High school and transfer students in Texas who have worked hard, excelled in high school or have already earned an associate’s degree may be eligible for the JAGUAR PROMISE.

HOW TO APPLY

(1) Go to BecomeAJaguar.com to begin the application process.

(2) Pay the $30 application fee and submit your application.

(3) Send the Office of Admissions your official college transcript(s) for ALL colleges/universities Attended.

Note: Transfer Students with 29 Credits or Less will also be required to submit an official high school transcript.

HOW TO GET IN

Texas A&M University-San Antonio’s admissions criteria are based on several factors.

TRANSFER STUDENTS WITH 30+ CREDITS will be granted automatic admission if they meet the following criteria:

• Have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale

• Eligible to return to all previously attended colleges or universities.

TRANSFER STUDENTS WITH 29 CREDITS OR LESS will be granted automatic admission if they meet the above stated criteria for transfer students (2.0 GPA and eligible to return to all colleges/universities previously attended), have graduated or will graduate from an accredited U.S. high school and meet one of the following criteria:

• Be in the top 35% of your high school class

• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale

• Have an SAT score of 1,100 or higher

• Have a composite SAT score of 22 or higher

GETTING AN INTERNSHIP/JOB

The Mays Center for Experiential Learning and Community Engagement, or Mays Center for short, is THE place to go for help finding a job or internship. Plus, students can explore community service or service learning opportunities through the more than 70 courses that integrate service learning. In addition to the thousands of internship and job postings, the Mays Center also hosts about 14 career fairs each year and helps place students in a variety of internships across the city–and beyond!

MILITARY-EMBRACING

A&M-San Antonio has a long history of serving those who have served. In fact, about one out of seven students enrolled is military-connected. The Office of Military Affairs provides ongoing support for students utilizing educational benefits. Plus, you can take part in the many community-building events held throughout the year.
