estimated private dwellings not occupied by usual residents here in 2021, an increase of 144 residences from 2016. It’s no surprise that people will want to live here just after one visit, and the town of about 15,000 is likely to see a spike as more new home opportunities pop up in the popular multi-family development of Spring Creek Mountain Village and even single-family homes in a recently approved residential subdivision in the historic Brewster family homestead. mountAin resort toWn

Bruce Marpole, Communications Manager or Tourism Canmore Kananaskis isn’t surprised why more people would want to live in Canmore. “The Town of Canmore is the perfect hub for adventure. A picturepostcard perfect community enveloped by the majesty of the Canadian Rockies,” he tells Calgary New Home + Condo Guide. “Trendy boutiques, gourmet dining, eclectic

art galleries, 80 + kilometres of pathways, and a diverse population of residents including accomplished mountaineers and Olympic athletes; this is Canmore.” The nearby Kananaskis Country that surrounds Canmore to the north, south, and east - adds to the allure. “Kananaskis is an impressive mountain landscape spilling across a series of protected provincial parks. Emerald green waterways, unspoiled wilderness and snowcapped mountain peaks, and home to four-season activities for all levels of adventurers. To the west is Banff National Park and only a 20-minute drive to the Town of Banff, making Canmore the perfect adventure hub for all your activities.” Regardless of the weather or time of year, Marpole says there are “endless opportunities” for both indoor and outdoor fun. From museums and galleries to hiking and white-water rafting, the possibilities go on-and-on.
