience!

James O´Brien & Cormac Browne from Ireland INTERVIEWED BY MARTIN JENSEN

James answers: Last year, we got the total value for the sign up fee since we managed to qualify for the Dubai Final by winning the "Loser Bracket". When we signed up for the last competition, we never thought we would get to Dubai, and we just saw it as a bit of fun. But now here we are, the winners of the World Amateur Match Race Final 2021 that get to automatically qualify for the Dubai final this year as the defending champions, it is unreal.
James answers: We had the opportunity to win four hole in one competitions per course we played. It would have been unreal to win a Ferrari or a Rolex watch. Also, the three golf courses we got to play were stunning. We are lucky in Ireland that we have so many brilliant golf courses here, but the ones we played in Dubai were nothing like I had ever played before.

Cormac answers: I was shocked when we received the golf club and ball full of Swarovski stones, and I have never even seen anything like that. Another thing that sticks out in my mind is going into the locker rooms at Jumeirah Estate and seeing names like Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry, and Jon Rahm on the lockers. Our own lockers, clothing with our country's flag with our initials on, and our slots on the range were all small things that significantly added to the experience. Please tell me a bit about your team.
What did the most significant impact on you at the final in Dubai in 2021?
Cormac answers: James and I have been good friends since we met in school 14 years ago, and we both have the pleasure of being members of Moyvalley Golf Club in County Kildare in Ireland. We've been playing as much as we can throughout the summer and availing of the course's practice facilities to continue to work on our games in preparation for November.

James answers: I like the match play concept where golfe different handicaps can play together. But mostly, I like th the winner and loser bracket concept. It is nice to know th get a second chance to qualify for the playoffs if we lose a
Cormac answers: We both work full time, so it can sometimes be hard to get the time where we can both play together, but we make the most of every opportunity. I work at Moyvalley Hotel and Golf Resort, so thankfully, I have great course and practice facilities to use in the evenings after work. What do you like most about the tournament concept?

Cormac answers: the format was fair and really helped us year since we lost a match in the winner bracket but still g second chance to qualify for the playoffs by winning the lo bracket. The fact that we had to play some opponents on home courses also allowed us to play some top courses su The Island, Portumna, Palmerstown House and Carton Ho which was great.
10/ WORLDAMATEURMATCHRACE COM OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT MAGAZINE | ISSUE 8 AUGUST 2022
How do you guys prepare yourself for the Dubai Final James answers: We have been playing and practising sinc left Dubai last year. Rain or windy weather does not matt because we are very used to that in Ireland! We want to g ourselves the best chance to defend our trophy and make Ireland proud once again.

And at the end of the day, the investment packages only cost USD 2,400 each and even give you free participation in two future tournaments.

As a serial entrepreneur, I know my risk The risk is high for the first couple of years, but the potential upside is also high And with the expectations to be publicly listed on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange in Dubai, I am willing to take the risk. If you do not like to take the risk as an investor, you should buy some government bonds or conservative investment funds!

INTERVIEWED BY MARTIN JENSEN Andreas, can you tell me a little bit about yourself? I have been an entrepreneur my entire life and founded numerous firms I am the Founder and Partner Manager of BI Firm in Sweden We run development projects using big data and business intelligence. Our ongoing project is SpiderAds, a completely automated advertising system. When and why did you become a shareholder of Happy Tech Group? I invested in the company at the beginning of 2020. I liked the business concept of Happy Tech Group and the scalability of the concept. I know big data sets' importance from my background, and I can see this is the same importance for Happy Tech Group. A small team can run innumerable players, tournaments, and countries simultaneously. Everything is taken care of in-house from development, marketing and customer service, and I like the idea of a grand final in Dubai. Dubai is the perfect place to host any sports events due to the nice weather and the luxury of Dubai; this will give something extra to the finalists.

Are you not nervous about investing in a startup SaaS company like Happy Tech Group?

his tournament has to be for players who are honest all the way. We are fully aware ofT handicap cheaters, especially when the prize is a fully paid trip to Dubai. Thousands of matches are played yearly in our tournament, and complaints are reported to us for various reasons. We always look at a complaint from a holistic level and ask the involved parties about documentation, explanations, contacting previous teams, golf clubs and federations etc. The outcome from our tournament committee does not always suit the disqualified team, maybe we are right, maybe not, but a decision will be made.
14/ WORLDAMATEURMATCHRACE COM OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT MAGAZINE | ISSUE 8 AUGUST 2022
Unfortunately, the World Amateur Match Race tournament committee has had to disqualify various teams during the ongoing tournament due to inappropriate use of handicaps or code of conduct.
It is unacceptable to us that players and teams cheat or violate the code of conduct; therefore, the tournament committee will never tolerate this and immediately disqualify the team. We have optimised our algorithms and AI robots to catch these cheaters. This is an area where we will have even more focus for the upcoming tournaments. It is costly for all of us when teams are cheating. In the future, we will have to take legal action against players and teams who cheat.

The tournament staff wish you all the best of luck at the golf course and cannot wait to see all the finalists in Dubai at the end of November.
Some teams do not quite live up to the code of conduct in this lovely gentleman's sport, and a breach of any code of conduct can also disqualify a team.

We are thrilled to see the support and engage ment stretching from Florida and all the way We still got a couple of weeks left before we close the registration for Season Start 2. The interest in joining our tournament is increasing week by week.

We have never been doing marketing in Mexico before, and we have only been pleasantly impressed by the players' tdedication. o LA in California. In South Africa, players are getting ready in Cape Town, especially in Johannesburg. We have seen fast growth from the Durban players on the southeast coast. Last but not least, we must mention our friends from Mexico, especially Mexico City……WOW!! The clusters from last month are still identically, and the teams from Dallas, Houston and San Antonio are still the primary cities in Texas.

No need to go into the numbers for Australia and New Zealand…….they are just two rock-solid golf countries who never let us down here at the World Amateur Match Race. They have shown HUGE interest in both Season Start 1 and Season Start 2. Also, 18 players from the countries will join the final of Season Start 1 here in Dubai on the 26th of November.
