Letter from the Founder

Dear Woman of God,

We are on a mission for Jesus. Will you join us? As we watch the signs of time around us change, we can hold onto truth: God is good, He is faithful, and He is with us through everything that life may bring.

So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.

ROMANS 8:28 TPT

We are here to serve you as a women’s group that loves Jesus and desires to point you toward a close relationship with God, who is good all the time. It’s sometimes easy for people to wonder: If God is so good, why do terrible things happen? Being a Christian doesn’t protect us from the pain and darkness in the world. Nor does it protect us from changes in our lives that can happen at any moment. We are to be salt and light on this earth, no matter where we are or what we are facing. You are not alone, even in your struggles. God has a purpose and plan for your life; He has one for mine. Our purposes may be different, but we can trust that God is still good, all the time. He has provided healthy, helpful sisters who want to encourage us through the good and bad, happy and sad times in life. It is our prayer that you will

read the words of hope, healing, and joy in living from the scriptures here in Voice of Truth. It is also our desire to point you toward a mission of being salt and light to a world in need of a Savior.

God often uses our hardships to help us grow, develop strength, and lead us to a closer relationship with Him. We might not always see His plan, but we can trust that His goodness shines through every situation.

As we experience events taking place around the world, we have the choice to be a light through them. It is important as Christ followers to be salt and light, sharing the truth even in the darkest places. The passing of a young man named Charlie Kirk showed us how one person can truly be influential by standing up for the gospel of Jesus Christ. As an entire nation and a “filled-to-capacity stadium” were able to hear the gospel message of Jesus spoken at his televised memorial service, God moved. As one person, Charlie, was bold enough to share his faith with the world while he was alive, and millions of people heard about our Lord when Charlie was remembered after his death. His wife, Erika, along with many others who spoke at his televised memorial, boldly shared scripture, truth, and the gospel message of Jesus! Wow, it was powerful to see it proclaimed throughout the world on TV. As we remember his legacy, we recognize our calling is also to be the “salt of the earth,” a part of God’s mission. Will you be willing to stand for your faith, no matter the cost?

You can have a mission through your purpose!
It

is our desire to help point you closer to a relationship with God so that you can live out your

own faith by persevering against corruption (being salt) and illuminating darkness (being light). Join our mission at Women World Leaders as we try to walk humbly and lead a Spirit-led lifestyle of empowering and serving others, promoting biblical values, and sharing the truth of Christ through our words and honorable deeds.

We pray that you will join us to be effective in this world by bringing out the best in people while pointing them to God. Be salt and light. Each opportunity here is a chance to grow and connect with other women centered on support and sisterhood. Your journey of purpose can start here, and we can’t wait to have you with us to make a global impact!

God is good all the time, and He works all things for our good.

Exceedingly, Abundantly, and Beyond, Kimberly Hobbs

CARTA DE NUESTRA FUNDADORA

Estamos en una misión para Jesús. ¿Te unes a nosotras?

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

GOSPELGrace

Igrew up in a Christian home and went to Christian schools. I accepted Jesus when I was probably in the fourth grade; I only know this because my mom kept the note my Sunday school teacher sent home to let my parents know. We had a wonderful family life—my brother, my parents, and I. From the outside, we were the perfect little Christian family, but that wasn’t really the case. Others, including my father, didn’t know that I had been abused by a family member. I told my mom when I was about eight years old; at that time, those things didn’t get brought up or into the light. Since my dad was a new Christian, my mom thought it best just to keep it quiet; she said she would handle the situation.

Fast forward to my college years. I became the worldly party girl. I struggled with anger, self-worth, and the feeling that no one would ever love me, even though my parents loved me and I’m blessed to have the best earthly dad. I didn’t know my identity in Christ, or how

much my heavenly Father loved me. That would come years later.

I wanted to be married young and have a family of my own, and that’s what I did. I got married at 21, had all three of my children by the time I was 30, and was divorced at 33. I then picked up right where I left off at age 20, acting out and looking for love in all the wrong places. I was so broken. I remember one night in particular, I was suffering from enormous guilt and shame, begging God to please help me. I knew I was at the bottom of the barrel, and I needed His hand to pull me out, and that is exactly what He did.

Deuteronomy 31:6 (NKJV) says,

Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you.

I was trying to piece my life back together while working and struggling to be a single mom. My heart broke every time my kids were shuttled back and forth from

I didn’t know my identity in Christ.

their dad’s house to mine. I became very vulnerable, and the enemy told me the biggest lie: I needed a man to complete my family; I couldn’t be a single Christian mom. How does that look to others? So, I fell prey to the smooth talk of a man I barely knew, who ended up being abusive in every way. Because I had no self-worth and was suffering with shame and not knowing the full love of God, I married the man, putting my children through almost ten years of agony before we finally divorced.

Starting the next chapter of my life in my early 40s, I became empowered and pressed into my relationship with my heavenly Father, rededicating my life to Jesus. Up to that point, I felt like I knew God but had no real relationship with Him. During that season, I spent time in the wilderness with Him; it was the most beautiful and peaceful time of my life.

I wish I could say that I was fully healed and finally understood my worth and value in Christ, but I didn’t. I ended up marrying again to the man I am married to now. It’s been said that broken people attract broken people, but God is so merciful and loving and has a perfect plan for our lives. Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean we won’t go through pain, and most importantly, the refining fire.

That’s what the past thirteen years have been for me—a refining process. If you know the story of the silversmith and the spoon, you’ll remember how the silversmith holds the metal in the fire while all the dross (the impurities) fall off the metal. He knows precisely when to take the metal out of the fire—when he can see his reflection in it. God does the same with each of us.

Over the course of the past thirteen years, God has done so much for me. I went back to school for Integrative Nutrition, then started my own health coaching practice. I’ve been blessed to work with so many brilliant practitioners

in the field, gaining an abundance of knowledge. My passion has always been to help others, especially when it comes to their health and wellness. My grandmother and mother instilled the love of all things wellness in me when I was young, but God had to teach me that being healthy and well meant so much more than just having a nice physique and good physical health.

Almost four years ago, my family and I moved from New York to Florida; God was about to teach me something that would forever change my life. He introduced me to so many wonderful, godly people who taught me about inner/emotional healing. All the years I spent in fitness and medicine, we had never looked at the spirit and soul of a person. We would heal the body by fixing the symptoms, only to have them keep returning. But God showed me that I needed emotional healing. He helped me realize that my heart had been very broken when the abuse occurred when I was young, and from that, I developed self-worth issues and didn’t know how much my heavenly Father loves and values me. I spent years in counseling trying to get help—I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, I am all for good Christian counseling. But I’ve come to believe that there are some soul wounds that only God can heal. Your soul is your mind, will, and emotions (heart).

Jesus’s love for each of us is incomprehensible, even when we are at our worst.

Romans 5:8 (NKJV) says,

But

God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

That is the most powerful thing in the world: We are loved with the kind of love that would die for each one of us, no matter what. Giving my little life to Jesus back when I was in fourth grade was the best thing I ever did. He has never left me. And if you give yourself to Him, He will never leave you. I promise. But more importantly, God promises! And His promises are always true.

IN YOUR MOMENT OF JUDGMENT, WILL GOD OPEN THE DOORS OF HEAVEN FOR YOU?

LOVE LIKE JESUS

FEAR OF THE LORD

In my years as a Christ follower, I have often reflected on the words “Fear of the Lord.” As a child, I did not believe God existed. The evil I endured profoundly affected my life, causing me to think that if there were a true, loving God, He would not have allowed me to go through what I did. Once I accepted the love of my heavenly Father, I began to read the Bible. I was experiencing God’s love, but His words told me that I should fear Him. To me, this appeared to be a contradiction, and I wanted to understand.

Reading the “love chapter” (1 Corinthians 13), I saw all the characteristics of godly love. I had never experienced that type of love before. It took time to believe that I could trust God to truly love me unconditionally. To accept that He had my best interests at the forefront of His mind.

So what was He trying to communicate when His Word told me to fear Him? I knew fear. I knew it too well; I’d often sat in fear, learning to be still and not draw attention to myself. There were times I even feared breathing because it could alert my enemy to my location. So I wondered how it was possible to relax in the arms of a loving God and fear Him at the same time.

WHEN I PUT MY FOCUS

ON HIM AND HIS KINGDOM, EVERYTHING ELSE FALLS INTO PLACE.

When searching for the phrase “Fear of the Lord,” I found a plethora of scriptures, and I came to realize that in the Bible, “fear” is used in multiple ways and carries different definitions. One meaning is

reverence, or deep respect. Another meaning is dread, to greatly fear.

Putting those definitions together led me to this thought: God wants me to grow in my reverence for Him and respect for His power.

THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE INSTRUCTION OF WISDOM; AND BEFORE HONOUR IS HUMILITY.

PROVERBS 15:33 KJV

THEN YOU WILL UNDERSTAND WHAT IT MEANS TO FEAR THE LORD, AND YOU WILL GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF GOD.

PROVERBS 2:5 NLT

As my knowledge of God grew, my reverence for Him also grew. I came to understand that although He could open the earth and have it swallow me whole, He wants to love me into changing. God’s heart is that no one should perish—that we should live for eternity with Him in heaven. Still, He has laid down rules for us to live by, which are for our benefit.

When my thought process changed and I began to understand that fearing the Lord means having a reverent awe for Him, His power, and His love for me, I longed to follow Him with complete obedience.

Fearing the Lord stems from wisdom. He is my eternal judge. I often hear people ponder what it will be like to enter heaven, to meet Jesus face

to face. They say, “Oh, what a glorious day that will be!” I agree! It will be an incredible honor. But I have never heard anyone ponder what their moment with God, as our judge, will be like.

In your moment of judgment, will God open the doors of heaven for you because you have feared Him and claimed Jesus’ righteousness? Or have you missed the mark, lacking humility and leaning on the phrase, “A loving God would not judge me harshly”?

Because I know the peace that God brought into my personal being and remember the chaos I felt ruled my life, I can offer grace to others. When God places a person in my life who is annoying, exhausting, and has views different from mine, I have a choice to make: I can avoid them, or I can love them the way God has commanded me to, by praying for them, trying to understand what is influencing their behaviors, and meeting them with truth in grace.

I do not want to stand before God to find out the person I avoided was the person that He wanted me to interact with—the one He had chosen for me to share Jesus with. My fear of the Lord must be greater than my fear of what a mortal man may do. My obedience to Him may cost me discomfort, my job, friends, or money. But God is my provider for all things. When I put my focus on Him and His kingdom, everything else falls into place. Though it rarely looks the way I think it should, I am thankful I have a God who has my best interests in mind. No matter what happens to me, He already has a plan to work it for good.

I once was asked if I was prepared to die for my beliefs. I replied that death is easy; the difficult thing is to live for Christ every day. In reading the Bible, there are countless stories of God’s people being plotted against for destruction. What is going to influence your daily choices: fear of what man wants to do or fear of standing before God to give an account of your actions?

Empowering Lives Purpose with

A CALL TO SERVE

not a secret that this world is filled with distractions, darkness, and a roaring lion who is seeking to devour Christ followers. You are not alone if you feel that you are under attack for standing as a believer. We at Women World Leaders are dedicated to one important mission: making Jesus known. Our commitment to Christ is at the heart of everything we do, and we aim to shine a light in every corner, where darkness seeks to be the only thing known to a dying and lost world.

Our mission in Voice of Truth, as well as Women World Leaders, is to be leaders of influence. This calling is far greater than anything we can do ourselves; it can only be accomplished by Jesus Christ working through us as we obediently follow our Creator’s calling. We prioritize making Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, known as we align ourselves with the greatest mission of all time.

At Women World Leaders, we embrace this calling wholeheartedly, and we invite you to join us on this Great Commission. God has equipped each of us with gifts to serve and uplift others, and to share the love of Jesus everywhere.

OUR PLEDGE, WHICH WE READ AT THE BEGINNING OF EVERY MEETING FOR OUR FIRST TWO YEARS IN MINISTRY, STATES:

I AM A WOMAN WORLD LEADER.
ABOVE ALL ELSE, I WILL WALK INTIMATELY WITH GOD.

I WILL LIVE BY FAITH—PRAISING, PRAYING, AND READING GOD’S WORD DAILY.

I WILL HUMBLY BE WILLING TO EXERCISE MY GOD-GIVEN GIFTS IN ORDER TO HELP OTHERS DEVELOP THEIRS.

I VOW TO UPHOLD

MY SISTERS IN FAITH, WITH LOVE, THROUGH THE CHALLENGES LIFE THROWS THEIR WAY.

I AM A WOMAN WORLD LEADER!

As we strive to share God’s message, we can draw strength from Ephesians 3:20, which reminds us that God is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine (NIV). The scripture assures us that our efforts to make Jesus known will not go unnoticed; they will yield fruit beyond our understanding.

I invite you to join us in this beautiful mission. We can step into our calling and invest in the lives of those around us by sharing God’s love and grace. By participating in the mission of Women World Leaders, you can be an instrument in God’s hands, helping to bring His love and message of salvation through Jesus Christ to others.

I encourage you to boldly walk forth in faith and purpose, knowing that through our unity and actions, we can make a lasting impact in the lives of countless others. Together, we can make Jesus known.

Join us in this incredible journey of empowerment and faith. Let’s fulfill the greatest mission of all. Jesus’ final instruction to His disciples was to spread His message to all nations, making disciples, baptizing them, and teaching them to follow His commands—a mission He promised to support until the end of the age. This is the greatest commission of all.

Meanwhile, the eleven disciples heard the wonderful news from the women and left for Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had arranged to meet them. The moment they saw him, they worshipped him, but some still had lingering doubts. Then Jesus came close to them and said, “All authority of the universe has been given to me. Now wherever you go, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. And teach them to faithfully follow all that I have commanded you. And never forget that I am with you every day, even to the completion of this age.”

MATTHEW 28:16-20 TPT

El Roi... The God Who Sees Me

A Love Letter from God

Daughter, I am watching you and sensing you need some encouragement. I can see you are weary and trying so hard to keep things afloat. It’s the weight you carry. I took the weight of your sin long ago. Let me remind you that you are not alone. I want you to get to know me intimately. I desire to be your everything. Please allow me to come into the broken places and repair your heart, just as a potter works with his clay. I know that the pruning seasons are difficult for you, but once I have finished pruning, you will be stronger than before, and your roots will continue to grow.

My beloved, I SEE you and I want you. Take time to feel the sun on your face. That is me. Take time to see the trees. I created those for you. Take time to sit in the rain. I make the rain fall to refresh your soul. Don’t forget I am here. When you are in the valley, I am sitting criss-cross apple sauce with you. When you feel you cannot go another step, I’ll carry you. I am embracing you as a loving father embraces his daughter.

Even if you feel you have lost your way or chose the wrong path, know that I am a sovereign God. I will allow you to learn and grow, but I will not leave you. My plans for you are far better than you can imagine. I

I SENT MY SON FOR YOU. THAT IS HOW MUCH I LOVE AND CHERISH YOU.

want you to know that in this life, things will be tough for you. I will take you places you would not have chosen. I will allow you to experience grief, but that will reveal another side of my character to you. The truths you have hidden in your heart will be with you forever.

I know that this world is full of hurt and brokenness, but I have overcome the world. In John 16:33, I say to you, “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth, you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart because I have overcome the world” (NLT).

There is so much you do not understand; it is incomprehensible now, but I promise you, my child, that I see the end from the beginning, and I will make all things work together for my good. When you cannot sense or feel me, I want you to free-fall into my arms. My faithfulness will surround you like a mama bird protecting her chicks. Hide under my wings.

He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.

I have chosen YOU. I have created YOU. I value YOU. You are my prized possession. I could not be prouder of you. The joy I feel when I look at you surpasses understanding. I yearn for closeness with you, where you lay your head on my chest and allow me to hold you so intimately, a refuge for your soul. Stand firm in who you were created to be. I want you to be bold and courageous in my name.

Choose me. I sent my son for YOU. That is how much I love and cherish you.

My daughter, my beloved… run to me! I am waiting for you to surrender to me completely.

WE ARE THE HANDS AND FEET OF JESUS

For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

MARK 10:45 ESV

In a world that teaches us to constantly push for promotion, to judge our success through followers on social media, and to celebrate “winning” even at the cost of others, this scripture turns everything upside down. It calls us to humbly kneel lower, to love deeper, and to serve with the hands and feet of Jesus.

When I first entered recovery from years of addiction, I heard people talk about service work as if it were the heartbeat of their sobriety. I couldn’t quite wrap my head around why this was repeatedly pressed upon me. I could barely take care of myself; my world was so narrow and consumed by shame and survival. So, the thought of pouring coffee for a stranger or staying after a meeting to clean up chairs felt insignificant and yet so daunting. But, as days turned into months,

IN RECOVERY, WE ARE CALLED TO SHARE HOPE. NOT BECAUSE WE’RE PERFECT, BUT BECAUSE SOMEONE ONCE DID THE SAME FOR US.

and months into years, I began to understand that service wasn’t just about helping others—it was about God reshaping who I was becoming.

Service has a way of pulling us out of ourselves. Addiction shrinks the soul and isolates us until we believe we are alone and unworthy. But service expands the heart. It opens our eyes to the needs of others and reminds us that our stories, no matter how broken, can be useful in God’s hands. We discover that the very shame we once thought disqualified us becomes the bridge to connect with someone else who is in need of God’s love. Suddenly, the pain we wanted to erase becomes the testimony that whispers, “You are not alone,” and gives us the opportunity to love one another.

Scripture gives us the perfect example of why humble service is critical—not only in our recovery journey, but in how we grow and walk as Christians. We see this humble service in Jesus, as He kneels before his disciples in John 13, washing their feet one by one. When he had washed their feet and put on his outer garments and resumed his place, he said to them, “Do you understand what I have done to you? You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you” (John 13:12-15 ESV).

Jesus teaches us that service doesn’t have to be extraordinary to be holy. Sometimes it’s as simple as showing up, listening, and offering a smile. Some of my fondest memories on this journey to a new way of life are the times I visited recovery homes filled with people weighed down by fear of the future. I didn’t have all the answers. I simply sat with them, shared my experience, and listened to theirs. By the end of those conversations, shoulders relaxed, and hope flickered in their eyes—and in my heart as well. I didn’t fix their lives, but I reminded them that they weren’t forgotten. Experiences like these echo the parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10. He didn’t question whether the man on the side of the road deserved help—he simply knelt down, bandaged his wounds, and served him.

The paradox is this: the more we give, the more we receive. Not that we should ever expect a payout for our efforts, but because God has designed it this way. For me, some of my most profound spiritual blessings have come from moments of servitude. Service frees us from the prison of self-obsession. It gives us purpose when we feel

If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health issues or a substance use disorder, there is hope! Recovery is possible, and, as Jesus taught, “With God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26 NIV). For information on mental health issues or substance use disorder, visit the national website for Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) at https://www.samhsa.gov/ or call the national hotline at 1-800-662-HELP.

THE PARADOX IS THIS: THE MORE WE GIVE, THE MORE WE RECEIVE.

directionless and peace when we are tempted to spiral back into fear. Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35 ESV). In recovery, we find this to be more true than any other blessings we might receive.

Service is also how we carry the message forward. In recovery, we are called to share hope—not because we’re perfect, but because someone once did the same for us. When we speak our stories honestly, when we mentor someone in the darkness, when we live with integrity, we bear witness to God’s transforming grace. As written about in Acts, the disciples carried the good news across the known world, even in the face of opposition. They couldn’t keep quiet because the message was too powerful. We, too, are invited to live that boldly.

Today, service is the foundation of my recovery. Whether I am volunteering in the community through my nonprofit, Sober-Now, speaking in a recovery center, or simply being present with someone, I see every act of service as part of a calling. It isn’t always easy. Sometimes it’s inconvenient or even exhausting. But every time I press into it, I feel my recovery deepen and purpose strengthen. And the biggest blessing is when God allows me to see the fruits of those efforts blossom in others as they move forward on their paths.

Service also ties us back to the people who helped us when we couldn’t stand on our own. It becomes a way of honoring those who showed up for us in our weakest moments. Service work

reminds us that recovery isn’t something we do in isolation—it’s a shared journey of unity, built on the shoulders of those who came before us and extended as a gift to those who will follow.

James 2:17 tells us, Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead (NIV). In the same way, sobriety without service can wither. But when we weave service into the fabric of our days, it breathes life into everything. We are no longer people who were isolated and hopeless. We are part of something greater—a movement of hope, healing, and unity through the Holy Spirit. We are given the gift of opportunity to love more deeply than we ever imagined possible. We are, in fact, the hands and feet of Jesus. May we always use that gift, one day at a time, to enrich the lives of others and grow closer to our Lord and Savior.

When storms hit, most people run for shelter. But like the mighty bison of Yellowstone that charge directly into approaching storms, true leaders do something extraordinary—they run toward the chaos.

In these pages, twenty-three men share their raw, unfiltered stories of adversity transformed into opportunity. These aren’t tales of fearless heroes, but of faithful men who discovered that God’s strength is perfected in weakness. Each story reveals how ordinary challenges become extraordinary breakthroughs when faced with Biblical courage.

Jesus modeled this counterintuitive leadership—touching lepers, confronting injustice, and choosing the cross over comfort. He calls you to the same radical faith that turns setbacks into comebacks and obstacles into opportunities.

As storms come through your life, the question is: As the Unstoppable Leader God has called you to be, will you flee, or will you harness His divine power, Pressing Forward with Power?

Here I Am, Lord, Send Me

“Here I am, Lord, send me” has recently penetrated deeply within the hearts of those around the world, but even more so within me.

I’ve

been contemplating: How can I do my part in making Jesus known?

We all desperately long to walk in our God-given purpose. Having purpose is a willingness to serve fueled by a desire to make a difference in the world. Having purpose gives us hope.

For many, God’s call to action might include a public platform—preaching on stages, writing in books, leading a Bible study, or traveling around the world. However, I have come to understand that sometimes the greatest purpose God has for us begins in the most unexpected, small, and quiet places.

I recently started on a journey of homeschooling my two little girls. When I first considered this path, I felt overwhelmed and hesitant. The idea of teaching my children at home felt intimidating and scary. I didn’t feel qualified. Besides, I had always thought that once all five of my children returned to school full-time, I would work outside of the home. I was excited to explore fulltime ministry and considered furthering my education.

But as I spent time with God, He reminded me of the importance of my role within my family, and I began to understand that this could be my most pivotal calling.

God has a funny way of redirecting our paths. In this case, He opened a door I never asked to go through. In Isaiah 6:8 (ESV), the Lord asks, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” Isaiah responds, “Here I am, send me!” Sometimes our most impactful ministry begins where we least expect it. Often, that place is right inside the walls of our home!

God has called and positioned me to nurture my daughters academically and spiritually; the lessons we share go beyond textbooks. This calling is an extension of the ministry I always dreamed of. I am leading my daughters to Jesus, helping them to understand His love, grace, and purpose for their lives. Most importantly, I am raising up warrior women to enter the mission field for Him.

Although I may not see the immediate fruits of the seeds I am planting in the hearts of my children, I know that God is at work beyond what I can see. Generations to come will be impacted by the lessons my children are learning now.

I recently listened to a message on 2 Timothy 1:5, where Paul speaks of Timothy’s faith, which first lived in his grandmother Lois and his mother Eunice. The impact of our faith will be felt far into the future, inspiring family members we might never meet.

It’s easy to underestimate the importance of the small, seemingly insignificant acts of sacrifice and faith God calls us to, especially in the comparison world we live in. It’s also easy to think that unless our contributions are grand or come with big titles, they do not matter. But every act of love, every moment of devotion, and every prayer creates a ripple effect. One seed planted has the potential to grow into something beautiful that can make Jesus known far and wide.

God uses us both within our homes and beyond them. Our influence helps shape our families and those who are farther away than we can imagine.

God calls each of us differently. Perhaps He is calling you to lead a ministry or a home full of children. Or maybe both! Regardless of where God leads, we must be open to His call, understanding that our obedience may take many forms, and trusting that He will give us what we need to accomplish it all!

All for His glory. All to make Jesus known.

Embrace what God has brought you to, even if it feels small or insignificant. Like Abraham, who took a leap of faith with God’s promise in hand, you have the opportunity to impact those around you and those in future generations. Your work matters. Though it may not always be easy or glamorous, know that God is working through you, making something more beautiful than we can imagine.

We are called to be faithful stewards of His love in our homes and beyond. For me, that means serving in both Women World Leaders and in my home. Yes, in this season, homeschooling my daughters is part of my mission field, and I’ve promised the Lord to steward it well.

Do you, like me, long to make Jesus known? If you do, when you hear God say, “Whom shall I send?” respond with a willing heart, saying, “Here I am, Lord, send me.” Boldly embrace His instructions, knowing that you are advancing His kingdom in the best possible way: His way!

We are all part of God’s beautiful story. When we follow His lead, we can trust that He will orchestrate the ripple effects to impact the world.

Here I am, Lord. Send me!

Lauren Mueller • RESTORATION

After receiving my copy of Restoration, I couldn’t put it down. The very title alone stirred up excitement within me—who wouldn’t want to be restored? I know without a doubt that if God had not restored my life, I would not be sitting here writing these words today.

This book is powerful because of the testimonies it carries. The Bible reminds us that we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of [our] testimony (Revelation 12:11 NKJV), and I felt that truth come alive with every story I read. As I turned each page, I saw pieces of myself in the testimonies, and my spirit was stirred—if God could redeem and restore others, then He surely could do the same for me.

While on a beach vacation in Florida, I came across one story in particular written by Maria Dabe that stopped me in my tracks. As I read her testimony, it felt as though I was reading straight out of my own journal. The similarities between her journey and mine drew me in so deeply that I immediately snapped a photo of myself reading her story and emailed it to her right then and there. I wanted to express my gratitude for her willingness to share her restoration story, but even more, I felt led to reach out and connect. That moment marked the beginning of a new friendship.

After our email exchange, we soon connected by phone. From there, I asked Maria to hold me accountable in prayer, specifically for the desires of my heart to one day have a godly husband. Maria and her new husband, Brett, are living testimonies of what it looks like to surrender singleness to God. They invited Him to transform their hearts during their waiting season, and in His perfect timing, God brought them together. Now, they have a beautiful ministry dedicated to helping singles prepare for covenant marriage.

If you desire a covenant marriage, I highly encourage you to connect with them and explore their resources. Their testimony and ministry have not only impacted me but will bless countless others in their own waiting seasons. Next month, I’ll be joining Maria’s online class, where she encourages single women to embrace the waiting process while preparing their hearts for the covenant God has for them.

This journey of restoration has reminded me that God is always faithful, and He is more than able to redeem and restore every part of our lives.

All that said… READ THE BOOK!!!

Story

Maria Dabe • RESTORATION

Iwant to begin by celebrating a profound truth: Our God is a God of immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). His ways are higher than our ways, and His perfect timing often unfolds in ways we could never anticipate. This story is about how God worked in my life through a small act of faith, leading to a divine connection I had given up on.

In 2022, I received prophetic words that my personal testimony would be in a book and would bless many women. I’m a Brazilian with English as my second language, and the idea of writing a testimony felt impossible. I had no resources or connections to make this happen, but I held onto the promise. Little did I know, God was already at work, preparing a path I could not see.

The confirmation arrived last year when I met Kimberly Hobbs, who invited me to be an author in the book, Restoration. I shared my story, “Letting Go,” about the path God took me on from singleness in my mid-40s to covenant marriage, blessed and restored by the Lord. Being invited to share my story was a clear sign from God, and I was thrilled to obey. As I wrote, I had the option to include a contact link, so I created a new website and added it to the book.

After the book’s release in March 2025, I heard from women my story had impacted. But a few months passed, and I confessed a quiet doubt to God. Wow, God, I thought, no one has contacted me through my website. I guess my story wasn’t as touching as I thought it was. I dismissed the thought and shrugged it off, assuming that was the end of it.

Exactly one month later, something unusual happened. For no reason, I felt prompted to check my spam folder—a box I rarely open. There it was: an incredible and heartfelt email from a woman named Lauren Mueller, who lived all the way in Utah. As I read her words about how my story had touched her so tremendously, a wave of goosebumps washed over me. In that moment, I knew God was answering the doubt I had voiced a month earlier. He was speaking to my spirit: “Do not doubt my power. I am the God of divine connection, and this is just the beginning.”

I repented of my unbelief and was awestruck by our magnificent and good God. He knows exactly when to bring forth the fruit, and my experience confirms that He always does more than we can think or imagine.

My connection with Lauren was immediate. She was also waiting on the Lord for a covenant marriage, read my testimony, and was moved to join the Ready Set Go Experience ministry that my husband and I lead. She is now part of the second group of my workshop, Covenant Love—something that would not have happened if she had not read my testimony, proving that our testimonies are powerful. As it is written, A cord of three strands is not quickly broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12 NIV), a testament to the strength we find in Christ.

If you believe God is orchestrating something in your life, you are right. He never works for just one person; His ways are always better than ours, and He always multiplies. This divine connection, seeded through the faithful work in Restoration, is already bearing fruit and multiplying. Lauren’s testimony is proof that everything you do for God reaps eternal dividends.

Now, looking back, I see the beauty of God’s plan: my faithful walk with Him during singleness became a seed of hope for another woman. And now, married and united in covenant with my husband, we both walk in a shared purpose—to serve and advance God’s kingdom together.

Thank God, for He is so good! Amen.

Joey Libonati • HOPE ALIVE

I’mJoey Libonati from Pfafftown, North Carolina. I played baseball while growing up and graduated from Appalachian State University; afterward, I moved away from my family for work, finding my own path.

I’ve been impacted by a lot of things in my life, but the most recent events have hit me the hardest. For quite some time, I prayed to God, seeking my purpose and asking that He would bring a godly girl into my life.

God, in His goodness and grace, brought the sweetest person to me, and I have been impacted by her in a big way.

One remarkable aspect of her story is that she shouldn’t even be alive today. A few years ago, she survived a horrific car accident, being ejected through a glass window onto a busy highway. When I learned about this, I couldn’t believe it, especially since she gives God all the glory for her survival.

She shared with me that her mother wrote about her experience in a book titled Hope Alive, and she herself shared multiple times within her ministry and this magazine. I find it incredible to see God’s presence in her accident and in her life, and witness how she uses such a devastating experience to inspire others.

Her story has inspired me to want to share my own story and to see God in everything I do. I’ve been through many difficult things in my life, particularly concerning my father, and I won’t lie, I’m still dealing with those things.

My dad started getting sick the summer before I headed off to college. He was not himself, said weird things, and got confused at the most basic conversations. I knew something was wrong, but I just couldn’t pinpoint it or figure out what it was. I spent my whole freshman year of college isolated and depressed, choosing to drown my emotions with alcohol. Before I knew it, I was in a very dark place, severely underweight, and not taking care of myself. Without my dad, my life had no purpose. Then, I found out on Christmas break that my dad has Alzheimer’s Disease. The man I lived for is no longer the same.

My best friend to this day, Seth, gave me a book called The Purpose Driven Life on the first day we met. Without knowing me or my story, he approached me and told me God wanted him to give me the book. We like to say that it wasn’t Seth or me, but rather God Almighty. God worked through Seth to allow me to feel His love

ALL I NEEDED WAS A PURPOSE AND A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.

for me. It was the most empowering and powerful feeling in the world. I remember crying tears of joy with him. All I needed was a purpose and a relationship with God.

Not long after, my life started to take shape in the way God wanted for me. I am far from perfect, and still have a ton I am working on and need to be better at, but as long as I keep God first and get 1% better every day, I know I will be the man God made me to be.

I feel truly blessed to spend time with such a sweet, Jesusloving girl and to have the love and support of her mom, too. I am grateful for this opportunity to share what they mean to me in this magazine and how I’ve been impacted! I hope that one day I will be in a position to share my story, with the hope of inspiring others around the world.

Hope is more than thoughts of something you want to happen. Hope is an assurance, a steadfast and most certain anchor in your soul that solidifies the reality that God is your refuge. God is the source of our hope.

As you read the pages of this book, you will see firsthand how God brings Hope Alive to every person who is yearning for a reason to go on.

The stories and teachings in this book will empower you to cling to God and His promises, allowing you to spring into the light of hope. You will see the Sonshine of light beckoning as you burst from the same soil that once gripped you and hear God’s voice that will bring Hope Alive to your soul.

The Bible—Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow

Howoften do you read your Bible? The Bible is filled with history, prophecy, and words of wisdom. It provides insight from yesterday, is relevant for today, and can lead and direct our tomorrows.

The entire Bible, a collection of sixty-six books, was written over 1,500 years by over forty authors. It is the most popular book in the world, having sold more copies than any other book ever written. Why then do so many people dispute its authenticity?

Some of the very people who question the Bible’s validity often quote its words without even realizing it. Many popular phrases, memes, and sayings have deep biblical roots that go unrecognized. The words of Scripture are powerful, timeless, and filled with meaning that has endured for thousands of years. For example, you might hear someone say, “I should have seen the handwriting on the wall when I entered that situation.” This expression originates from the book of Daniel, chapter 5. During a great feast hosted

by King Belshazzar of Babylon, a mysterious human hand appears and writes a message on the palace wall. The prophet Daniel is summoned to interpret the words. Daniel explains that “Mene, Mene, Tekel, and Parsin” means that God had numbered the days of Belshazzar’s reign and was bringing it to an end (Daniel 5:26–28).

The writing on the wall was a divine message foretelling the king’s downfall. That very night, Belshazzar was killed and Darius the Mede took over the kingdom (Daniel 5:30–31).

The same God who works miracles today is the God of yesterday and tomorrow.

The phrase “as old as Methuselah” also comes from the Bible. Methuselah was the oldest recorded man in Scripture. Genesis 5:25-27 states: When Methuselah was 187 years old, he became the father of Lamech. After the birth of Lamech, Methuselah lived another 782 years and had other sons and daughters. Altogether, Methuselah lived 969 years, and then he died (NIV). Methuselah’s remarkable lifespan has made his name synonymous with great age.

In other parts of the Bible, we find the familiar phrase “eat, drink, and be merry.”

So

I recommend having fun, because there is nothing better for people in this world than to eat, drink, and enjoy life. That way they will experience some happiness along with all the hard work God gives them under the sun.

ECCLESIASTES

8:15 NLT

Today, this expression is often used to encourage people to live in the moment and find joy in life’s simple pleasures— recognizing that life is short and each day is a gift to be enjoyed.

The phrase “fall from grace” originally comes from Paul’s warning to the Galatians: For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace (Galatians 5:4 NLT).

In its original context, Paul was cautioning believers that relying on the law for righteousness separates them from the unmerited favor and grace offered through Christ. Over time, the expression has come to mean losing favor, a high position, or a reputation due to a misstep or poor decision.

While a fall from grace may occur in human terms, we are reminded that with God at the center of our lives, all things are possible. No situation is too hopeless for Him. God can transform despair into hope, and He can take a broken or sinful life and restore it, bringing glory to His name. The same God who works miracles today is the God of yesterday and tomorrow. His power is unchanging, and His Word is eternal.

NONNA’S CHUCKLE:

While talking with my 8-year-old granddaughter, I asked if she had heard some common quotes from the Bible. To my surprise, she was able to explain many of the biblical phrases often used in everyday situations. When asked to interpret eat, drink, and be merry, she replied without hesitation, “That’s easy— Keep Calm and Carry On.”

Once again, the wisdom of a child reminds us that the truths of the Bible can bring comfort and guidance, helping us to stay calm and carry on through all of life’s challenges.

The Bible’s words have not only been recorded for instruction and reflection, but they have also been spoken, written, and sung for thousands of years, influencing countless lives across generations. Scripture reminds us that the Word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12 NASB). This metaphor illustrates the profound power of God’s Word to penetrate the depths of our hearts, discern our thoughts and intentions, and provide guidance, healing, and hope in every circumstance.

In essence, the lessons and promises of Scripture are alive and active. They can restore life where there is brokenness, bring clarity in confusion, and strengthen us when we falter. Even when we experience setbacks, failures, or moments of weakness, God’s grace remains available. His Word reminds us that no fall is final when we place our trust in Him.

Don’t wait until you are as old as Methuselah or find yourself in a moment of crisis, facing a fall from grace, to read your Bible. The lessons, wisdom, and guidance in Scripture are meant for today—not just for the distant future or when life feels overwhelming.

Pay attention to the signs around you, like the handwriting on the wall, which reminds us to recognize God’s warnings and guidance before it’s too late. And remember, eat, drink, and be merry, not as a call to selfish indulgence, but to enjoy the blessings of life God has given us, finding joy and gratitude in each day.

Every day is a gift from God, filled with opportunities to grow in faith. Deepen your relationship with Him and live with purpose.

God desires a personal relationship with you right now—not someday, when circumstances are perfect—this moment. He offers guidance through His Word, strength through His Spirit, and hope in every situation.

Engaging with the Bible daily allows you to hear His voice, learn His truths, and apply His wisdom to your life. The Scriptures are alive, powerful, and relevant, capable of transforming hearts, restoring hope, and guiding us through every challenge. Don’t wait—open your Bible NOW, embrace God’s promises, and let Him lead you step by step in your journey.

FOLLOWING the SON

IT’S COMPLICATED

It was Christmas, and we had just pulled into the parking lot of a beautiful inn we were staying at in Sugarcreek, Ohio, when I saw this impressive sunset. We pulled over to snap a picture. It felt and looked like a gift.

During that week, I reflected on the familiar nativity story of Jesus’ birth. We like to think of the Christmas story—of the birth of our King—as a beautiful story all neatly tied up with a pretty bow. But the reality is, it’s complicated.

From the pregnant virgin hiding out at her aunt’s house, to traveling a long distance only to end up in a cold, stinky barn to give birth without all the frills, this story unfolds like an epic novel. Even though there were a few great gifts for the baby, His mother, Mary, definitely did not receive a proper baby shower. However, this miracle birth—the greatest gift to humanity—was a defining moment in history that forever changed lives then and now.

Many viewed the baby, Jesus, as a threat. Kings were jealous of Him and wanted Him dead, which eventually would lead to His brutal, unimaginable death on a cross. For my sins. For your sins.

Jesus died and rose again so that we may have eternal life with Him in heaven—think of this as a gift, a beautiful box tied up with a bow. All we have to do is believe and receive. Although it’s complicated, the simplicity is miraculous.

This year, if you have not yet accepted Jesus’ beautiful

gift of eternal salvation, I invite you to read the New Testament books of John and Romans. Pray to God for understanding. And reach out to someone with your questions; we are here for you at prayer@ womenworldleaders.com.

As the Bible teaches, your gift is waiting for you! Begin simply…

n Confess with your mouth that you are a sinner in need of the Savior.

n Ask God for the faith to believe that Jesus died and then rose from the dead.

n Accept Jesus Christ as your Savior as you graciously claim His gift of salvation.

n Commit to following the voice of the Holy Spirit through the ups and downs of life.

I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

JOHN 14:6 ESV

Planting Seeds and Harvest

Years ago, Every day we make many decisions. Do I get up or hit the snooze? Do I want coffee or tea? Do I go right or left? Do I speak or remain quiet? Many of those choices will make an impact on our lives at a later time, whether they are good or, maybe, not so good. The decisions made today can influence the outcome or what one reaps in the future.

A biblical truth—a proverb in the Bible—in 2 Corinthians 9:6 (NIV), teaches us: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Sowing means planting. Reaping means the harvest you receive from the planting. In more contemporary terms, the seeds of choices and behaviors you plant today will influence the outcome of the results you harvest in the future.

While thinking about the truth of this proverb, ask yourself: What kind of daily choices and decisions am I making? Are these decisions and behaviors resulting in a harvest of joy, strong relationships, satisfying

employment, faithful and dedicated marriage, and/or happy children who are loved and cared for? Do you look for the blessings of the harvest but do not find them? As you look back at the seeds you’ve sowed, what good decisions and behaviors did you choose? Is your harvest sparse due to bad choices?

Do not give up. Think about the choices you make. Galatians 6:7-9 reminds us: You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up (NLT). Check your actions to see the behaviors and decisions you choose. Are you:

n in relationship with your heavenly Father

n seeking Him daily in prayer and reading the Bible

n seeking to do His will

n using the gifts God has given you to serve Him and others

n surrounding yourself with other like-minded followers of Christ

n sowing good seeds such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control

These good seeds are known as the Fruit of the Spirit. If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, these spiritual fruits lead us in every part of our lives (Galatians 5:16-25 NLT). If you are sowing seeds of idolatry, envy, sexual immorality, jealousy, selfish ambition, and quarreling, there will be negative consequences to face as a result.

Carefully think through the choices you make each day. Keep planting seeds through challenging work, struggles, and sacrifice. Psalm 126:5-6 proclaims, Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy (NLT). Hardships can return a harvest of joyful bounty. God is faithful and promises hope and joy in future yields.

Remember, every seed or choice you sow is a seed planted for you and your family’s future. Teach your children the importance of their decisions and choices. Guide and direct them by example and let them see the bountiful harvest you reap by making good decisions.

The harvest resulting from following God’s will honors Him and results in plentiful blessings. Let your children and family blossom in love, abundance, and joy from your harvests.

MUSINGS ON THE BOOK OF JOHN

Some time after this, Jesus crossed to the far shore of the Sea of Galilee (that is, the Sea of Tiberias), and a great crowd of people followed him because they saw the signs he had performed by healing the sick. Then Jesus went up on a mountainside and sat down with his disciples. The Jewish Passover Festival was near.

When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, he said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?” He asked this only to test him, for he already had in mind what he was going to do.

Philip answered him, “It would take more than half a year’s wages to buy enough bread for each one to have a bite!”

Another of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, spoke up, “Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?”

I Need

Jesus,

You looked and saw all the people who were drawn to follow You out of Jerusalem at Passover. They wanted more of You, so they journeyed, like good sheep, behind You into the wilderness. Using a question, You prepared your disciples for a lesson. Being a good shepherd (one who always meets the needs of his sheep), your question called them into awareness of a problem. The question needed an answer. “What are all these people to eat?” They had faithfully followed, yet they had come unprepared, not knowing where Jesus was going, nor how far nor for how long, still, willing to follow Him, just like trusting sheep, confident in their shepherd.

Am I so willing? Am I so captivated with a desire to listen to my Good Shepherd that I will follow Him anywhere, knowing He is faithful to provide for me? Did the people wonder as well? Did they worry as they traveled, or were they so confident in Jesus that they had no need to worry as they followed? Did their kids complain or ask questions? Or did they even give that a thought? Were they so full of excitement or confidence or curiosity that it never even occurred to them to notice their hunger? Were they just so used to hunger that what Jesus may say or do mattered more than anything else? Was their excitement and desire that much greater than their practical physical nature that they took no thought of where they were headed and how they were to meet their needs? Was it even like Moses leading the people out of slavery into the wilderness, where God provided for them? Were they “bleating like sheep” or “murmuring” like their ancestors?

It was Passover after all.

The people were hungry for the promise of Passover. For rescue from the “Egyptians” of the day they lived in. They longed for a change. So they followed.

Jesus anticipated their needs and always had a plan before He even brought it to the attention of His disciples. He IS The Good Shepherd.

Lord, when I follow You, I never need to worry about my needs being met. You already have a plan. At times, I may be so ignorant of my own need that You may confront me with questions. Questions not meant for me to answer, but rather meant to provoke me and point out my need so that I can receive what You have prepared in advance for me.

Lord, in this time of neediness, draw me close to You. Let me follow You wherever You may lead me, confident that You know my needs before I ever think of them and You will meet each one beyond my expectation.

I pray now for those in need in my family, among my friends and acquaintances, and beyond, that we all will confidently follow You, hear You ask the questions, and listen as You point out our neediness so that we may turn to You confidently and expectantly for our daily bread.

The Principle of Sharing

Do I respond to Jesus’ question more like Phillip, Andrew, or both? What is Jesus bringing to my attention? Am I willing to do something about it? Do I expect that every question has an answer? Am I looking or listening for His possibility?

Phillip was shocked by the impossibility of the question. Andrew did not know what Jesus could do or would do, but he was willing to speak up with a basic appraisal of the situation. We have a handful, a basic dismal provision, how could this be enough? Without the blessing of Jesus, it is not enough. Without the blessing of Jesus, it is never enough. But with God...all things are possible. Andrew, all the disciples, and all the people experienced and learned from this great sign; Jesus, who had drawn a multitude out of the city, was able to feed all of them.

What does Jesus need from me? Like Andrew, when I have just enough to barely meet my own needs, am I like a child? Willing to share and give it to Him for His blessing for all? What little do I have today? Will I share with Him when asked? Will I remember His blessing and trust Him with what I have so that He is glorified by my faith in Him?

A Focus on Him

FOR HE HIMSELF HAS SAID, “I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU."

HEBREWS 13:5 (NKJV)

photo and writing by

Sunrisesand sunsets are daily masterpieces from God, a vivid reminder that He holds this world and universe in His hands, and He is in control. Sunrises are like getting a good morning welcome as we start our day, and sunsets are like a goodnight kiss from God as He puts the day to rest!

This particular sunset was taken with my cell phone on September 11, 2025—9/11—a day of national mourning for the 2,977 lives that were lost twenty-four years earlier during the horrific terrorist attacks on the United States of America. We were also mourning the loss of a great leader and evangelist, Charlie Kirk. Charlie was brutally assassinated just the day before for courageously speaking truth and sharing the Word of God, while he gave college youths an open forum to prove him wrong.

As I was taking photos of this majestic sunset, it grew brighter, bolder, and more spectacular. As the sun goes down, usually beams of sunlight radiate upward from the sun that is below the horizon. On this night, two shafts of orange sunlight were coming straight down from the clouds above, creating two pillars, and reminding me of the Twin Towers in New York City, which were attacked twenty-four years ago.

It was as if God was saying, “I have not forgotten you! I will never leave you nor forsake you!” It was so beautiful and humbling. It brought me to tears of praise.

It was also a reminder that we have to be bold and courageous like Charlie Kirk, sharing God’s Word, and standing for the name above all names, Jesus Christ, Lord of lords and King of kings. Even though the enemy tried to silence Charlie, and he tries to silence us, from speaking out, the truth and the name of Jesus can never be silenced!

Thank You, Lord, for Your reminder that You see us, You feel our pain, and You see our tears. Thank You that You are still on the throne and in control!

Through A Mother’s Eyes

God Is Working

Howeffective are our prayers? We tend to ask that question when we feel there are no changes or answers to our prayers. Many times, we pray and still feel as if we are not heard. However, if we are truly attentive—looking and claiming with expectancy—God gives us glimpses of how He is working.

Recently, it seems that so many of my husband’s and my prayers have required such continued diligence that we’ve started to become complacent. We pray, but I’m not certain we are praying with full faith and expectancy. As a reminder, we are told in James 1:6, But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind (NIV). Believing and being positive while pursuing God in our requests is not an option; it’s a must. So, I began looking for even the smallest signs while I claim victory in big ways. And I found that when we honestly search for God’s hand in any circumstance, we

will begin to recognize God’s faithfulness as He gives us small nuggets of encouragement, confirming He hears our prayers.

At times, I completely relate to the father in Mark 9:24, who instantly cried out, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!” (NLT). When looking at this scripture closer, we see that this father had asked Jesus to have mercy and help his possessed son, “If you can” (Mark 9:22 NLT). Jesus responds with the question, “What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Hear Jesus’ next statement clearly: “Anything is possible if a person believes” (Mark 9:23 NLT).

We pray for our girls, our family, our friends, and multiple ministries and leaders every day. There are always certain topics in our prayers because we believe in specific and intentional prayer. God is so gracious. He allows our conversations to contain content that encourages us—that’s Him assuring us that He hears our prayers, and He is working.

When God gives us a sign, He is saying, “Trust Me. I am working; it is just not complete yet.” We can be patient, trust Him fully, and KNOW He is working! We know that His timing, not ours, is best; so we must have confidence and believe. God knows that sometimes we must witness a gradual process to recognize His full glory. Still, waiting can be difficult because we live in a society that craves instant gratification. Our flesh wants an answer now, instead of trusting and relying on God regardless of what is happening around us.

Proverbs 3:5-6 reconfirms that we must lean on God; He knows best, and He will help and guide us—IF we allow Him to: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight (NIV).

No matter what the struggles or concerns of my heart are, I can trust that God is working. When I cry out for one or all three of our girls, He is working. Whether for one or all of our sisters, He is working. When I lift up my husband, I know God is working. He is at work in relationships, jobs, and businesses; He is working in marriages and taking care of his children’s health; He is working in ministry.

God is working!

Trust Him. When you pray, He will make a way for you to be the mom, wife, co-worker, and friend that He has called you to be. You can trust that our magnificent God—who created you, loves you, and walks with you every day—hears every one of your prayers. And He is always working, even when we can’t see it. Trust His heart.

Our stories are still unfolding.

“Children are seen and not heard” was normal. When we disobeyed, there were consequences. Somewhere along the way, I subconsciously translated that into my relationship with God: If I messed up, I believed I deserved punishment—not forgiveness. My go-to was, “I’ll do better. I’ll try harder.”

It took me years to understand that God doesn’t give us grace because we’ve done enough, but because Jesus already did.

In 2 Corinthians 12:9, Paul records the Lord’s response when he asked the Lord to take away the thorn in his flesh: Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness” (NLT). That verse used to make me uncomfortable. God calls us to operate in weakness? No, thank you. I wanted to be capable, strong, put-together—not someone who needed help.

But when we acknowledge that our striving will always be insufficient, leaning into God’s grace can give us wings to fly.

OUR EXPECTATIONS

Somewhere along the journey of adulthood—through motherhood, marriage, and ministry—I realized how easy it can be for women to measure our worth by our performance. When we don’t finish the to-do list, forget a commitment, snap at our spouse, or decline a lunch invite because we’re drained, we are tempted to label it as failure.

We might even say things like:

• “I should’ve done better.”

• “I’m not spiritual enough.”

• “I should be more patient.”

• “I should be more like her.”

Too often, we don’t just fall short—we judge ourselves for falling.

As women, we are often told to be bold and courageous—but also meek and gentle. Strong, yet submissive. Confident, yet humble. It’s no wonder so many of us walk around wondering if we’re getting it “right.”

We try to be good moms, good wives, good friends, good Christians… and when we fall short (because we certainly will!), the harshest critic is often our own voice.

But the truth is, knowing every mistake we would make, Jesus chose to absolve us by going to the cross.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us.

1 JOHN 1:9 NIV

My daughter is a hairstylist and makeup artist. She recently told me about a photo shoot she was working on. There were several women (who weren’t friends) booked back-to-back with the photographer. As they sat in hair and makeup, waiting for their sessions, a conversation unfolded. Instead of competition or comparison, there was celebration. These women lifted each other up, acknowledging the uniqueness of each woman. They created a safe place by being themselves, which led to a discussion about expectations—what the world or their bosses expected of them. Then, they talked about the expectations they carried of themselves and the pressure to “show up” a certain way. My daughter said each was vulnerable with the others about her own insecurities, but recognized the others’ value.

They were speaking life, extending grace. They were reminding each other—and themselves—of their God-given worth.

As she shared the story, I thought, This is grace in action.

God ’s grace gives us wings to fly.

WHAT GOD SAYS

A couple of years ago, I attended a healing conference. During a breakout session, the facilitator led us in what she called “two-way journaling.” She instructed us to take two different colored markers; one to write about who God is and the other to write what

At first, I froze. I tend to journal as if I’m writing prayers to God, not receiving words shifted. My hand started moving fast. I began writing what I heard from the Lord:

“You are loved. You are chosen. You are creative. You are a vessel I delight in using.”

In that moment, I wasn’t trying to earn grace. I was receiving it.

What would happen if we started speaking life over ourselves, instead of rehearsing our failures?

What if we stopped trying to be “good enough” and started resting in the truth that God gifts Jesus’ righteousness to us?

• Grace doesn’t excuse sin—but it does silence shame.

• Grace doesn’t lower God’s standards—it

• Grace isn’t a pass—it’s power, generated through the Holy Spirit.

Grace is certainly not weakness; it’s the strength that comes from surrender. Our surrender to God is the gateway to grace. Jesus says when we are weak, He is strong.

Sweet sister, when we fall, God will use it for our growth. So let’s give ourselves permission to celebrate progress. Our stories are still unfolding. God is not disappointed in the process; He is present in it.

When we allow grace to fill our hearts, God will show us how He sees us, and we will learn to speak life over ourselves as we fly into the purpose God has created us for.

Sons of the King

Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.

1 CORINTHIANS 16:13-14 ESV

Manhood Rooted in Faith and Love

Society would have you believe, Sons of the King, that who you are through the lens of your worth, identity, strength, and honor is based upon the statutes and achievements of the world. Society says you can’t possibly be a man unless you hold things down through aggression, physical strength, endurance, power that controls and does not empower, subservient attitudes, and overly ambitious conversations. The world says you can’t possibly be a man if you choose God over everything else, love your family, commit to a covenant, and endeavor to never give up on the promises of God, instead of chasing the potential of the world. Society asks, “ARE YOU A MAN?”, overlooking that a true man is marked by an attitude of love and faith vested in God and His promises.

1 Corinthians is a reminder of the foundation and solidarity that your manhood is rooted in faith and love. Sons of the King, your manhood is firmly rooted in your faith, not the fear of not meeting up to the benchmarks of the world that can so quickly devalue you and cause you to digress. NO! Stand firm, be strong, and remember to let all you do be done in love, as this is the evidence of true manhood.

Your faith is your shield and strength. Love anchors you to God and your family and friends, allowing you to reach beyond your own existence. You are a stallion of greatness, a lion of fierceness and power; your voice comes forth like the boldness of thunder, and your presence alone shelters. Sons of the King, you have been molded, fashioned, and formed from hands of greatness, royalty, and love. Who you are as a man will forever be embedded in the loins of ABBA. Sons of the King, stay watchful, stand firm, act like men, and never forget that your MANHOOD IS ROOTED IN YOUR FAITH AND LOVE!

VOICE OF TRUTH

A Line in the Sand

The photo on our cover is a creative depiction of Jesus’ drawing in the sand as told in John 8:1-11, when He deescalated a mob accusing a woman caught in adultery.

While we don’t know what Jesus was actually writing in the sand that day, His motions challenged the hypocrisy of those who were judging the woman as He paused before answering their questions, “Doesn’t Moses’ law command us to stone to death a woman like this? Tell us, what do you say we should do with her?” (John 8:5 TPT).

As Jesus paused, the crowd grew angry, insisting He answer them.

So Jesus stood up and looked at them and said, “Let’s have the man who has never had a sinful desire throw the first stone at her.” And then he bent over again and wrote some more words in the dust.

JOHN 8:7-8 TPT

The night after Charlie Kirk was martyred, I had a dream in which Charlie reached down into the ground and pulled up a white line. When I woke up, I asked the Lord the meaning of the dream, and I heard Him say to me, “A line has been drawn in the sand.”

Our world is filled with people who wrongly judge others, bringing tremendous pain and division. God highlighted to me that Christ’s forgiveness of the adulterous woman found in the above scripture was a correlation to my dream. The Pharisees were attempting to entrap Jesus through questions concerning judgment. Jesus silently stooped down and drew a line in the sand, making the Pharisees pause to consider their hypocrisy, before telling them that whoever was without sin should throw the first stone.

While He paused and wrote in the sand, Jesus showed compassion and forgiveness—attitudes we seem to have forgotten in today’s hectic world. Passing judgment on others and holding unforgiveness in our hearts is acting as if we ourselves have no sin. Yet, scripture compares even our goodness to filthy rags.

All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; We all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.

ISAIAH 64:6 NIV

Jesus did not condemn the woman for her sin, but neither did He ignore or condone it. He simply told her to go and sin no more. He gave us an example so that we can do the same thing.

The picture on the cover is of a cross in the sand that my husband drew. I believe the line in my dream represented the cross—Jesus’ gift of forgiveness to us. One day, we will all stand before God and be judged by Him; it is not our duty to judge each other here on earth.

Why would you judge your brothers or sisters because of their diet, despising them for what they eat or don’t eat? For we each will have our turn to stand before God’s judgment seat. Just as it is written: “As surely as I am the Living God, I tell you; ‘Every knee will bow before me, and every tongue will confess the truth and glorify me.’” Therefore, each one must answer for himself and give a personal account of his own life before God.

ROMANS 14:10-12 TPT

WHILE HE PAUSED AND WROTE IN THE SAND, JESUS SHOWED COMPASSION AND FORGIVENESS.

Jesus established a boundary between human judgment and God’s ultimate authority to judge. Whether we judge people knowingly or unknowingly, behaving as hypocrites, Jesus died on the cross to forgive us. He understands our faults and failures and gives us a chance to repent and turn the other way, just as He forgave the adulterous woman.

As we go out into the world as Christ followers, we must clearly draw a line of compassion and forgiveness in our daily walk. We must stand strong for the full gospel message of Jesus Christ, unashamedly drawing a line of truth in the sand for the “here and now.”

Share Jesus with others. Our own line in the sand is ours to figure out. I choose to live a life of obedience to God’s Word and His ways, accepting Christ’s compassion and forgiveness for my own sin, and encouraging others to follow Jesus and His Word. My dream was a reminder to me of this, and I thank you for allowing me to share it with you.

Young Voices Raising Up the Next Generation

Claiming Royalty

If experience leads to excellence, then I am average. But although my writing journey begins today, significant moments in my life have shaped the writer and woman I am now.

In January 2023, while driving on a major highway to work, my front left tire blew out. I remember losing control of the steering wheel as I swerved toward the median, avoiding colliding with the car next to me.

In an instant, my car was upside down, and the next thing I knew, I found myself in an ambulance. I later learned my car had flipped three times, and I was ejected through the passenger glass window. That moment could have easily been my last. My mom calls it the moment God decided to give me just one more breath. I call it a miracle.

I remember that day so vividly. After the accident, my eyes slowly peeled open. Lying on my back, I saw a man and a woman above me. I felt a tremendous pressure on the back of my head and asked them to take whatever it was off. They said it was there to protect my neck and that it must stay on. I worried about whether I was making sense and expressed concerns for my brain. The woman told me to calm down, assuring me I would be okay.

With the little movement I had, I nudged my head upwards and saw the window. I instantly knew where I was, but I didn’t understand why I was there. I had felt this uncertainty before; a year prior, I had a skateboarding accident that resulted in a concussion. When it first

happened, I felt confused about my surroundings, repeating the same thought without recollection of the one before.

I tried to stay calm, breathe slowly, and just be. With a clear mind, I was ready to face whatever would come next. Once I arrived at the hospital, I knew I had to be strong. Though I was still confused about what exactly had happened, I understood it was serious. After being in the X-ray room for what felt like too long, I was finally able to take off the neck brace. Thank you, God.

The doctor came in shortly after. The glass from the car windows had ripped up my back, making it resemble “frayed jeans.” My head was also badly cut, resulting in twelve staples placed in my scalp—without a tear shed! I had fractured my ankle and scraped my knees. The accident should have been fatal, but being unconscious had made my body less susceptible to injury.

changed, and I’m so glad it did. That day, I chose to no longer just survive.

I wanted to live.

But what is my purpose?

My mom has written for several Women World Leaders books, and she asked me to write for her, including about my car accident. Even before I discovered my own voice, she shared it through her writings. Through my mother’s work and her belief in me, I finally began crafting my own abilities and using my own voice to inspire others.

the moment God decided to give me just one more breath.

My writing was praised for its beauty and potential, helping me realize that what I have to say is important, helping me see my worth. I now use my gifts for God’s purpose, to help others. Maybe even I will use my voice to sing one day, too!

The accident occurred because I had put off getting a new tire. Maybe it was all because I needed a wakeup call. Regardless of why, something inside me

Before the accident, I spent my time waiting for life to magically get better. However, God laughed and threw me out of a car. Not because He is a mean God, but because He needed me to really trust Him with my whole life, not just part of it!

All along, God had a bigger plan for my life, and He gave me the miracle to keep living.

I learned that experience doesn’t make you excellent unless you are determined to rise above being average and do something good with it. In God’s eyes, we are all above average—we are royalty! I am grateful to God for helping me find my voice and my worth in Him, and I am excited to serve Him as I continue to grow in my faith. Thank you to this awesome ministry for providing both my mom and me with a space to shout of His goodness.

Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Choices That Impact Us

Are our lives shaped by the collection of our choices or by our lack of choices? This is a question I often ponder.

During the healing process from my accident, I became restless. I found myself in a situation where I had no choice but to lie around in a life I wasn’t proud of. During this time, I reflected on the poor decisions that had led me to that moment, leaving me dissatisfied and ready for change. With bandaged wounds and a fracture boot on my foot, I started picking up shifts at my waitressing job. Though they told me to sit still and answer phones, I was ready for more. I had a new kind of energy with a passion to do more. As I worked diligently, I began to care about important things—like credit and money management, education, and making my life better. I also wanted to make God proud. He saved my life!

After managing my money well for two years, I decided it was time to expand my knowledge—especially my writing knowledge—and opportunities by continuing my education. God knew this would happen one day. And my mom always knew, too.

It hasn’t been easy. There have been bumps, setbacks, and countless excuses, but I never gave up hope. Reflecting on my accident, I now realize it wasn’t a miraculous “all of a sudden” change after all. All along, God had a bigger plan for my life, and He gave me the miracle to keep living. He gave me another breath.

Every day, we are faced with choices that can either help or hinder us. I no longer choose to set myself up for failure. Instead, I make decisions that my future self will thank me for as I live a life that honors God and helps others! Finally, I’m reaping the benefits of my good choices, and it feels amazing—like a well I never want to stop climbing to and drinking from.

As we go through life, whether our collection of choices is vast or slim, we always have choices to make. And what we decide will shape our future. I hope you choose wisely. A wise choice always begins with seeking God’s will.

Choose to live. Choose God.

PSALM 37:4 NASB

Healing Heart Soul and

THE GIFT OF TODAY

Iremember lying in bed on Sunday nights, staring at the ceiling, my chest tight with anxiety and thoughts racing. The week ahead loomed over me like a storm cloud. There were meetings I didn’t feel ready for, unresolved problems, and conversations I was dreading swirling around in my head. Before the week had even started, I felt defeated and afraid. Instead of resting, my thoughts raced with all the “what ifs.” What if things didn’t work out? How would I get through it? My heart longed for peace, but my mind just couldn’t quiet down.

Whether it’s worrying about how the bills will get paid, what news the doctor might deliver, what challenges await at work, or anything in between, the weight of uncertainty can make you dread the day ahead. I’ve had seasons when I didn’t even want to get out of bed, because getting up meant facing problems head-on. I convinced myself that if I stalled my morning, avoided the conversations, or ignored the issues long enough, the load might feel lighter. But avoidance never erased the reality—those same problems were still waiting, and they only grew heavier the longer I tried to hide from them.

The Israelites experienced this same struggle when God brought them to the edge of the Promised Land. Instead of stepping forward in faith, they let their worries about the future overtake them. After hearing the spies’ report about the giants in the land, fear convinced

WAKING UP TO A NEW DAY IS A REMINDER THAT GOD IS STILL WITH US.

them it would be easier to turn back than to face the unknown ahead. But avoiding God’s promise didn’t make their problems disappear—it only delayed their breakthrough, leading them to wander in the wilderness for forty years.

As I reflect on the moments of worry and concern, I am reminded of how the Lord got me through every one of those situations—even if the rescue didn’t happen the way that I expected. Although waiting for a breakthrough may not have always been pleasant and fear tried to overtake me, when I looked back, I realized that God had given me just enough grace to get through each day. I had to remember that He never asked me to carry tomorrow’s troubles today—He’d given me the gift of today.

There are many instances throughout the Bible where we are reminded not to worry about tomorrow. Jesus taught us,

“But

seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow,

for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Jesus forewarned us not to worry about material needs but instead to trust God to provide. He emphasizes that God is a provider and even confirms that each day is full of its own set of challenges; therefore, we should not be concerned about what tomorrow brings.

In the times that we live in today, there is so much trouble. From school shootings to natural disasters and political unrest, we are hit with an abundance of pandemonium that adds to our already complicated lives. Allowing those situations to take root in our minds can cause us to lose sight of the blessings that God has in store for us. They can also cause us to miss the message that we need to receive, just as in the story of the Israelites. They ignored God’s promise and focused on the fear of the unknown, and by doing so, their blessing of the Promised Land was delayed by forty years. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want fear and avoidance to cause me to miss God’s best, or end up with a forty–year setback!

So, what is the gift of today? It is God’s fresh grace and mercy for the very moment we are in. Even when the obstacles seem overwhelming, He has already equipped us with what we need to endure this day. Sometimes all we can do is open our eyes, take a deep breath, and thank Him for allowing us to see another sunrise. But even that is no small thing. Waking up to a new day is a reminder that God is still with us, still faithful, and still writing our story.

Tomorrow is not promised to us, so why overwhelm yourself with what might be dreadful or what might not work out? Instead, focus on the facts, which are:

● God is a provider and cares for you.

● God will never leave nor forsake you.

Exchange your worries and concerns for the gift of today He offers. And move forward with peace and reassurance that God will meet all your needs.

VOICE OF TRUTH

A Beautiful Mess

THE DAYS ARE LONG, BUT THE YEARS ARE SHORT.

Itis hard to believe my oldest daughter is a senior in high school this year! The finish line of her homeschooling education is looming in the distance, and I’ve found myself filled with the heavy emotions of nostalgia.

Recently, I was randomly going through my phone notes when I came across a letter I had written in 2018, titled “Dear Homeschooling.”

I have no recollection of writing this, but as I sat there and read it, I couldn’t help but shed happy tears.

I wanted to share with you what I wrote seven years ago:

Dear Homeschooling,

I’ve been dissing you a lot lately, and I’m sorry about that. We had a rocky start, you and me. Honestly, I thought we’d get along a lot better! Homeschooling, you stretch me—and not in a yoga kind of stretch way, but more like a filling-a-water-balloon-just-to-the-point-of-explosion stretch.

Every day with you requires more prayer, more patience, more creativity, more messes, more self-discipline, and more screaming corrections than I’d ever imagined! Homeschooling, you take a lot out of me. But I need to tell you something else. See, I am in year FIVE of this journey with you, and I have been reflecting while cleaning up these atrocious messes and…well, I owe you thanks. Because of you, my children are very best friends. All three of them—what a precious gift you’ve given us! Because of you, we get to have quality time together. Yes, that also means more time to poke pencils at each other’s kneecaps and dump sand down one another’s shirts, but overall, from all this quality time, we are deep, true friends. So, thank you.

And another thing. Thanks for my second education. Was my first education so dreadfully lacking in my bachelor’s degree, or do I just not remember how stunning the human brain is? Or how inexplicable it is that men dragged rocks to build pyramids over hundreds of years? Without you, let’s be honest—I wouldn’t be reading books about volcanic rock, discovering Rhode Island’s state bird, or tinkering with magnets. I just wouldn’t. But it’s all so very fascinating what you’ve been teaching us. Come to think of it, thanks for all that reading time, too! You’ve reminded me that a good story is a good story whether you read it at age five or thirty-five. We’ve read by the fire, in the sand, in the backyard on blankets, and even in forts and trampolines. We’ve read and laughed, and we’ve read and cried. Okay, that was me—I cried, and they laughed at me. But still, Homeschooling, these books are great. What a joy to read them with my kids snuggled up beside me!

Thanks for drawing us outside, Homeschooling. You know, when I was a student, I always looked forlornly out the window. It seemed so unfair that we were in cold metal desks under fluorescent lights. I now love reading on the back porch with you. I love being able to sprint outside to see some spider webs, feel if it’s raining, chase the squirrels out of the bird feeder (again), or spy on the robin who still hasn’t hatched her eggs.

Homeschooling, thanks for all of the extra things we can fit in our day. We can sit on a couch under a fuzzy blanket on a Tuesday—just because. We can bake together. We can play checkers. We can make Valentine’s Day cards for the neighbors, we can write our Compassion kids in other countries, or we can paint flowers with watercolors (and crumple it up when it’s just not right and start again). Since I’m just not one of those Super Moms, who would fit these things in the smidgens of the afternoons and weekends, I need you, Homeschooling.

Homeschooling, you give us so many gifts, but the greatest one is time! I am such a hurried person. So preoccupied, so distracted. I shudder to think how rushed and busy our family would be without you in our lives. You make me sit still. You make me look at my children—to watch them as their little brains process all of God’s creation.

You give me six more precious hours in the day to know them, to tell them, “Good job, Buddy!”, and “Way to go, Girl!” To stand next to them while they do it again, and to scratch their little backs while we read. Homeschooling, you give us a precious gift. You have taken my time away from me in so many ways, but you give it back by allowing me to pour it into my little ones. For this gift, I will ever be grateful.

Love,

Me, The Mom Trying to Survive

Homeschooling families, the days are long, but the years are short. This journey has had its challenges, its hard days and messes, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I am overwhelmed with gratitude as I look back over the past eleven years and all the extra hugs, cuddles, talks, laughs, and moments I got with my kids because we were a homeschooling family. My heart is forever thankful!

No matter where you are in your journey, remember, parenting is a gift, so steward it well. And remember, “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.” Enjoy God’s gift to you!

Dear Sister Dr.Jia

If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You.

PSALM 139:18 NKJV

Dear sister,

Resting in God is rewarding. The pleasure of being in a safe place in God is restoring and complete, unlike anything else life can give you. Nothing compares to what we have when we give God our yes and share in His love. Each time you awake, you are still with Him. He is the restorer of your soul. He is the keeper and provider of your dreams and visions. He is the constant fill to the overflow of the rivers of living waters that run deep.

God is the peace that surpasses your understanding when everything around you is unsettled. He is your closest embrace and brightest light in the darkest moments. You are His tabernacle, where He dwells and covers you with His presence.

Can you truly trace how much God has shown His love and demonstrated His thoughts toward you? Can you count the number of times He has protected you, provided for you, and guided you with His hand without failure? No black book or tallies are needed; you would be counting forever because God will always continue loving and adoring you. God will never fail you, from dusk to dawn and season to season.

Love You,

BESIDE STILL WATERS

I am never alone

I am never alone

Lord, I can feel like the world is falling apart.

I can feel like my own world is lacking so much of what my heart desires, dreams once dreamt not fulfilled, and thinking, “it wasn’t supposed to be like this!”

On the battlefield of daily living

Shots are fired

My thoughts become shattered and torn into a million little pieces, certainly not focused on heavenly things

Worry

Disappointment

Heartache all around

I feel closed in and surrounded by the darkness

A broken marriage

A child’s addiction

Loss of a loved one

On the battlefield, where the enemy is a t work to take people out

A diagnosis

Financial stress

Loved ones not accepting the invitation of our Lord and Saviour

Waiting

A call for patience and trust in our God

In the meantime, fiery arrows continue to come from every angle

Yet, I am not alone I know this, but I must live like I know this

Be still, God is near He never leaves us, do not fear He never disappoints, for He knows best and is working all things for good

I am never alone

Lord, replace my feelings of loneliness with the knowingness that God is for me and never against me, no matter what happens in this temporary world

Heal my worldly emotions that rise in my heart to eat up my joy, peace, and the steadfastness of my faith

God will never fail me

He will never reject me

He goes before me and has a good and perfect plan for me

He will guide me; I only have to hold His Hand

He will comfort me; I only need to sit at His Feet

He will reveal His will for my life; I only need to fully surrender to Him

I may be passing through the turbulent waters of trouble

Or walking through the deep valleys of doubt

Or facing fires where the heat seems too much and depletes all within me

I am not alone

I will look toward Jesus, right into His loving eyes

I will read His Word that strengthens me, the Rock upon which I stand I will sing to the One who is Holy and knows me by name

Every day God gifts me presence on this earth, I will be reminded He is here with me, for I am never alone.

GROWING YOUR PRAYER LIFE

Prayer is simply talking to God. He’s always saying, “I’m here. I’m listening.”

It doesn’t have to be fancy or perfect—just honest. You are just showing up.

Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you (Jeremiah 29:12 ESV).

Before you start praying, take a moment to slow down. Invite the Holy Spirit to guide your thoughts.

“Be still and know that I am God.”

Tips for Growing Your Prayer Life: n SET A TIME

And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed (Mark 1:35 ESV).

Even Jesus made time to be alone with His Father. This is a powerful example for us. Life gets busy—especially as moms. But setting aside time to sit with Jesus is essential. Whether it’s early morning, nap time, or before bed, having a regular time to pray helps us stay grounded, refreshed, and connected to God.

GOD ISN’T LOOKING FOR PERFECT PRAYERS.

HE’S SEEKING YOUR HEART.

It doesn’t have to be long or perfect. Just consistent. Just intentional.

n BE CONSISTENT

Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually! (1 Chronicles 16:11 (ESV).

Prayer takes effort. It’s a daily choice. You won’t always feel like it, but the more you show up, the more you grow.

n PRAY WITH POWER

God’s Word is alive—it cuts deep and speaks truth.

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12 ESV).

Want to pray with confidence? Use Scripture. Memorize it. Speak it. Let it shape your prayers and fuel your faith.

n PRAY BELIEVING

And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him (Hebrews 11:6 ESV).

Prayer isn’t just talking into the air—it’s connecting with a real, loving Father. Faith opens the door; believe He hears you–believe He cares. That’s when prayer becomes powerful.

n

WRITE IT DOWN

And the Lord answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay” (Habakkuk 2:2-3 ESV).

Keeping a prayer journal is a great way to track your journey with God. Write down your prayers, your thoughts, and how God answers. It’s your personal testimony in progress—and a reminder that He’s always working.

Let’s be people who pray. Not perfect prayers — just honest ones. God listens. He responds. And He moves.

Take a few quiet moments to reflect. You can write your thoughts in a journal or simply talk them through with God.

1. When do you feel most connected to God in prayer?

2. What tends to distract you from prayer?

3. Are there patterns or habits that pull you away from spending time with God?

4. What’s one area of your life you want to bring to God more consistently?

5. What Scripture speaks to your heart right now?

6. What does a “faithful prayer life” look like for you in this season?

Final Encouragement

I want to encourage you to develop a good, solid prayer life—one that you’re growing and nurturing daily. It’s a journey. A process. And like any relationship, it takes time, grace, and patience. You won’t always feel like you’re doing it right. That’s okay. God isn’t looking for perfect prayers—He’s seeking your heart. Every time you show up, you’re learning. You’re growing. You’re drawing closer to Him.

So, keep going. Keep praying. Keep believing. YOU’VE GOT THIS!

More of Lord You,

EVERY EGG IS GOD’S CREATION!

Recently, I have seen many individuals discussing a coming revival. Their anticipation surrounds the belief that there will be a spiritual awakening—a deepened sense of God’s presence, followed by the repentance of sins and a pursuit of holiness, which would cause an influx of new believers looking to join a local church congregation.

Thinking about this makes me wonder if the church is ready. Are we prepared to change the way we conduct our services to accommodate “outsiders”? Many of us have become so comfortable in our surroundings and routines—I know in my church, people can be uptight about someone sitting in “their” seat! We often joke that a great fundraiser would be selling personal seat licenses.

Are we ready for change? Am I? Are you willing to let God stretch you beyond your comfort zone? I’ve been asking God for guidance on how to help churches be ready to welcome those

who do not fit the mold of the church-goer who seems to have it all together. I am speaking of those broken by life and desperate for something different, whose pursuit has led them to the doors of your sanctuary.

Years ago, I walked into a church expecting to be rejected; I lasted several months before I stopped trying to fit in. I knew I did not act like the church members. I certainly didn’t look like them, and I was judged by my outside appearance. I was confused to look at—was I male or female? I looked like one but dressed like the other. I was not welcomed, and I was frightened—aware of the stares and discussions about me happening behind my back.

Years later, it still grieves my heart that Christians, who are to love like Jesus, often judge others because of how they look on the outside.

Recently, God started talking to me about eggs one early morning. It was 3 AM; I was not interested in a discussion about eggs! I saw two eggs being held gently. God asked me what the difference was between the two white eggs. I began to realize we were going to discuss eggs, so I’d better put thought into my answer.

I stared at the eggs and could not see any differences; they looked identical. Then God pointed out that the first egg was raw, untouched, and the second was hard-boiled. Both eggs needed to be held carefully to prevent them from dropping onto the floor, as each would crack on impact, but with different results.

If left to fall, the raw egg would spill out everywhere, creating a mess. It would quickly spread into the crevices of the floor, damaged beyond repair. Ruined. If the hard-boiled egg hit the floor, it would also crack; however, the contents inside would still be intact. It would not need to be discarded and would still be edible, but the cracked shell would leave the contents at risk of being invaded by bacteria and becoming rotten. This would cause the damaged egg to have less time to safely sit on the shelf before being consumed.

WE ARE CONSTANTLY BEING PERFECTED BY OUR LOVING HEAVENLY FATHER.

And then there are the eggs that are freshly laid by a hen, unlike those we buy in a supermarket, which have been cleaned up and made appealing to our eyes. Imagine the horror of opening a container as you prepare to cook and seeing unwashed eggs! They could be covered in chicken poop, have a few small feathers stuck to the outside, and… could there be traces of blood? How quickly would that messy outside appearance cause you to lose your appetite for an omelet?

Now, think of the new person who enters the sanctuary of your church. Yes, they might be messy, like the unwashed egg. Unappealing to your eyes with uncombed hair or clothes with stains; they may even have an odd smell. Wouldn’t it be natural to question why they invaded the service? After all, everyone can see how unprocessed they are.

Take a moment to imagine that same scene through the eyes of the newcomer: They open the doors to the container and see dozens of washed, perfect eggs staring back at them; all clean with no visible cracks. But even these “perfect” eggs are raw inside; they are in a natural state, yet are still being processed by God. No matter how shiny we look on the outside, on this side of heaven, we all fall short of the glory of God. We are constantly being perfected by our loving heavenly Father.

ARE WE READY FOR CHANGE?

Here is the good news: God is not asking you to take that new, repulsive-looking egg and clean it up. He will handle the washing. He will get the imperfections out. But we do have an obligation: We are to accept the egg and help her see Jesus. We can give her a safe place to focus, not on her present condition, but on the future God longs to provide for her. We can gently hold onto her, not allowing her to drop, and assuring her that she has a place in the container we call God’s church. We can be there for her when she doubts that she belongs, holding space for her, because her presence—or lack of presence—will be noticed.

I

WAS JUDGED BY MY OUTSIDE APPEARANCE.

I pray you have a firm grip on your relationship with Jesus; if you don’t, seek God in the Bible and in prayer, because He has work for you to do. God is bringing more dirty and unappealing eggs to His church, and they need other flawed yet faithful eggs to invite them into Jesus’ presence. God calls us all to community as we build our foundation on Christ.

The question you must consider is: Will you allow God to work out your discomfort while He cleans up other unappealing eggs? Or will you reject His treasures, allowing them to fall to the ground and become ruined because of the damage you have inflicted or have failed to guard against?

I pray that you reach out to the Lord and say, “I need more of You, so that I can be Your hands and feet here on earth.”

Allow God to work through you as you hold His people, ALL His people, with enough care to protect them and enough gentleness to allow them to grow closer to Him. Because isn’t that what we all need? We all need more of You, Lord!

General of Joy

HOLIDAY SCHMOLIDAY!

You are not alone.

Several years ago, after walking away from my nice nursing job, I found myself standing in a Kohl’s department store crying because we couldn’t afford to buy a snowman Christmas cookie plate! I was not used to not having the provision to be able to get some of those items that make the Christmas season more festive! I was actually crying. OK, it wasn’t all about the cookie plate; it was more about the lifestyle change that my flesh was having to overcome. But does my flesh really have to get over itself during Christmas? Can’t it ask me to get over myself during Labor Day?

In October of this year, the Lord told me He wanted me to give up watching television and movies for one year. I was thinking that it’s going to be simple because I’m so busy anyway. Who has time for TV, let alone watching a full-length feature film? Then the Lord really hit me over the head with a loving brick, “WHEN you get tempted to watch a Christmas movie…” Well, I never thought the Lord Almighty would mess with my Christmas… again!!!

Just because the holidays come around, we are not excluded from the challenges of sadness and heartache. And what about the holidays that arrive when we are walking through deep valleys of traumatic loss? Those valleys don’t end because it’s Christmas Eve!

Let’s take a look at a different holiday.

Jesus and his disciples were sitting around the table, about to enjoy their turkey, mashed potatoes, and black olives with their hands and feet clean… okay, not quite. Their menu was actually flat bread and wine. Then the “family conversation” that kicked in was about betrayal?!?! I can hear the voice of a mother somewhere telling her sons, “That’s not appropriate conversation during the holidays, boys!”

“I am not saying these things to all of you; I know the ones I have chosen. But this fulfills the Scripture that says, ‘The one who eats my food has turned against me.’”... When Judas had eaten the bread, Satan entered into him. Then Jesus told him, “Hurry and do what you’re going to do.”

JOHN 13:18, 27 NLT

What was a holiday preparation for most people was the lead into the most torturous weekend for our Savior. So does the Lord know what you’re going through as the holiday season is approaching? Yes, of course. You are not alone. “I tell you the truth, you will weep and mourn over what is going to happen to me, but the world will rejoice. You will grieve, but your grief will suddenly turn to wonderful joy. It will be like a woman suffering the pains of labor. When her child is born, her anguish gives way to joy because she has brought a new baby into the world. So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again; Then you will rejoice, and no one can rob you of that joy” (John 16:20-22 NLT). What you are going through right now will not always remain. Just as Jesus set the example of walking through darkness during the holiday season and attaining great victory in His resurrection, so will you!

So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again; Then you will rejoice, and no one can rob you of that joy.”

JOHN 16:20-22 NLT

My brain is such a funny place sometimes. I was just thinking about what the disciples and their family members must have been feeling just a year after Jesus was betrayed! Just imagine with me: It’s the following Passover. The family is back together, Mary is serving the food just like usual, and they’re all talking about how last year’s Passover was filled with so much drama! I can imagine one of the family members saying, “Ohhh, did you hear that Peter cut off Malchus’ ear? He won’t be forgetting that Passover!”

Another auntie saying, “It was like the lights turned on and all the disciples scattered like cockroaches into the night! Nobody could be found!” Another uncle, “Thank God Jesus rose! Am I right? Now pass the hummus!”

In this season, you may feel isolated and in the darkest moments of your life, but I get to declare good news to you: Jesus was betrayed during a holiday weekend, but He also rose from the grave in glory; when YOU emerge from your trial, people may very well not recognize just who you have become!

In this season of holidays, I want to make this available to you; right now, if you’ll email generalofjoy@outlook.com you are welcome to join in the “Getting through the holidays” with the General of Joy! Just email me your name, number, with the subject line “I’m in, General!” No matter when you are reading this, I’d be THRILLED to have you.

POWER POINTS: GOD AT WORK THROUGH WOMEN

LEADERS YESTERDAY AND TODAY

If mankind fails to realize God’s will and engages in destructive activities, God will punish us for the cardinal sin of refusing to believe in and fear Him. 1

Tamaki

Uemura described herself as a “woman who believes in and fears God.”

2 She had learned to believe from her father, one of the first generation of Japanese converts brought to Christ by Protestant missionaries in the 19th Century. A self-taught scholar, Mr. Uemura felt the call to ministry shortly after his baptism at age 16. He went on to become an evangelist and one of the most influential pastors in Japan. Perhaps because he had no opportunity for formal education, Pastor Uemura encouraged his third daughter to pursue higher education. Tamaki attended Joshigakuin Graduate School, Wellesley College in Massachusetts, and Edinburgh University.3

When she returned home to Japan, she was determined to follow in her father’s footsteps. She planted a church in her home city of Tokyo in 1931, and a few years later, Uemura became Japan’s first ordained woman pastor in the Japanese Christian Church. Tamaki also served with the YWCA, becoming their international president in 1938.

I’m sure living through World War II was difficult for Tamaki as a Japanese woman who had lived in the States and had many American friends. But then being a Christian has never been easy. Francis Xavier brought the teachings of Jesus to Japan in the mid-sixteenth century. Japanese people converted to Christianity, and churches were planted. But soon

the Christian faced opposition from Buddhist monks, and rumors spread that Christians were cannibals. The Japanese officials felt Christians were unsupportive of their imperialistic ambitions throughout East Asia. By the end of that century, foreign missionaries were expelled, and Japanese Christians went underground. In the mid-nineteenth century, it was discovered that “Christians had handed down their faith through the generations during the long years of harsh repression.” 4 These believers were living proof of Psalm 138:7, Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You preserve my life. You stretch out Your hand against the anger of my foes; with Your right hand You save me (NIV).

In 1946, after the war was over, Tamaki Uemura became the first Japanese person to visit the United States. When you consider that the Japanese had started the war by bombing Pearl Harbor, more than 120,000 Japanese Americans had been relocated and interned for the duration of the war, and anti-Japanese sentiment was still extremely high, making this trip took courageous trust in God. Ms. Uemura spoke to many Presbyterian congregations across the country about peace and reconciliation.

Upon returning to Japan, Tamaki presented a Bible (a gift of the National Council of Presbyterian Churches in America) to the Empress of Japan in June of 1947. As a result, she was invited to teach the Bible to Empress Magako and her daughters 5

Never one to be shy in expressing her faith and convictions, when the United States began testing the H-bomb in the Pacific Ocean, Uemura wrote a letter of protest addressed to Mrs. Eisenhower, the First Lady. She boldly stated:

But to continue the production of H-bombs on the reason that the Soviet Union does not agree to the American proposal [to put nuclear power under international authority] seems to me an act of men who do not believe in and do not fear God. Christians should first believe in God, and staff production of atomic weapons…switching entire atomic energy research to the benefit of peaceful industries, and the people’s daily lives . 6

Tamaki Umemura always spoke unashamedly of her faith in God because she feared the Lord, not people. The life of this woman world leader from a country that is at best indifferent to Christianity and at worst hostile and oppressive to it, encourages me to remember that when I face opposition, Jesus promises, They will hand you over to the synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors because of My name. This will give you an opportunity to bear witness (Luke 21:12b-13 CSB).

MEET Roberta Kay FROM PORT

ST. LUCIE, FLORIDA

A Divine Connection that Shifted Everything

It’s amazing how one shift in plans—one unexpected delay—can open the door to a divine connection that changes everything.

In early 2025, I wasn’t planning to attend the Kingdom LeadHERship conference. In fact, I wasn’t even registered. The event was originally scheduled for the fall of 2024, but due to a hurricane, it had to be postponed. What felt like a disruption was really a divine setup. When the new date was announced for January, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I needed to be there. God started stirring something in my spirit. I didn’t know exactly why—I just knew I had to say yes. That one “yes” opened the door to something so much bigger than I expected.

While I already knew many of the incredible women from ACBW (Association of Christian Business Women), this particular gathering carried a different weight. There was a fresh wind on it—a sense that God was doing something new and deeply personal. During that conference, I met Kimberly Hobbs and was introduced to Women World Leaders and Voice of Truth magazine. From the moment we connected, I knew this was more than a moment. It was a divine appointment.

I had just finished writing my first devotional, Closer to God in 40 Days, and I was praying for clarity about what was next. Meeting Kimberly brought that clarity. Her passion for empowering women, her authenticity, and her deep love for Jesus were evident from the start.

Women World Leaders felt like a perfect fit. It wasn’t about building a platform—it was about building people. It was about real people, with real stories, real purpose, and real impact.

Not long after that conference, I was invited to be a coauthor in Kingdom LeadHERship: Stepping Joyfully Into God’s Calling, and from there, doors just kept opening. Through Voice of Truth and the community of women I’ve been connected to, I’ve found encouragement, vision, and a deep sense of belonging.

The stories in this magazine aren’t just inspiring, they’re life-giving. They stir hope, spark faith, and remind women around the world that God is not finished with them.

"WomenWorldLeaders feltlikeaperfectfit."

The Word says, A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps (Proverbs 16:9 NKJV). What started as a schedule change turned into a heavenly connection—and I’m so grateful I didn’t miss it.

Thank you, Women World Leaders!

MEET Sarah Ann Goode FROM TEXAS

I’vealways said I’m an Israelite at heart, prone to wonder and easily forget God’s steadfast faithfulness. While reading Exodus, I easily identify with the skittish Israelites. They experienced God’s miracles up close and personal, yet wavered in their faith.

They were the chosen group who saw God part the Red Sea and were gifted manna rations from His heavenly hands. Yet they were also the people who grumbled and complained in hard times and questioned God’s guidance when they didn’t see the way.

Then, as told in Joshua 4:1-7, they were called to build stones of remembrance as a visual reminder of God’s presence and provision.

As a parent of two special needs children, I also crave stones of remembrance in my life. I need “manna for today” to remember that my heavenly Father is sovereign and still on His throne.

The summer of 2025 found me in the deepest pit of despair, rocked by circumstances I didn’t want and couldn’t control.

Yet through God’s design and goodwill, He connected me with Diana Brown from Women World Leaders before my world came tumbling down. She then introduced me to the kindhearted Kimberly Hobbs, who graciously sent me a copy of Voice of Truth.

As I thumbed through the 20th edition of Voice of Truth, I was immediately pointed toward the faithfulness and steadfast nature of the Lord.

Sure, my circumstances were bleak, but this magazine was a tangible reminder of God’s faithfulness. Woven throughout each page were stories of God showing up in the impossible and making a way for His children.

The same God who faithfully led the Israelites out of Egypt was still leading and guiding His people around the globe. As I read, the stories of hardship unfolded, and I felt a sense of kinship with the authors. I was reminded that, as believers, we are united by a common thread in Christ and that God is sovereign over all.

These stories were a testimony of a God who still saves, restores, and redeems. Nothing is too great for Him. Thank you, Women World Leaders, for sharing compelling stories as stones of remembrance that lovingly point to the goodness of our God.

MEET Lauren Mueller FROM SONORA, CALIFORNIA

After meeting Kimberly Hobbs through a mutual friend, I felt deep within that the Holy Spirit had orchestrated our connection for a purpose far greater than myself. Not long after, I received my first copy of Voice of Truth, and as I read the personal stories shared by the women featured in each article, my heart began to resonate with theirs. I found myself relating to so many of their experiences, taking time to reflect on each testimony.

A few months later, I had the honor of joining a writing group for a book titled Building Kingdom Wealth. It was in this group that I met Dee Miller—a woman whose story is truly heart-stirring. Her testimony is one that will resonate deeply, especially for anyone struggling with issues of identity. I encourage you to read her story and share it with anyone who may be facing similar challenges. From the moment I connected with Dee, I knew there was something special about our bond, and I can’t wait to meet her in person.

MEET Donna Sawyer FROM HOLLAND, MICHIGAN

My Journey to Women World Leaders

At the Crafted with Purpose Create Retreat this past April, I had the joy and privilege of hosting 55 women for a transformative time of connection, creativity, and spiritual growth. It was here that I had the unexpected joy of meeting a woman who would soon become a profound influence in my life—Diana Brown. Our paths crossed in a way that can only be described as divinely orchestrated, and it all began with a celebration at the retreat we called the “Pink Party in the Garden.”

The theme for the evening was inspired by the Garden of Eden, where God first dwelt with Adam and Eve as He proclaimed His desire to dwell with us now and for eternity. We were celebrating God’s presence in our lives, and the retreat attendees were invited to dress in their best pink attire. To my amazement, Diana showed up in an incredible pink jumpsuit; she radiated joy from head to toe! With an exuberance that could only be described as infectious, she almost ran to the stage to claim her prize for the “Best Pink.”

Diana’s energy captivated me; I thought, “I need to get to know this woman.” After the retreat, I reached out, and she graciously invited me to dinner.

In the days leading up to our dinner, I found myself wrestling with a pivotal decision for my upcoming book, REACH. The book centers on a soul rhythm of reaching for Jesus, and I had been prayerfully considering a flower graphic to accompany each chapter. After much thought and prayer, I sensed that God was leading me to the sunflower as the symbol for the book. I asked God for a clear confirmation, and when I stepped into Diana’s home that evening, I was greeted by a stunning sunflower picture that felt like a divine answer to my prayer, a clear sign that I was on the right path.

Then, as I entered the kitchen, I saw a field of sunflowers: on the plates, in the decor, everywhere I looked, sunflowers in full bloom greeted me. Diana smiled and began to share with me the profound nature of sunflowers. She explained that sunflowers turn their heads from east to west every day, following the sun as it moves across the sky. As they mature, they settle their heads facing east to capture the warmth and light of the sun first thing in the morning, setting them for the day ahead. And on cloudy days, when the sun is hidden, the sunflowers turn toward each other, seeking the support and strength of their neighbors.

I sat there in awe, thinking, What? Are you kidding me? It was as if God Himself had orchestrated this moment just for me. I was overcome with a sense of divine confirmation, knowing beyond the shadow of a doubt that the sunflower was the symbol for my book. God, You are so good!

As I marveled at the sunflowers surrounding me, I realized how perfectly they reflected my own journey of seeking God’s guidance. Like the sunflower, I had been searching for clarity, waiting for God to show me

the way. I felt deeply assured He was answering my prayer, revealing that, just as the sunflower follows the sun for warmth, light, and direction, I too could trust that He would provide the support I needed on my own journey.

But that wasn’t all. Diana and I sat down to an incredible, authentic Cuban dinner she had prepared, and we shared a beautiful conversation where she told me all about Women World Leaders (WWL) and showed me the Voice of Truth magazine. As I opened that magazine, I felt my heart stir. I was swept up by the truth woven through every page—God’s truth spoken powerfully and with conviction. As I read, I got goosebumps and thought, I must be a part of this. The magazine was on fire, alive with purpose, and I couldn’t help but feel a deep connection to the mission of WWL.

But the story doesn’t end there. As we finished the meal and Diana served the most incredible caramelized flan, she said, “I have something for you.” She handed me a gift, and of course, the wrapping paper was—wait, you guessed it—sunflowers. God, You have such a sense of humor.

My heart swelled as I realized this was yet another piece of God’s divine orchestration. Diana, with her radiant smile and generous heart, said,

“You’ve poured your heart and soul into the lives of all the women who attended the retreat, and now I want to pour into you.”

And little did she know, I had been struggling that very day with whether to continue in my ministry, Crafted with Purpose. The weight of the decision felt heavy, and I was unsure of the path ahead. But in that moment, with Diana’s words, her smile, and the love she exuded, I felt God’s love reach straight into my heart. He heard my cry, and through Diana, He lifted me out of the slimy pit I was in that day. He placed my feet on solid rock—the rock of His truth and love—and put a new song of praise in my mouth: He hears me, He renews me, He is the solid rock on which I stand. Praise you, Jesus.

But the story doesn’t end there, either. As Diana handed me this beautiful gift, she smiled and said, “I have a few more for you.” She proceeded to shower me with four more gifts, each one a tangible expression of her love and support. I was overwhelmed by Diana’s generosity, her deep love for God, and her faithfulness to serve and encourage others. I felt the love of God pour through her in ways that words cannot fully capture.

As I reflect on that evening with Diana, I am in awe of how God used her to pour His love and truth into my heart in a way I desperately needed. It wasn’t just the sunflower symbolism that spoke to me, but the way Diana’s unwavering faith and love reflected the heart of God. Through her, I was reminded that even in moments of doubt, God is faithful to confirm His calling and meet us where we are.

The gifts she gave me—both tangible and spiritual—were a powerful reminder of God’s provision. And through Diana’s generosity, I felt lifted up, encouraged, and empowered to continue my ministry. She became a living example of what it means to be a voice of truth in someone’s life, and for that, I will forever be grateful.

HOPE on the MOUNTAIN

Global Connections

WhenI was twenty-six, Jesus saved my life. It wasn’t a fleeting emotion; it was a full heart rescue that changed my direction and my desires. Since that day, my deepest “yes” has belonged to Him. The journey since has been beautiful and messy and stretching, but it has carried me into a calling I love: serving with a global missions organization that helps impact millions of children around the world. I get to watch hope walk into places where despair used to live. Every time it does, I remember the day hope walked into mine.

Of all the roles I carry, my favorite is “Mama.” I have the sweetest little world-changer named Avi Jax. My girl is curious, tender, and brave. She is six, and being her mother is the honor of my life. Her laughter fills our home, and her questions sharpen my faith. She is why I care about the future and why I want to spend my life building a world where children are fed, protected, and invited into the love of Jesus.

About a year ago, my husband and I separated for biblical reasons after being married for eight years. He broke my heart with his actions and left me shattered. That sentence is simple to read and complicated to live. After a year of asking God for wisdom, counsel, and courage, it was finally time to break free. That was the year I laid everything on the altar. When the final papers were signed, my heart was broken—but not abandoned. I knew, with all my heart, that God had been in it the entire time. He had led me step by step, and even when I could not see the next step, He saw me.

In the middle of the hardest season of it all, I boarded a plane to Panama to lead a team visiting our Hope Zones. Hope Zones are rooted places—local churches and leaders meeting weekly with children who need nutrition, discipleship, safety, and play. In a Hope Zone, kids receive the food their bodies need, the stories of Jesus their souls crave, and, through our partners, a playground that gives them back a piece of childhood. The mission field has always been where God meets me with clarity. It was on the mission field that He called me to leave a job I loved and step into ministry. It was on the mission field that God told me it was time to become a mother. It was on the mission field that He called me to be a pastor. I arrived in Panama with that expectation whispering over my heart: “Speak, Lord. I’m listening.”

One day, we rode deep into the mountains to visit a church tucked among green hills and unpaved roads. Before our program began in that community, children were passing out in school because they had not eaten for one to two days, and girls were given to men at just ten years old. That reality lodged in my throat like a stone. Now, because of faithful local leaders and generous partners, those same children were being nourished, singing, learning Scripture, and learning their worth. Inside the small sanctuary, I listened to their voices—thin and bright and brave—rise in worship. It sounded like hope.

As our team stepped outside, I noticed a woman I hadn’t seen before. She wore white shoes and a simple, cute dress, which was slightly out of place for a mountain outpost, and yet she carried herself with a settled joy. I watched her for a moment, drawn to the light in her face, and then walked over. “Who are you?” I asked with a laugh. Her joy felt like electricity wrapped in gentleness. She told me she served on a missions team that partners with more than 2,500 churches across Panama.

He had led me step by step, and even when I could not see the next step, He saw me.

I told her I had come on this trip fasting and asking the Lord to speak to me. “Would you pray and share whatever the Holy Spirit gives you?” I asked. She took my hands and said, “Tell me about yourself.” I hesitated. At that point, almost no one knew the depth of my personal storm: the separation, the grief, the disappointment that sits heavy in your chest and doesn’t move when you ask it to. But the Holy Spirit whispered, “Tell her everything.”

So I did. I grabbed her hand, took her to a quiet spot, and told her everything. How I was abused as a child on multiple levels, how I carried rejection and abandonment from both parents, how

You are not disqualified.

I had fought for my marriage, and then watched it shatter. I spoke words I had barely admitted to my own heart. When I finished, she lifted her left hand. On her ring finger sat a small cross on a band, a symbol where a wedding ring used to be.

“I haven’t been married in thirty years,” she said gently. “My husband abused me and cheated on me. Ending it was the hardest decision I ever made. For a long time, I believed God couldn’t use me as a divorced woman.” She paused, eyes steady and kind. “But God allowed certain things, and He has taken me farther than I could have gone if I had stayed broken. Amanda, He can use a divorced woman. He can take you places that He could not take you with Him. The best part of your story is ahead of you.”

I didn’t realize how deep my insecurity ran until her words touched it like light. I wept—tears that felt like release, like a door unlocking inside my chest. The Lord knew exactly what I needed and timed the message to the minute. On a moun-

tain in Panama, with worship still echoing in the air, He gave me a future-tense promise: You are not disqualified. I carried that promise down the mountain and onto every plane since.

If I could sit across from you, friend, and press a few truths into your hands, I would start here.

FIRST, SERVE OTHERS.

When we take our eyes off our pain and put our hands to our purpose, something miraculous happens. The ache does not disappear, but it stops being our whole world. Serving reframes suffering; it reminds us we are part of a bigger story. On days when grief felt like a weighted blanket, showing up for kids in a Hope Zone pulled me back into light. Purpose does not erase pain, but it gives it context, direction, and beauty.

SECOND, FAST AND PRAY.

If you have never fasted, learn about it, ask trusted leaders, and start simply. Fasting is not a hunger strike to get God to do what we want; it is a surrender that makes us more available to what He wants. In my hardest season, fasting did not change God; it changed me. It quieted the noise, clarified the truth, and gave me courage I didn’t have on my own. My “yes” became steadier because my attention was clearer.

THIRD,

NOTHING YOU HAVE DONE (and nothing done to you) CAN DISQUALIFY YOU FROM THE CALL OF GOD.

Sin needs repentance; wounds need healing; boundaries may need to be rebuilt. But the One who redeems our souls also repurposes our stories. Abuse, rejection, betrayal, divorce: these are not the end of the road. In Jesus, they can become altars—places where we mark His faithfulness and step forward differently. When you can be brave enough to use your pain for purpose, that’s where hope lives.

There are a few more truths I’m learning as I go. Obedience matters more than image. God will ask us to do hard, holy things that do not always make sense to everyone watching. He meets us where we show up: in the classroom, the workplace, the church, and yes, on the mission field. Community matters, too. We need women and men who can look us in the eyes and speak life when our own voice shakes. That day in Panama, God used a stranger in white shoes to be a prophet and a sister. I want to be that kind of woman for others.

Today, I continue to serve with a team that believes every child is seen by God and deserves a chance to thrive. I’ve watched communities transform when children are fed, when Scripture is taught, and when a playground appears like a burst of color in the middle of concrete. I’ve watched my daughter, Avi Jax, grow up around these stories, which has made her prayers simple and bold, her compassion widening with every trip. We are building a life that says yes to Jesus and yes to the world He loves. Grateful to serve the mission of Kids Around the World with my whole heart.

If you are walking through a valley, realign and reset. Lift your eyes. Ask the Lord to speak, and then make space to hear Him. Serve someone. Fast a meal. Tell the truth about your story to a safe, Spirit-led person.

And when the enemy whispers that you are too broken, too late, too complicated, or too far gone, answer with this: God is not finished with me. The best part of my story is ahead.

Women World Leaders, thank you for being a community that champions freedom, courage, and the call of God on women’s lives. We need each other. We need rooms of prayer, tables of laughter, and leaders who model what it looks like to keep saying “yes.” I am grateful to link arms with you in the work of the gospel, from Florida to Panama to the ends of the earth.

I don’t know where the next road will take me, but I know the One who leads and the little hand that often holds mine. For Jesus, for the children we serve, and for my daughter who watches everything I do, I will keep walking. My heart has been broken and remade. My story has been rerouted and redeemed. And by grace, I plan to spend the rest of my life inviting others into the same rescue.

Realign. Reset. God has something good for you. Keep going.
