FEATURE We are excited to be using the full suite of Compas applications which will later be integrated with our Safety and Wellness@Sea modules. Thank you to the Compas project team who have been very busy over the past year in tailoring the system to Wallem’s specific needs, collating all the necessary data to go into it and testing

it to ensure its effectiveness. This project is a great example of the power of collaboration at Wallem, with various teams from Marine HR, Business Process Management and IT working with external consultants to deliver a fully functional system tailored to our specific needs.

Wallem’s Marine HR Manager in India, Simran Pardasani says, "Many things which can be done in one click make Compas really exciting. These include overdue reliefs, compliance checks and onboard module for Portage Bill, etc. This and other aspects of Compas will help us all to reduce man hours and will help to relieve the burden of Masters onboard.”

Stay tuned for more! Compas was launched to test users in May and will be rolled out in stages to the Wallem fleet this summer. We are counting on the support and commitment of our teams both on shore and at sea to ensure that implementation and adoption of this system is a real

Wallem success story. As the system is scalable for growth, we are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. We will continue to look at new and innovative ways that we can use Compas to streamline processes and further improve communication and engagement at Wallem. Issue 2 2017
